Well, ALL my worries were completely diminished when Mark, the owner, came out and sat with us to thoroughly discuss the good and bad of what "might" happen. He stayed with Charlie through the whole visit. Charlie was so incredibly genuine and really took the time to listen to our wants. You have to understand, these tattoos are very small crescent moons. We called Benjamin, who owns Universal Rites, and he was able to get us in the next day! We came in and the space has a really cool vibe. It's very comfortable, clean, and has a lot of fun artwork on the walls. He did such an amazing job with the tattoo and he was so great to work with. What won the contest was me mentioning that I wanted to get a pray mantis, and Jaime had found one on the front door of the shop. She snapped a few pictures of it, traced it, and that's he little dude we put in there. We did an olive branch because my grandmas first job was picking olives, and my daughter's name is Olive. A California poppy because I'm born and raised in Northern California. And pink azaleas because I had one in the front yard of my child hood home.
