I do not remember who did my eyebrows but she did an incredible job - was very slow and meticulous and shaped those babies up (not to her credit the previous brow lady had built a decent eyebrow template for her to follow). I've been coming here pretty consistently for the last 6 years. I initially did not like this place that much until a newer lady (never got her name, just knew by face) joined in 2018 and started doing my brows, and I was so amazed by her carefulness and gentleness that I had a hard time being sent to the other ladies working there and would even queue up for as long as 30+ min so she could thread my brows! I even had a hard time going to other threading salons because she was so good. She left a few months ago and every time that I come here now and get a different lady, I'm literally just on the edge of my seat with lots of anxiety that they don't hate me and mess up my brows because I had a strong preference for my threader. They turn out fine most of the time, but I experience redness from the pressure they put on with the thread and constantly working on the same spot. It's a hit-or-miss place and it always hit when my favorite threader worked on me but now it's literally a gamble between hit or miss when I get thrown to the first available lady. Still, can't beat the $5 price for decent threading and they probably don't have any competition for that price point.

It would be cool if all the local regulars could help her start raising some money so she can provide a bit more, but in a perfect world. Anyways, I have tried at least FIVE different threading salons near my new apt and all of them SUCK. They're all desi (south Asian peeps) and they have the worst threading techniques. She was a bit aggressive when she was filing my nails.. kinda pulled my hand like a mom pulling her kid to come this way. Like... you're in the service industry, what... Filing was not straight.. you can see that from my picture. I asked her to fix it because I could've done it myself if I wanted something so imperfect but I think she was annoyed.. she did cut my nails, filed, buffed, apply cuticle oil, cut my cuticle and gave me a small hand massage. Colour.. yikes.. the colour was sheer to the point where it doesn't look like I have anything on. I think she should've done at least 3-4 coats but only did two.. colours are suppose to be opaque but no.. I came home and luckily had a colour that was similar enough to paint on top. Overall, not returning for nails. Probably wouldn't even return for brows.. the place is tiny.. uncomfortably small but if you're really on a whim, give their threading a try as I do see a lot of people come in for that. Not recommended for nails.

Agata Nails based on my recent experience with one staff member's lack of professionalism and customer service. I had a 10:00 a.m. appointment this morning. Due to an unexpected emergency.I called to ask if my appointment could be rescheduled to 12:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with did not allow me the opportunity to explain the situation. Instead, she immediately responded with an aggressive and frustrated attitude, stating that they do not cancel appointments at 10:00 a.m.I explained that I was not trying to cancel my appointment but simply wanted to reschedule due to an emergency. She than said that only three people work there and that other clients were interested in the 10:00 a.m. time slot. I understand that businesses have policies and schedules to maintain, but I believe these situations can be handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. I have been a customer at Agata Nails multiple times and was not told that rescheduling an appointment due to an emergency would be handled this way. I was eventually told they would accommodate me "this one time." At that point, I decided to cancel the appointment altogether. I normally do not leave reviews, but I feel it is important to share my experience so that other customers are aware of how situations involving last-minute emergencies or scheduling changes may be handled. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning. read more

This nail salon is now my favorite. It's similar to Athenas and you can get a better deal here. Athenas charges $23 for a mani/pedi meanwhile in Agata Nail they have a special on Monday for $15 for mani/pedi. They take their time doing your nails and give you the nicest/relaxing massage ever. The only downside to this salon is that its very small. It would be better if it was bigger because there's only 3 mani stations and 3 pedi stations. I would of given it five stars but I minuses one because of my friends recent experience there. My friend and I came in on a Monday for a mani/pedi; my friend's sister was also there with us just hanging out. When we were done getting the mani and pedi, her sister decided that she wanted one. The pedi stations were all full but the mani stations were available and one lady was available to do her nails. My friend asked me a mani and the lady responded "no I have too many appointments". Nobody came in for 10 minutes for an appointment. She asked again and the lady said "no oh my god". My friend got pissed and the woman noticed she was wrong and she finally said "ok ill give you a mani right now and pedi u have to wait 10 minutes for". My friend ended up waiting 30 minutes after for a pedi. Other than that, this is a GREAT place to get your nails done :) read more

I went to the salon on a Thursday, 11:30am for a regular manicure ($13). Had called the day before to make an appointment, got there a bit late (that's why the bigger tip) but the ladies seemed very relaxed about it. The salon was empty & they were very casual & chatty. Fenny greeted me first & I could tell she's probably very good at nail design & detail. However, the head tech on the far left station, next to the sinks did my manicure. It's a dry (used electric filing tool to do my cuticles), no lotion, no massage experience. And the tech used a dirty (had a smear of purple polish in the middle) warm washcloth as the "hot treatment/cleaning" part. I meditated & lowered my expectations & went with the flow. Let her finish up, things look average & it wasn't until my nails were dry and I got outside that I noticed the poor quality. Application: right hand looked okay but polish got on a few of the cuticles & had to carefully remove it at home. Left hand nail polish layers were bumpy & uneven. I noticed the tech painting strokes at an angle, and then at the end, felt her dab my index finger weirdly. It's easy to mess up enamel application & with a nude color like that - of course it'll show when dry! The salon is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. The pedicure furniture and manicure stations are clean and well kept. Decor is actually cute & having the sinks in the middle of the room seems so convenient. There's an AMAZING amount of gel & regular color options! But the whole experience just involved a lot of chatter & minimal attention to detail. Not sure if I'll be back, maybe I'll request Fenny (a client came in with long red gels for her). Or maybe the staff doesn't like doing regular mani's anymore?
