I saw the horrible reviews on Yelp for this mechanic, but I thought I'd give him a try anyway. What…read morea waste. I paid Cody $130.00 to come to my house and let me know what was wrong with my bike. He came with a helper and they showed me what needed to be fixed and what the cost would be. I agreed and they were to come back in a few days when they had the parts. I never heard from anyone again. I finally found another mechanic to take care of the bike. I'm sorry to say this, but don't bother with this one. They aren't reputable and they don't care about their customers.

A few days later, Cody called and explained that the mechanic had been sick since Saturday. He said he would try to fit me into his own schedule, and we discussed a time that would likely work for both of us. However, before ending the call, Cody asked me to modify or delete my review. I told him that once someone actually came out and looked at the bike, I would have no problem updating the review to reflect that. At that point, he accused me of "blackmailing" the company with my review. To be clear, I never brought up the review during the call--he did. I simply said I would update it once the issue was addressed. Being accused of blackmail for wanting the problem resolved before changing my review was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. My original concern was the lack of communication after the repair. Unfortunately, this interaction only made the situation worse. I can overlook mistakes and scheduling issues, but I cannot overlook poor communication and being treated disrespectfully as a customer UPDATE: After I left my original review, I was contacted almost immediately. Buyer beware. 3.6 star on Google for MX South, and 1.6 star on Yelp. Ordered a kit, MX South sent…read morethe wrong one. The directions said it would fit most CR models, so I gave the benefit of doubt and tried it. Didn't fit my model. Setup a return, they denied my return for the package was indeed opened but nowhere near use. Seller says I had oil all over the parts shipped back too him. The shims come shipped in an oily substance as too not rust. But clearly evident it would not fit my CR model. The seller called me a liar, that I was committing internet fraud, and I should ashamed of myself. I was definitely taken back by that. At best I fixed a partial refund, instead, they kept all of my $183 dollars, I have nothing too show for it, and hugely disappointed by MX South. As you will read in other reviews. I'm sure they will answer this will some more lies. Do you own research about them. I have a perfect score with Amazon and Ebay, they on the other hand you can see. I'm out completely of my money. Once again, they said the kit they sent me was not what they sent me, it the only gold valve kit I've ever purchase. A partial refund would have been fantastic. I did wrap all parts back up in individual bags before shipping back. I did tear the box.

I recently made a purchase from MX South and unfortunately, my experience was far from…read moresatisfactory. The transaction turned out to be deeply disappointing due to misleading if not deceptive practices that were employed during the process. Initially, I was drawn in by a promising product review and competitive pricing for an item, which I paid for. I subsequently received confirmation of the purchase along with a subsequent notification that the item had shipped with the expected date of delivery. After waiting for the delivery, MX South abruptly canceled my purchase and submitted a full refund about 4 days later with the explanation that it resulted from a "warehouse error." Pretty ambiguous excuse, but to the average consumer, like me, it signals some issue or discrepancy related to the availability, condition, or handling of the product on their end. Understandably, circumstances like this might delay the delivery of an item. However, these obstacles are not so insurmountable that a reputable business cannot quickly overcome them to fulfill an order. I also find it dishonest for a company to inform a customer that an item has shipped because it means that 1) the product is available, 2) it's in good condition, and 3) it was handled properly during shipping, all three of which negative the convenient "warehouse error" claim. If the product was not available and not in good condition at the time of sale then the company was intentionally misleading, if not outright dishonest, when it notified me, that the item was on its way. It also defies logic to suggest that the company recalled the item after shipping unless they are not in the habit of inspecting things before they send them out, which signals another larger problem for customers. People reading this might wonder why I'm dissatisfied when the company promptly provides me with a full refund. It comes down to the lack of honesty, transparency, and professionalism. As a customer, I value integrity and clear communication in business transactions. I urge potential customers to exercise caution when deciding whether to deal with this company. Ordinarily, I would not have posted this unfavorable review, but my experience, coupled with reading the company's highly unprofessional responses to consumer complaints drove my decision. People judge what they cannot see from that which they can see. What impressions do you form about a company that launches personal attacks against people for sharing their experience rather than providing an intelligent response?
