Since I only could access the in-law unit bedroom wall side, I requested mineral wool, two layers of quietrock with green glue in between. Many contractors did not want to do the two layers of quietrock and didn't think the green glue was necessary. Do It Now Drywall immediately recommended all these as the best option for my wall. They were professional, prompt, courteous, experienced, and completed the whole job from prep to cleanup and even help me painted the wall with reasonable pricing. They made sure to insulate the electric outlets and used acoustic caulking to seal all gaps. Pleased with the results as I can watch movies at a decent enjoyable volume without disturbing the in-law bedroom.

The Negatives: Some of our brand new ceiling HVAC vents now need new duct taping and sealing. They left a crazy amount of mess on our lawn and sidewalk, even with wasting a LOT of water power washing their mess away into the street gutters, which in itself was inappropriate. There is no way it's ok to just wash that stuff into our water systems. They gouged the corners of knee walls that now need patching. We can repair our house. But the water waste and contamination was not acceptable.

I panicked and tried to figure out who I would contact in this situation. Had my insurance company adjuster come out to give me a claim estimate and then I came on Yelp to find a good drywall company. I looked for companies that were close to my parents' residence, had mainly all 5 star Yelp reviews, and would respond quickly to my request. I didn't have a lot of time to spare, and wanted to get the repairs done as soon as possible. Israel responded quickly and I was able to get an appointment scheduled with him.
