Tacos

Came here to watch the first Knick's and Cavaliers game on there rooftop. It was very hot however it was expected they had a fan and eventually as it got later it was better. Had a shrimp taco and it was good along with a Malibu bay breeze which was perfect. Service was not that quick however it was pretty busy and seemed that there was maybe one or two servers.

My friends and I came here to celebrate on a Saturday night and the vibes are definitely great past 10 PM. The music from the DJ was great and the food was really good. The service from the host stand wasn't the best but it was a busy Saturday night - definitely make a reservation for a table for the weekends.

Loud music. Happy vibes. Colorful decor. Bland food. Good service. Over priced. No flavor on the meat. Coffee rub steak didn't have rub.

Very torn about my experience at Agave Maria. It didn't start off great - we waited at the bar while waiting for friends to arrive. All of the bartenders/waitstaff were standing in a corner on their phones and laughing. They weren't paying attention. Finally got a drink and we were able to head upstairs to the speakeasy for our table. Our experience was much better upstairs. Our server (Carmen, I think) was super sweet and checked on us often as we had a big table. We all ordered from the holiday drinks - they were so festive-looking but some odd drink choices as well. I had the mixed ceviche which had quite a kick to it! Also had the churrasco which I LOVED. Shout out to the bartender, Jesus! He kept the drinks coming. The speakeasy was beautifully decorated for Christmas and luckily we were sat right next to the tree

Super fun vibe. Perfect for girls night or date night. The music was great, the drinks were even better. The food was good and our server was very nice. I was disappointed because the speakeasy wasn't open and the music was so good that I wanted to dance but there was no room to do so. I'd love to come back during warmer weather to check out the rooftop.

We visited Agave María in Belleville to celebrate a friend's birthday and chose the 3rd floor, which offers a great atmosphere for groups--perfect for sharing, talking, and having a good time. The DJ was excellent, and the music really added to the overall vibe of the night. I definitely recommend calling ahead if you're looking for a specific atmosphere or planning a group celebration. The birria tacos were outstanding, full of flavor and easily one of the best dishes we had. The food overall was excellent. That said, the service needs significant improvement. There were no water refills, and when dessert was served, we had to eat it with knives because no spoons were provided. These details took away from what could have been a great experience. In summary, great food and atmosphere, but the service still has a lot of room for improvement.

Honestly expected a little more from this place , the decor is beautiful and the bar has a big variety of hard liquor . However for a Mexican restaurant their variety of Mexican beer is very poor . We ordered chicken fajitas and streak tacos , the tacos were good , but the chicken was unseasoned and dry so that was disappointing. We sat at the bar and even tho the bartender was somewhat friendly , but we had to chase him to place an order and find him again to ask for the bill . He disappeared , if you had any questions or wanted another drink he was simply not present at the bar the entire time we were there . They have parking and a rooftop as well They need to work on their customer service and also on the menu , for a place that looks so nice and fancy the menu is weak and blah , not that many options :( Disappointed!

Had a great dinner and can't wait to come back! The service is quick and the ambiance is fun with a little club vibe and a DJ. Definitely try the empanadas if you're a fan!

We absolutely LOVE it here! The vibe is always on point with great energy and a DJ that never misses. The food is consistently flavorful and tastes super authentic. We're big fans of the upstairs speakeasy too. It has a loungey and intimate feel that makes it perfect for a date night if the loud DJ vibe. Easily one of our favorite spots in Belleville!

Did a birthday party for a friend here on their rooftop on a Friday night at the end of August. Nicole helped me with the reservation and the million questions that I needed answered. She was patient and super helpful. The rooftop was decorated beautifully and the DJ was amazing!! The food was even better. 14 ppl and it wasn't even that expensive, I would say about $80 a head with appetizers, main courses & lots of drinks. Our waitress Victoria was phenomenal and super attentive. We ate and danced the night away... oh and drank. If you are looking for a place to have a birthday, a girls night or even a date night, I highly recommend this spot. Parking can get a little tricky, they share the municipal parking, which is right next door with the police department. We did get lucky and found a spot. But there is also street parking and more parking towards the back of the restaurant as well.

Roasted chicken

First off there is plenty of street parking. The roasted chicken was pretty good. I like the vibe of this place definitely a must go for group friends or couples night out. It has three floors. The first floor, speak easy the second floor and then the roof top. The service was cool. The waitress was polite, courteous and patient. The bathroom was super clean which is always a plus on my end. Is this a hidden yes it is. Thanks Agave Maria for a good meal and thanks for those reading this review I'll catch you on the next bite!

We visited for their Winter Wonderland themed speakeasy to enjoy their holiday cocktails. The decor of the place was so festive and aesthetic - loved the ambiance all around. They had twinkling lights hung all around the room along with snowflakes. We started with the nachos and they were absolutely delicious! I ordered the Oaxaca bowl for my entree and it was filling and flavorful - the bowl was also hugee! I really enjoyed their seasonal exclusive "The Elf" cocktail - the addition of a matcha cold foam was very unique and worked well. While the decor and food was great, I wish I could say the same for the service. The server was attentive at first, however towards the end we had to keep trying to get their attention & kept overlooking our table /: They had a large party seated in the middle as well and told me to move my chair and pushed the couch basically into our table (the couch was touching our table). That made our party kind of uncomfortable because we no longer had space.

Parking was challenging, service was very slow on a Thursday when it was not even packed. I can't imagine on a Friday or Saturday!! Food was an 8.5 of 10, drinks were a 9 and dessert chocolate lava cake was pretty bad, about a 5. The staff was polite and pleasant just extremely too slow. Music was really great! 10/10 for the variety of music.

They are renowned for their vibrant flavors, bold spices, and diverse dishes catering to all tastes using ingredients such as tomatoes, onions, garlic, and cilantro. Authentic Mexican food is more than tacos and salsa. The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area. Our server Lisa with her outgoing personality and her desire to make our visit enjoyable, which we didn't feel rushed. Good experience overall, which we can recommend.

The guacamole appetizer was great. Margaritas had slightly too much ice, but were delicious. Good beer selection and menu was great. Stand outs was the mole chicken - that sauce was amazing ! The guacamole didn't taste fresh at all and the chicken in the flautas had no flavor. For dinner, I had the enchiladas suizas. The chicken was the same chicken used in the flautas aka flavorless and the tomatillo "salsa" did not taste like salsa at all. It actually tasted more like the "avocado mousse" that the flautas were drenched in. My husband had the carnitas michoacan and he said they were just okay/super greasy/wouldn't get them again. Both our meals were supposed to come with rice and beans, but they only bought one side for us to share. When I looked around the restaurant, it seemed like they only bring one side per table regardless of party size. This to me is a rip off especially since this place is pricey. My 2 year old was also with us and we got him chicken fingers and fries from their very limited kids options. When I asked if he can have rice and beans instead of fries, they said no. You're a Mexican restaurant - maybe put a taco option with rice and beans on the kids menu. For dessert, we got tres leches- it was fine. The only other things ordered were a cocktail and a beer. We waited SOOOO long to get the bill and even longer for someone to come back to take our payment. With tip included- our total was about $180. That is very steep for the quality and quantity of food. Sadly, I don't think we will return.

VERY simple looking from the outside but extremely inviting atmosphere and decor when you get in. It is street parking only on a busy main street. I got lucky and scored a spot directly in front of the restaurant on this rainy evening. We started with the Quesadilla with steak in a corn tortilla. This is what really brought it down from 5 to 4 stars. Keep in mind, this was the equivalent to our appetizer, so we were very nervous after this. Extremely lack luster. Disappointingly little steak and even less cheese. It was as if we were eating a piece of a corn tortilla. Avoid the quesadilla. We then shared an order of enchiladas. Things were getting better. Enchiladas were solid. Nice kick to the green sauce with pieces of pineapple to hit you with a left hook. Came with rice and beans as well. This could've been a meal but we decided to share this to try different things. The burrito was the final thing on the menu. I got the Al Pastor burrito and it was excellent. Very tasty and well put together. Only thing that struck me odd was that it came with French fries opposed to rice and beans. I kind of would've enjoyed it a lot more with the rice and beans as the fries were average at best. I ordered online as I was stuck in traffic and everything was ready when I got there, which was prior to the estimated pickup time. All in all, very solid meal and there's plenty of seating if you're looking to dine in as well.
