This review is for the great experience I had when I called Tony's Toolbox to request an…read moreappointment for an estmate. I need to fix a ceiling leak and determine why it is there! I feel that you can tell a lot about a company by talking to the person who answers the phone. Amber quickly inspired confidence in my choice of choosing this company to contact. She answered the phone immediately, was professional and listened to me carefully. She set up an appointment when Tony could visit. And she explained Tony would text me the day of the appointment with the window of time he would be arriving. Love organized and efficient. As per his word, Tony texted me and gave me a 4 to 5:00 p.m. window and showed up on time. For the next hour Tony evaluated the situation by getting a very close look at the problem area. He then went up into the attic for a closer inspection. When he came back he had pictures on his phone and explained what was going on. As it turns out there is an open area in the roof where rain water can get in. This likely created the spot that has now formed. He said it was fixable and would send me an estimate via email. If I agreed with the estimate, I would be added to his schedule. (Luckily this is a very slow leak and the ceiling spot is small.) Tony was professional, knowledgeable, and I was very pleased with choosing him out of many other people. The estimate was received the next morning! I absolutely felt it was fair and reasonable. He is a popular guy. I have a month's wait. As an aside: My neighbor was present during Tony's visit. He was so impressed with Tony that he asked for his business card. I love supporting a local, independent, and family-owned business. Thanks, Tony and Amber. See you soon.

I called R&R handyjobs to help me polish my upright organ I have downstairs, thinking that they…read moreshould be able to make quick work out of knocking the dust off of it, working in some fresh tung oil, and then buffing it off to completion, so it would shine as good as new. After negotiating a price, and making an appointment, I waited for them to come service my organ, thinking they would take care of the rest. Unfortunately, when the owner Zack showed up, he wasn't fully prepared for the job, as he did not bring any sort of ladder, or means to be able to reach the tip of my organ. For someone his size, and in his line of work, I would have expected him to bring a ladder to every job. Not wanting to make another appointment for him to return, I reluctantly agreed to him using my own personal ladder, only to find out that his hands were too rough to finish buffing it off to completion. Next time, I'll just find someone on Craigslist.
