I picked Drywall Pro Services for my popcorn ceiling removal as the estimate was reasonable and unlike other bids I had, I felt that Jason was the most thorough in estimating as well as explaining his process. During the project, they discovered some very unsightly mold, cut it out, investigated it before contacting me because they didn't want to cause undue worry if it was not a big issue. I really appreciated this and the time Jason took to explain what he found (and that he completely removed the mold so crisis adverted!). Also, they took a few packages which were delivered to me and put them in my garage which was very thoughtful. They even textured an area they weren't charging me for so that the look would be seamless. My final bill was identical to my estimate despite the mold and some additional patchwork which wasn't part of the estimate. We hired Jason to repair our ceilings after some damaged to our kitchen ceiling. We had three estimates for the job, we chose Jason because he was recommended by a family member and stated that he was efficient and time sensitive. From the three bids we received, the price was good and he offered multi-pay options, which is a plus. Most of the others were not responsive within a timely matter in responding, Jason was very responsive, with calling and texting. Jason did most of the work, presentable, friendly, professional and hard working. Everything was done when stated, kept clean and most of all out of our hair by the time we got home from work. I hate giving reviews like this. Honestly, I understand people make mistakes but Jason took my money and didn't finish the job. He was great until he wasn't. I hired him to install drywall in my kitchen. He understood I needed one wall to be ready for tile backsplash all the way up to the ceiling on the wall where the hood is to be installed. When he "finished" the job and I paid him, he told me that the wall was ready for tile. When my tile guy came out he showed me the wall is not flat enough and it needs to be fixed before tile can be installed. I called and texted Jason to ask him to come back and smooth out the obvious bumps or at a minimum talk to me about it. He never called me back. I showed the wall to another drywall contractor who said absolutely needs to be "floated out" to be ready for tile. Jason won't come back and fix this or return my calls and now I'm expected to pay $300 for another contractor to finish the job correctly. Not only that, this is delaying my kitchen installation because it has to be finished before the cabinets can be installed. I'm happy to take this review down if Jason finally gets back to me asap and saves me $300 or somehow shows me how my tile and another well rated and licensed drywall installer are mistaken. read more

It saddens me to write such a poor review. However, considering the fact that I found this business on Yelp based on its great reviews I find it important to share our bad experience with this company. When Jason came out to give us an estimate he was very kind and we trusted the great reviews of his work and professionalism. We hired him to skim coat all the interior cinderblock walls in our home, which is 90% of our home, this was a huge investment for us, something we saved for several years to afford to do. We had lots of concerns and in the beginning Jason was very understanding and responsive. However when mistakes were made and needed to be corrected there was a ton of pushback causing a lot of stress. He eventually agreed to correct the mistakes at no cost to us, but getting to that point was difficult. I don't feel Jason saw our project as anything more than a job and he was off to the next before our work was even complete. But this is our home, where we are raising our family and something we worked really hard for. The lack of care and concern was very apparent, especially when poop was left in our toilet and paint overspray was everywhere it shouldn't be. The walls have tons of imperfections and marks from the tools used to smooth the walls and we have had several issues with the skim coat cracking, no less than 3 months after it was applied with no response from Jason as to what can be done to stop the cracking and repair the damage. Zero care that his work is now causing us more money to fix and looks bad. It's really disappointing that our experience wasn't as great as these other clients of his. I feel this was a rushed job and he was irritated at us for the mistakes he made, causing him to write us off and not respond to concerns we've had after the work was complete. I wanted to love this company because of all the glowing reviews. I had high hopes. Unfortunately I did not and I am giving them a one star review based on professionalism as we never got to the work part. I contacted them and they got back to me in a timely manner and told me they could come the following week and they would get back to me. On Sunday of following week they asked me if they could come Thursday at 1 and we set the appointment. I even got an email confirmation which is unusual in the construction field so that was promising. Thursday came and I waited and waited, I even gave them a one hour leeway before I called, then email, then PM'd to find out if they were coming. No call back. I even saw that they "read" my PM on Friday morning and they didn't respond. That kinda ticked me off so I PM'd them again saying I saw they read my PM and that I guessed they weren't interested in salvaging a client, then I got a response back. The secretary said she would look into why Jason didn't show up and get back with me. Well that hasn't happened hence the one star review. I would have given them a chance to rectify this but at this point I'm moving on. I just wish they wouldn't have waisted two weeks of my time. read more

Jason fixed the ceiling in our spare room. We had water damage from when the roof leaked and my husband tried to DIY but it wasn't his thing. I had called so many people and hardly any even responded to give me a quote. Jason was responsive and quick. We had an appointment with this company exactly a week ago, from today. Isabella had sent us email and text confirmation for the 6/10, Thursday noon appointment, which we definitely confirmed. We are working people, so obviously we took time off from work for the appointment/walkthrough. Unfortunately, no one showed up! We called, left voicemail, sent text message, no response from them. We understand things come up all the time and one cannot always make it, or respond in a timely manner BUT it's been a week and we still haven't heard anything from them. I contacted DPS based on their reviews on Yelp with no prior reference or past projects. Our project was medium/large with several rooms including 500sqft of ceiling, retexturing, awkward patching and a full new kitchen, laundry, dining room and garage. Without a doubt, hiring DPS was one of the best decisions I have made on our remodel. Jason and his team were professional, on time every time, and their quality was top notch. They adapted quickly to minor changes well. They set up a professional work space, and even hosed the driveway down when they cleaned up. I will have them back for phase 2 of the project. I couldn't believe the speed in which they worked when getting the drywall hung, and our project had lots of nooks and lines to work around. When it came time for texture, it was apparent these guys are freaking pros. If you are considering a couple companies, just know these guys will deliver and you get what you pay for.
