These guys are AMAZING! I can't recommend them strongly enough. Having been burned before by folks who make a good first impression then drop the ball completely (see my last review), I waited to write this until Hakim and his brother had completed 5 jobs: replacement of 3 massive single-pane picture window panes with tempered glass (in some cases 92" inches wide); replacement of a wall-length bathroom vanity mirror (which another contractor had destroyed by using the wrong kind of adhesive); and replacement of a large picture window whose frame had rotted. In each case, Hakim and his brother did exceptional work, showed up on time, worked efficiently, were super friendly, and cleaned up beautifully, leaving no mess. I can't think of a time I've been more excited to work with a contractor, and as a 24-year homeowner, I've worked with quite a few at this point. This is a family run business - just Hakim and one of his brothers. They don't have office staff to handle communications and bidding in the polished, public-facing way that some businesses might, but the work is OUTSTANDING and the absence of that staff translates into savings - their PRICES are MUCH BETTER than the other companies we called. Wow, given all the 5-star reviews, I am shocked to say that these guys lied to our faces and are completely unreliable and untrustworthy. The bottom line is they do not respect their clients. Do yourself a favor and look for another glass installer. You will save yourself that sick feeling you get when using an unsavory contractor. If you are interested in more details, read on: We first contacted Hakim who seemed friendly and eager to help. We sent two emails and called him twice after that but never received a response. Foolishly, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and contacted them again. This time we connected with Salim who agreed to meet. He came to our home. We had a very nice meeting, and all seemed good. As he was leaving, he said he would provide a quote in a day or so. He also asked if we were willing to wait 4 weeks until his crew returned from vacation. We said fine and thought all was on track. We thanked him profusely. No quote was forthcoming. I had to text him 3 times over a period of 2 weeks before he texted a rudimentary quote - no details, just a dollar figure. Three weeks go by and no further communication. The week before they were scheduled to do the work, I texted a note gently asking for a more formal agreement and a date certain to start the job. I texted again the next day, asking if they had received my previous email. Salim eventually responded that he would send me a contract in a day or so. He didn't. Finally, on the Friday before the project was to begin, I texted once more asking for an agreement and a date. When there was no response, I then called Salim. He said he would get back to me by the end of that business day. He blew me off. In sum, not once did these guys keep their word about anything they said they would do. They wasted 6 weeks of our time and energy. I sincerely hope our tale of misery saves you from a similar fate. read more
