I've reached out to them via email a couple times and still no response after a few weeks. I was surprised by this reading all the great reviews here. I wanted to let you know about my experience with Lon's Glass…read more They installed a bathtub glass door that I had purchased from Lowe's, and from the moment the technicians arrived, the lead installer repeatedly complained that they normally don't install shower doors unless they come from their own showroom because they have to read the manufacturer's instructions. That immediately made me wonder why they accepted the job in the first place. Unfortunately, the finished installation reflects that attitude. The door functions, but the workmanship is very poor. One glass panel is visibly installed at an angle and sits much farther into the bathtub than it should, making the shower space noticeably smaller. The opposite panel is positioned differently, and the frame and guide look completely out of place. It simply doesn't look like a professional installation. The technicians told me their work was guaranteed for one year and suggested I contact the owner, Nick, if I wasn't satisfied. They even suggested replacing my brand-new shower door with one of theirs at a discount. That would mean writing off the $600 door I had already purchased, paying for another door, and paying for installation all over again after already spending about $500 on labor. I contacted Nick and asked him to come inspect the installation and bring brochures for the products they sell so we could discuss options. He scheduled appointments three separate times and cancelled every one of them at the last minute. The first time it was because of his anniversary, the second because of dinner plans with his wife, and this morning he cancelled again, saying there was no reason for him to come look at it at all. Considering he lives only a couple of minutes from my house, I found that especially disappointing. The owner finally messaged me and said I can pay $1,200 to install a window from his inventory but I found that product ugly and outdated. I emailed him and said I'm not interested. At this point, I've lost confidence in the company. Their workmanship was poor, they haven't stood behind their installation, and their warranty doesn't seem to have much value if the owner won't even inspect the work. It's impossible for me to trust them again and get messed up twice.

Arturo came out to do the measurements and discussed our window options. He was very professional, very informative about county codes, and suggestions on the different types of windows. Thanks for your patience and guidance in this process Art! Juan was onsite for installation. He was very professional and gave us daily updates, and was respectful of checking in with us while we work from home too. Also, his stucco work was superb! LIKE WOW!! I had already expected that there would be a stucco frame around the window from new stucco work but he blended everything so well it's pleasing to the eye! He even recognized some additional work that would be needed for repair that would affect the structure of the home. Thanks Luxe Concepts for a good experience.

Our experience with Luxe Concepts--including Joyce, Howard, Arturo, and Carol, whom we understand…read moreto be the owner--has been extremely disappointing. We repeatedly requested that senior management investigate a serious problem involving Luxe's installer, Jose, but instead of addressing the evidence, the company dismissed the matter and refused to accept accountability. Luxe acknowledged that Jose is employed by the company as an installer. Our contractor brought Jose to the property as his "window guy" for the specialized window work. Jose came to the house for the measurement visit, and Howard confirmed that the measurements Jose submitted were used for the order. Jose also communicated a quote that included an additional $2,500 for installation labor and materials. Howard specifically asked us to provide written proof that Jose was the intended installer and said Luxe would investigate if we produced it. We then provided written messages confirming that: * Jose was the "window guy." * Jose came to the property for the measurements. * Jose communicated the installation quote. * The additional $2,500 was specifically for installation labor and materials. Rather than investigate that evidence as Howard represented, Luxe began deflecting to other names appearing on the paperwork. That does not address the central issue: Luxe's acknowledged installer was brought to the property for the window work, was connected to the measurements used for the order, and communicated the installation price. We escalated the matter to Joyce, Howard, Arturo, and Carol and asked management to review the documented facts, explain the conflicting accounts provided by Luxe representatives, produce the original measurements and specifications, and propose a reasonable resolution. Despite involving the company's staff and ownership, no one took responsibility or meaningfully addressed the evidence. Joyce's final response was simply: "We will not provide anything at this moment since the order has been completed." Calling the order "completed" does not address improperly measured or configured windows that cannot be installed as intended. The response was dismissive, unprofessional, and demonstrated a serious lack of accountability and concern for the customer. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Luxe Concepts. Customers should obtain written confirmation identifying who is responsible for measuring, selecting the window type and configuration, submitting the order, installing the windows, and correcting any resulting errors before making payment.

I guess they say you can't get good, fast, AND cheap at one time- you can only ever get two out of…read morethe three; well Wooden Works is the exception that proves the rule !!! Wife and I got a Victorian we absolutely Love last year, but the windows were one of the few less than ideal situations in our new home. When the setting sun hit the living room at days end we would avoid being in there because it would stew pretty hot, and in the cool of the morning we had to have our hoodies on as that same room was frigid-basically the weather outside was what it felt like inside. Our preexisting windows were all some janky aluminum jobies from some long time ago. We found Wooden Works just searching our area for a windows shop, and let me tell you- we wound up getting 10 exceptionally crafted new wooden windows installed and now the entire house has its own temperature- we got really really good, really fast, and for what we got the price was much better than decent- a great deal... They worked with us through the entire process and with their input we chose to get hoppers that open at the top, screens on every window, and security glass where they are accessible from stairs. We got Cadillac service at Mazda price, and they cheerfully spent time and energy guiding us. Our new windows were hand built in their little shop in West Oakland where they invited us to view their progress every few weeks, and let me tell you we opted for a natural finish with stain, and our windows look like milk chocolate or espresso- deep lustrous brown that seems to keep going at second glance. Each of our windows is double paned with argon gas layer to maintain environment temperature, and with a few exceptions we were able to have our windows built with hoppers at the top which we can open to let air in and cool things down as needs be. These guys were very timely and each stage of the build was completed well before their stated timeline. Everyone we dealt with in the office were friendly, pleasant, and attentive to our issues and concerns. At no time did we ever feel "Handled;" they seemed genuinely happy getting us what we wanted and needed. As they were working several other bids we requested came in and they were all hundreds over what WW charged us. For what we paid we got GREAT value, and the icing on the cake is that everyone involved was so personable we would've happily paid more and been grateful... I highly recommend Wooden Works for quality of craft, professionalism, and ease of transaction- these people are just kick-ass \!!/ The McElro
