I needed to get the glass replaced in a broken Marvin French casement that no longer is made by Marvin and, it turns out, was made as a non-reglazable window. Very difficult problem. Spent three months trying to find a solution to avoid having to tear up the stucco to remove and replace the entire sash. Finally got connected with Gabriel, who did a brilliant job. He figured out how to take it apart, replace the glass, and put it back together again so you can't tell. Everyone else said it couldn't be done. Such a high-quality, professional. The last big wind storm broke my window so there was a big hole with wind and rain pouring into my bedroom. My LL placed an order for some glass company to fix it, but I never heard from anyone. I called the LL today, and he said he'd find another company which turned out to be Arrow Glass. The estimator was here at 8:45am and took measurements. Unfortunately, he said because of the holidays, they were only open half day, had no workers available, and were closed for the following 2 weeks. However, since he knew another storm would arrive tomorrow, he'd see what he could do. He called his office from my house and they said they'd work on it. Within an hour, I had assurances they would come and fix my window today. They came and did a great job. That type of service is exemplary. They bent over backward to see that I stayed dry. I've used Arrow Glass a couple of times to replace windows at my bakery. The building is old and the windows are not in the best of shape, and the repair person from Arrow took the time to really do it right without damaging the frame. Recently, the large pane of glass in our front door was broken through random vandalism, and the person from Arrow did a great job of preserving the custom wood stops on this expensive door. They also did an awesome job of protecting the floor and surrounding area during the repair and cleaning up the space afterward. We called Arrow when the glass in our kitchen cabinet door shattered. They 1) gave a quote over the phone; 2) identified that the glass was not regular glass but Starphire (which has a different tone) and confirmed the higher cost before ordering it; 3) repaired the glass and put the door back together as if it were as good as new; 4) were communicative and clear over the phone. I called for a repair for a sliding glass door lock repair or replacement. A technician came out promptly but said it could not be repaired and said that I would need a whole new door costing $6500. I called back to see if he would come out again to collaborate with my husband. I wanted Arrow Glass to do the repair since it is their area of expertise and my husband is busy. They refused to come take a second look insisting it could not be fixed. So my husband had it fixed in less than half an hour with no material cost. He assured me that it would last another 20 years. He used a screwdriver to adjust the height, and a Dremel to thin out the lock tab so that it fit fully into the internal lock. I contacted Arrow Glass, as the first glass vendor I contacted was not being response. I was encouraged after talking with Denise on the phone. She was very welcoming and responsive. As she requested, I sent photos/measurements of the glass I needed replaced. She asked where the job was located in an email response and I emailed back 'Oakland'. I never received a follow up response from Arrow Glass/Denise. I emailed again and asked if the job was too small for them. I could understand if that was the case. No response and have not heard from them since. Glad I found someone else who was much more responsive and got the job done!!! read more

He has repaired glass at ground level and on the second story - both standing on a roof and working on a ladder. Today he replaced three panes in our living room with tempered glass. Punctual. Professional. Dedicated. Foxy. I had my fingers crossed they'd send over two lovely athletic women to replace my broken window. The guy I actually got had an impressive scar on his arm and did great work on the window which was a 7.3 on the difficulty chart. For someone out there, he is foxy, so my ruling stands. They get busy. Expect to get on a waiting list. It's worth waiting. He was careful about breaking out the cracked pane. Mindful of the nice oak floors. Cleaned up the mess inside and out. We talked about glass thickness and he didn't mind at all going back to the shop for a heavier grade plate. Somehow he carried 30 pound 4 foot square sheet of glass and slid it in place single-handedly. Then it was my turn to hold the vacu-suck handle to keep the pane from popping out while he ran outside and climbed two stories to put in the glazing compound. It's pretty g*dm stressful holding on to a huge sheet of glass with just a suction cup when a man's life hangs in the balance. He gave me good instructions though. "When the little button starts to go red, pump the vacuum back up or the window will pop out. Don't let go, but don't pull too hard." Hehehehehehheheheheheheheheh. Window came out great. He even wiped off his fingerprints after. BEAUTIFUL. read more

Mike came out to fix a dual plane glass that was hazy from moisture. It had been that way for YEARS. Finally decided to have it fixed. Exchanged phone calls and texts. He came out to take a look. Gave me a fair quote. Made an appointment to come out and fix at a later date. He was friendly, professional, and on time. Fixed it good as new. Also wore mask for Covid precautions which I appreciated. This is the second time Mike came out to my house to fix a window glass. First time he fixed a single plane glass broken during a burglary. I have exterior Marvin french doors which recently would no longer lock. Obviously, this was a problem. Since the doors were no longer under warranty, the local Marvin dealer wouldn't repair them. So I called Arrow Glass. Jim came out and within 20 minutes he had the doors working; he also taught me how to make fix the problem if it returns in the future when the rains (hopefully) return and the doors swell. My apartment had a window with a cracked window pane (16" x 23"). The glass was insulated and tempered, similar to the glass in the windshield of a car. I was under some time constraints, but I called them and they were able to send a person to take measurements within a day which I very much appreciated. The person came, took the measurements, and the office called back with an estimate. The estimate seemed reasonable based on what my neighbors had paid for glass repairs, so I gave them the go-ahead. We also scheduled a day to do the replacement. They came, did the replacement within 15 minutes, and left the window looked brand new. We tried to get a shower door from 3 different vendors. Non of them seemed to provide a good solution and only suggested weird fixes to our problem. I stopped in here randomly today to get a piece of 16X20 glass to replace a broken picture frame. The glass was only $7.62 and it took them about 5-10 minutes to cut it on the spot. They accepted credit card, were friendly, and packaged up the glass in white paper. Easy, fast, and just what I needed. Also, I gave UC Glass a call just before spotting this place and they couldn't help me for two days (the next time they had somebody in to cut glass) and over the phone he quoted me around $13. Also nice, but this place won for both price and availability. The frame looks great and is already back hanging on my walls. Next time I invariably break a photo frame, I'll be back!
