Here's a small establishment with a TREMENDOUS kick. We were looking for something different and hit my trusty Yelp app and came across this restaurant. I ordered and paid online and everything went very smooth. Parking is rough. There is street only parking in a busy street that connects two busy towns. Inside is very clean and I love the decor. Vibrant colors and pictures with some seating for those looking to eat in. To start, we got the nachos with chicken. I got the Parrillada for dinner and my wife got the chimichanga. Nachos were great. Nice and cheesy with beans in between layers with chicken everywhere. The Parrillada was AMAZING. Came with pork, skirt steak, chicken, jalapeños, onions, peppers; it was just massive. For the price, you can't beat it. Easily enough for two people and I can eat. All the meats were so tender and flavorful. Just insane. The accoutrements accented everything phenomenally. The meal also came with a side of rice and beans in separate containers. Went to this restaurant after being bamboozled by Tops Diner, which was closed. Saw the reviews and thought to myself "oh wow, five stars, yea right, can't be that good." Lo and behold my score... I played myself, this restaurant was fantastic across the board. The nachos were great, the jalapeños had good flavor. Some of the weaker willed people I was with thought they were spicy, so if any invertebrates are reading this, consider yourself forewarned. The chips seemed to be homemade which is pretty admirable, most second rate restaurants just serve Doritos. They also came with a good variety of sauces to try along with salsa, all very tasty. I didn't find anything particularly spicy, but that's hardly an issue considering how good everything tasted. I had the mole poblano which was pretty great (noticing a pattern here?) the mole was sweeter than I'd expected but in a good way. Portions were generous as well. I tried some cactus from someone else's plate and it was great as well. The service was also exceptional, particularly in the water department. Water service is typically something vital that even the best of restaurants fall short on, but this was different. My glass of water was literally never even HALF empty. Good water service isn't just about hydration, it's about respect. This restaurant's got it all figured out. The only thing remotely wrong I can think of about this place is the availability of the bathroom which was pretty small. If you are claustrophobic, the bathroom probably won't be your cup of tea. It was hardly an issue for me, especially since it (along with the rest of the restaurant) was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. read more

Based on the description ("lettuce, tomatoes &onions") wasn't expecting much from the house salad. What I WAS expecting was the "dressing of the house", which was not included with my takeout order. But were a bit dry and brown, needed salsa or pico or green onions or something to lighten and jazz them up. Mole was outstanding. This was a five star dish and one of the best I have ever had. Not to mention a very generous portion. Would have to agree with others that this place is authentic and delicious. Would try again and would recommend. Because the nachos were good not great, this is probably a 4.5 star deal, but when you forget something in a takeout order its at least minus one star. Wound up here after being turned away from Tops Diner, whose website falsely stated that walk-ins are welcome. It looks like a small takeout place that happens to be immaculately clean. There were only Hispanic people in the place, which was a fantastic sign to me. I was right! The food is absolutely authentic and wonderful! I always drove by this restaurant and never gave it a chance until quarantine life. They are really good and the service is great. They always called us to let us know when our order was ready for pick up and they delivered all the way to Belleville. It's like a 15-20 minute drive and they still delivered to us! We always order some kind of taco and it was delicious!! I love the beef soup and the chorizo fundido. My fiancé LOVE the fried snapper too. There's definitely more to try and we will be back. I ordered the mix combination tacos and had the fried pork, al pastor, and lengua. You can definitely tell the tortillas are homemade and not the pre bought tortillas. They are thin and light so it's not all tortilla when you bite into it. I ordered the chicken torta too and that was delicious as well! I will definitely be returning to this place.
