I came here because I connected with one of the stylists on Instagram and reached out regarding a grey balayage. I have naturally black hair, and I made sure to mention this and sent a photo of my hair as well. The stylist told me to come at 10am, and when I asked how long the appointment would take he said 30 minutes. I thought this a bit odd since again, I have naturally jet black hair, but I figured he would know better than me so I didn't question it. I showed up to the studio and he was not there. I messaged him saying I was there, but he didn't reply. Another stylist was present and I asked when my stylist was arriving so she said she'd call him. He arrived some time later, and never apologized for being late. He started the strand test and while my hair was bleaching he went to some other area of the studio, which is normal but I was checking the time and it was already 11 and I was going to be late for another appointment. Since he told me the appointment would only take 30 minutes, I had made plans for 11:30 and that would've given me plenty of time. I would not have made those plans had he given me an accurate time estimate. But the bleach wasn't even nearly done and I needed to leave. I explained everything to him and he said for my hair the bleach could take up to an hour. I don't understand why he didn't tell me this when I explicitly asked him how long it would take. I had to leave even though it wasn't finished and didn't have time to color it back to black so I have a random yellow strand in my black hair. He never apologized for anything a single time during this entire situation. He didn't apologize for being late, or for not giving me an appropriate time estimate and causing me to be late for my next appointment. I'm extremely frustrated by my experience and don't even want to come back to get my hair fixed here. read more
