We couldn't be more happy with Steve and the work he did on our garages. It started when we decided to epoxy the floors. We knew we should paint the garage before doing anything to the floors. In order to do that, we needed some drywall tape & texture work done to the drywall to make it ready for paint. We did not care about the type of texture, so Steve did what he calls "garage smooth". He suggested this wouldn't create a texture on the walls which would collect a lot of dust and look dirty over time. It was also cheaper too, and gave us smooth, clean walls. We got two bids, one from Steve and one from an unlicensed drywaller. Not only was Steve's bid lower, Steve is licensed, bonded and insured! Let that be a lesson to homeowners who think hiring someone unlicensed will save them money. Steve shows up when he says he will. He communicated great through the process. He took our project even though it was small. I felt totally comfortable not being at home when Steve & his guys were here. He took both our unfinished garages and made the walls smooth for prime/paint, and they look excellent. Steve has done two different jobs for us. We had a roof leak this winter and Steve was here very quickly and knocked out the repair in a single day. He not only took care of the drywall issues but hauled out the wet insulation and replaced it with new dry materials and made sure to minimize dust and debris. Steve just finish up repairing a significant 10' vertical crack that existed in my living room drywall for over 15 years. While over the years I've (and a few others) have attempted to repair this ugly drywall crack, but at the end of the day it was apparent that I needed a professional in this business to make a final repair, so I searched on YELP and located Foothills Drywall. And what a GREAT FIND! Steve was quick to setup a service appointment based upon some photos that I sent of the damaged area. The plastic fell from the ceiling allowing some spray to get on the walls. Effort was made to clean it up but that stuff is tough to get. I had a few drywall patch and texture spots in the house and one in the garage...the garage was actually a couple pieces of sheetrock worth of work (water heater leaked). I did the garage sheetrock demolition, reinstall, tape, and a just a little prep inside the house because I wanted the patches in the house to be PERFECT and didn't feel confident doing a high quality finish mud and texturing myself. So, I called Steve at Foothills Drywall. He stopped by within a few days, taking time out of his busy schedule, gave me a quote, and told me his son Justin would be over first thing in the morn. Justin showed on time, had a great attitude and worked hard. He got started laying down paper and plastic, then repaired a dented bullnose corner, taped and mudded an 8"x8" access hole in the guest room wall, and top coated the garage wall. Now, I have to admit, I'm a perfectionist. I told Justin from the get go, "I don't want to see any imperfections...it has to be perfect!" He said, "no problem." After seven hours watching Justin rotate between each patch like musical chairs, all I can say is, AMAZING! What a nice job he did. I just have to do a little bit of sanding to lightly blend in the new texture, apply primer and paint and it's as good as new! Justin would have sanded the texture too, but it needed more drying time and I felt confident that I could handle a some very light sanding.
