Absolutely my favorite piercing shop in southern Oregon. I did a lot of research before checking places out since i moved here about 4 years ago. Agave in bloom is VERY reputable and their staff goes above and beyond, truly. First, i decided to book a shopping appointment for a new nose ring, and once i saw what this shop was like, i booked my second appointment for two new ear piercings. I got a tragus and conch done by Jasper and they were simply immaculate all around! Not only was jasper so patient and kind with me, but they completed my piercings so quickly and effortlessly that i barely felt any pain. It had been years since my last piercings so i felt quite nervous but the way jasper talked me through the process really comforted me. She's friendly and really knows what she's doing and will take her time throughout the whole process. She has A TON of beauty jewelry (pricier than most) and will let you see what they look like on before committing. I think she charges the base price of $35 plus the jewelry cost. Mariel was amazing! I requested a Shen Men piercing which supposedly helps with anxiety and depression, among other things. She was knowledgeable and informative about this piercing but very honest that this piercing is not *proven* to help anything. I had wanted both ears pierced but she let me know it would be hard to sleep if I did that so she strongly suggested against it. I picked a gorgeous gold triangle earring from her abundant collection. I was nervous because it was my first cartilage piercing but it was fast and only hurt for a split second....Could not recommend her more! read more

We went here to get our daughter's ears pierced, after many talks with her about how it works and what to expect. We weren't told what the price was until after only one ear was actually pierced. My daughter got nervous about getting the second ear done and when I tried to have a conversation with my daughter, the piercer kept interrupting us and was actually convincing my daughter that she didn't want to do it. I went to get my wife, so that she could talk with our daughter and the piercer kept injecting her opinions into the conversation between my daughter and wife. Also, while we were waiting, they rudely came out and told me that I had to move my vehicle down the street. Don't recommend. read more

Do not go here to pierce a child's ears!!!! They will completely disrespect you as a parent, interrupt your conversation with your child, and insert themselves into your conversation with your child!!! My husband and I waited until our daughter was old enough to tell us she wanted her ears pierced. We made sure to explain everything to her, and we made an appointment a couple of weeks later. Everything was fine until after the first ear was done. Then, as I am sure happens often, my daughter didn't want to do the second ear. My husband got me because I am usually the one my daughter wants when she is having a harder time with something. As I was trying to talk to my daughter, the piercing person, Jasper, kept overstepping to talk over me to my daughter, interrupting our conversation. I don't have a problem with not piercing a child's ear that doesn't want it, and I wouldn't force my daughter to do it either. My problem is with how egregiously out of line the piercing person was. No one knows my daughter better than me, and I was trying to have a conversation with my daughter to see why she changed her mind in order to establish if she would want to pierce her other ear in the future and how she was feeling in the moment. I couldn't even get that out without Jasper talking over me about how it can cause trauma to pierce when someone isn't ready (I wasn't making her get pierced), and how she is brave to say she doesn't want it (which is true, but I should be the one talking to my daughter about it, not some random piercing person). The piercing person was insinuating that I was causing trauma and forcing my child to pierce her ears when I was simply trying to have a conversation with my child about the situation. I was extremely offended by this person's behavior. As soon as we got in the car, my daughter was telling me the way the piercing person was talking to her made her more afraid. When we got home, my daughter asked me to take her to get her other ear pierced, but she specifically asked me not to take her back to the person that made it seem scary. Piercing ears is a big deal, and it is a child's choice. However, it is clear that this person made it seem much more intense and scary than it needed to be, and they overstepped by interrupting a parent/child conversation. I would not recommend for young children. read more

My only prior piercing experience was getting my ears pierced when I was 5 at the mall so I don't have experience with other piercers, and after becoming a client of Mariel's I never will either. She has a beautiful selection of high quality jewelry and is happy to help you pick out the piece(s) that is just right, or will special order anything she doesn't have. She's thoughtful in her work and is always quick to get back to me if I have a question. Where do I even begin?! She is super amazing and super clean. I was having so much anxiety about getting my verticle labret piercing but she took it one step at a time. She was very patient with me. Her set up was very sterile, she wore a mask, and was very professional. When she would line you up she would make sure it was PERFECT and then have you look at it. When you have her the okay she would explain how everything is going to go and then it would happen. I had to stop her once because I was so scared. But she was so nice and told me that we would go only when I was ready and that made me feel confident that we could do it. She's absolutely wonderful. I went in to get my nose pierced today- everybody that was there greeted me and they were all very nice- I had an appointment set with Mariel and she was amazing- she was very knowledgeable about the jewelry and products she carried and took the time to give me long term advice on placement based on other types of jewelry I may want to use in the future- it was also very clean and nice in the room that she took me for the procedure which made me feel even more at ease- Mariel explained each step as she went though the piercing and the placement and it helped just to listen to her talk through it- before I knew it I was on my way with a very cute new piercing- it is perfectly placed and I already love it- thanks to Mariel for a great experience I can't wait to come back in for more piercings in the future :) read more

Had a great experience the piercer was very knowledgeable the only thing that upset me was pricing it was not explained how expensive the jewelry was came in for a nose piercing and was told it would be $35+ cost of jewelry once everything was finished she said my total came out to $75????? Mariel was so nice and helpful. I had incredibly irritated piercings and after 9 months of discomfort, I decided I wanted them removed. I didn't want to go back to where I had gotten them pierced before because it didn't work out to begin with. So I stopped in at Gypsy Moon right as they opened at 11. Mariel was just getting done with a client and told me she could take them out for me. After attempting to take my rings out of my cartilage on my own, I was scared it would hurt. Mariel took them out in less than 60 seconds and little-to-no pain. She told me what to do in the future, gave me info about how I should let them heal and when/if I want to try again. She told me I didn't owe her anything for removing the rings. I will DEFINITELY be going back to try again. read more
