Israel from DT Drywall is amazing! A few weeks ago, I walked into my parents' living room and was alarmed to see drywall and water damage on their wall and ceiling. I panicked and tried to figure out who I would contact in this situation. Had my insurance company adjuster come out to give me a claim estimate and then I came on Yelp to find a good drywall company. I looked for companies that were close to my parents' residence, had mainly all 5 star Yelp reviews, and would respond quickly to my request. I didn't have a lot of time to spare, and wanted to get the repairs done as soon as possible. Israel responded quickly and I was able to get an appointment scheduled with him. Communication was excellent with him and I was impressed how knowledgeable, professional and friendly he was. He would inform me on what the process was, so I had a good idea of what to expect. On the day of our appointment, Israel showed up on time and did an amazing job. The area looked brand new! His price was very reasonable and it was an altogether smooth and enjoyable experience. Long story but the leak was a simple fix but not the ceiling, I cut out way too much trying to figure it out. D T drywall came out and in 1 day made it look like I didn't do way too much damage. I had water damage drywall repair in my bedroom from water heater leak and Israel came out on a Saturday to give me estimate and started work the following week. He knew immediately what had to be done and explained the process. After repairing the drywall he textured and painted the whole wall. In looking at it, his work was seamless. I had the ceiling drywall replaced in my living room and met with 4 contractors for quotes in the process (with a ridiculous quote for $2000+). Israel was prompt, courteous, and came in with the lowest competitive bid. Most importantly, Israel came on time, professional, worked hard, was tidy in the process, and the end result was a beautiful, paint-ready ceiling. Found this company on yelp. He was very responsive and on time. Definitely the best price around. Showed up on time and actually finished the project a day early. The ceiling was well blended and you can't even see where the two holes were in the ceiling. It came out way better than expected. I'm keeping his card around for the future. For this particular project I reached out to several drywall contractors for a fairly small job. Most responded but not all. Of the ones that did few were exceptional in their communication. Pricing, communication and prior Yelp reviews were deciding factors. As I may have mentioned in other reviews, trust is key for me. If the business knows how to and builds trust that's a huge positive in my book. With that said, Israel of DT Drywall was very professional, attentive and communicated very well via Yelp and text. Pricing wasn't the cheapest but we all know you get what you pay for and wasn't the most expensive either. Definitely a fair price point for the project. The other aspect was getting this scheduled. It was a breeze and we agreed upon a one-hour window. Israel arrived right on time and after a brief review of the project got started. His work product was excellent! He cleaned up after himself and was respectful of my home. In fact, he did such a great job and was such a good guy I'm looking at having him complete a much larger project in the near future. I had Israel repair some holes in the ceiling from fallen trees in two bedrooms. He did a good job repairing the holes, but unfortunately matching the texture was not good at all. The texture does not match, plus lots of lines in the ceiling and areas that are bulging out. I will probably hire someone else to re-texture the entire ceiling, since it does not match. His price was in the middle of road and I did have a fair amount of cleanup to do after he left. A big mess by the front door and in the driveway and lots of texture over spray onto the walls, which required extensive painting and cleanup after he left. Overall, I would NOT recommend DT Drywall for any drywall texture repairs. read more
