When I looked, I saw some reviews on this place about a woman named Christmas. favorite holiday... In my favorite month... Birthday month... So I said, okay! Let's give her a try! Christmas was very very accommodating and got me in the same day. When I met her, it was a breath of fresh air! Her very welcoming bright pink dreadlocks and soft texture let me know that she knew how to take care of hair. It was a very fun time. She wasn't too talkative nor too reticent. It was a great balance. The moisturizers and shampoo she used on my hair were so very gentle to the point to when she combed it and cornrowed it I didn't feel a thing. And I am extremely extremely tender headed! I love that she's a natural hair stylist so I think I found my match! I will definitely be visiting her time and time again... This might be a weekly thing! Thank you so much, Christmas!

She is truly the salt of the earth, calming, reassuring, and oh so professional... she makes you feel right at home. She even highly suggested her felow stylist (Chelsea) for my next color/highlighting visit. I can't say enough about the truly amazing color/highlight job Chelsea did on my hair!! I'll have to write about that in another post. Moral of the story... Never be afraid to try a new stylist at THE LOOK SALON... they are all GREAT!! - Sheila Artis

Ashanti told me there is a $25 late fee lol and that there was another client coming at 2 o'clock so either way my daughter could not get her hair done. I've seen great styles that she's done on other people but that doesn't speak for the customer service. Got a little lost but found my way. They opened 5 minutes after 10, which I was okay with being that I was in no rush. The lady got me started by removing the old shellac. I asked if she had time to do a pedicure since the groupon was only for a manicure with shellac. She said yes, woo hoo!! While the foil was on my fingers she started on my toes. She was great and the color came out great! After she finished with my toes she did my shellac. I was amazed by all the colors they had!! I chose the color "Molly" which I fell in love with the minute I saw it!! I was going to do something more fall like but this color got my attention. She pushes back the cuticles and cuts any hang nails. She was amazing! I'm willing to drive 30 minutes away for her services!! I even tipped her extra because I enjoyed my experience!!

I was pretty pumped to use my Groupon and had high hopes for this hair salon, unfortunately my hair…read morecame out not to my liking. The stylist, Tatiana was extremely nice and professional and I am sad to post this but the balayage to me was basically just bleach slathered all over most of my head and the parts where it was hand painted there's clearly banding/blotchiness. I also mentioned i wanted to gradually go to a blonde color, which i guess there was a misunderstanding because my hair is now a very dark brassy blonde color, i believe she misunderstood what i was wanting. My hair was too dark of orange for the toner to really do much. She should have known that and colored over it atleast if it was going to be that color. I told the hairstylist i was a bit disappointed about the banding and she didn't really say much, she did ask if i wanted her to bleach it again;which i declined because it was already processed alot more than i wanted. Some parts of my hair did have old dye in it so it's normal for some darker parts but had bleach not been so strong and a dye used over it i think the color issue would have been fixed. Updating to add: I contacted the owner and she suggested I ask Groupon for a refund or I receive 40% of the groupon price back if i'm not willing to have another stylist at the salon fix my hair. I suggested the owner contact groupon to refund me the full amount; of course she declined. Before accepting the offer of having the other stylist do my hair (since I was extremely weary) I dug a little deeper into reviews on Groupon and found other's complaining of a bad cut or color by the stylist she raved about having good reviews. Also, alot of the good reviews were for the nail appointments! That seems like she was intentionally trying to mislead me into believing all these reviews were for hair. Besides that point color correction is not something any stylist can do it takes expertise and a master colorist. I really didn't trust walking into that salon again. It's reasonable to request my money back when my hair is going to need an expert to correct the color and i'll be out ATLEAST 300$. I'm not even sure why I paid in the first place, I guess I was just in shock and didn't feel like disputing being charged. I drove 1 1/2 hours each way only to walk out with hair I could've done better myself and not even good customer service. Moral of the story: Look into the reviews on all sites beforehand and maybe question why there are so few reviews for that salon.
