I came by for an emergency adjustment and they turned me away, was told to make an appointment, I have one in 2 more weeks, I just wanted an adjustment. Do your research before you come here. Needed new pair of dentures since the current ones are way old, and have begun hurting mouth. I'm simply amazed by every single employee at this location! Ms Lacy (the hygienist) is an absolute 5 Employee/Person. I've yet to come across any healthcare professional that's #1 Beautiful, #2 Professional, and #3 Professional, as much as her!!! The laughter, and pleasantness, that she displayed is unmatched. I can't write enough just how remarkable she made this visit. But, my great experience didn't stop at Ms Lacy. My doctor was sincere and professional when "fitting" my mouth with new dentures. The Receptionist who takes Final Payment was also great. Very friendly and well informed. What elevated my visit was seeing the care given to other patients. As My Wife&I left I noticed a patient being wheeled out in a wheelchair from a procedure. While we felt what we got was a good value, we wanted to mention a couple of things. We have been to this practice several times either getting a partial made, repairing a partial, or replacing a partial. We have always been satisfied with the quality. This time, it was time to have a couple of teeth extracted, and a larger partial made. They had an intern do the extractions, and he was really rough with the needle. My teeth came out easily, but the guy in the next room yelled when he got shot with the needle and seemed to be in agony when they pulled the teeth. He did all the extractions really quickly. When we left, no instructions were given for your care! No gauze, no meds for pain were even suggested, and no advice like...no very hot or very cold liquids for 24 hours, or no drinking with a straw! I always considered that basic! And last, the chairs in the waiting room are filthy. At least 50% of the chairs look like someone peed on them. They are all stained. Would we return? Yes. I just hope someone see this post so they can address these issues. read more

The staff of dental assistants are rude & behave as if it's a factory (So many eyerolls from them) and you never see the dentist unless you require more technical advice. They do everything to try to keep from having to re-mold/re-make the immediate set including offering a refund and lying about. The office manager is also rude and tried to argue about what services I already received. Refund takes 4-6 weeks in a check. read more

I have called and requested a copy of my claim on four different occasions . Every time that I have called they reassured me that they would mail that out to me. Would give zero stars if that were an option. I had gone there as a self pay client to get an opinion on having an upper denture. I expressed my desire to be sedated for the complicated extractions due to the fact that the teeth were broken at the gum line. Apparently this was an affront to her personally, because she got very annoyed. The "dentist" insisted on my having xrays done for $85 because I needed them for the referral. I went along with that because I have an abnormal fear of Dentistry and assumed she knew what she was talking about. I was in the car on my way home before it dawned on me, I don't NEED a referral as a self paying individual. I can see anybody I want to since I'm paying! I took my "xrays" to the oral surgeon and they agreed with me, it looked like something I drew myself on my kids' etch a sketch. Clearly, the xrays were crap and needed to be redone, so they were kind enough to retake them at no charge. Avoid this place like the plague!! Tell your friends, not your enemies! Needless to say I found another dentist to perform the entire procedure from start to finish and it was worth every penny. read more

I went on 9/10 /18 and purchased their premium partial and full denture they are terrible. They are horrible . Do not waste your money and they won't refund you or make new ones unless you pay for new ones. Don't care about patients just getting your money. read more

Terrible place. Had to go back several times because the denture they made tore up my gum. This is after I filed the rough spots off the denture myself at home. They said they could not adjust it anymore and would not make one that fit properly. Now they are even lying about that. Most of the people I talked to while waiting forever also were having problems with their painful dentures made there. Go to a quality dentist even if the cost is a little more, you will save time and pain in the long run. This place doesn't take appointments so expect to waste a day. read more

Can I post a negative 10? I brought my elderly neighbor who was told to be at Affordable Dentures before 7:30. We arrived at 7:20, waited in the breezy cold for thirty minutes with about 25 others ahead of him in line. We (he, myself, and his wife) waited, waited, and waited. Each time we asked for an estimate of the length of our wait, we were told "Bear with us just a second. We are short staffed today." It was 4:45 when my neighbor was finally called back. My complaint is not as much about the wait but about the perpetual lie--"just a second" and "it wont be long now!" When pressed for an honest estimate of the wait, we were told "There's no way to know. We are short staffed." Why were we not told BEFORE they took his money that they were short staffed and give us the option of waiting or returning, rather than waiting until we were frustrated from waiting for hours? And really can't they give any kind of simple estimate of wait time, for example: "I'm sorry, but it may take us a couple of hours to get to you. I'll keep you posted if you choose to wait"? And why aren't patients told of the procedure at check-in, if not before? "Hi Mr. Patient, I just want to make sure you know our procedure. We will take an impression of your mouth early this morning. Then you should return to the office later (preferably TOMORROW) for your extractions and fitting your plate, instead of dishonestly presenting the idea of the work being done first and then "returning to check on it", which is what my neighbors presented? If this many lies were told to me, how many were told to you? I cannot address the quality of work as my neighbor is currently having his teeth extracted and it is 5:36, more than 10 hours for what they expected to be 3 hours. Again it's not the wait--- it's the DIShonesty and DISrespect during the wait, which apparently began from the beginning. As I'm posting, I'm concerned about missed meds and other engagements. Who knew that when taking my neighbor to have four teeth extracted, I needed to come prepared with meds for everyone and pillows and blankets for his wife, and needed arise early AND clear my evening schedule as well? Looking at other posts and other locations, this seems to be a systemic problem. PS. We departed at 6:03 pm. That makes eleven and a half hours (7:00 - 6:30 includes 30 minutes travel in each direction) to take my neighbor to the dentist and being told at least 6 times "Give us just a second"! I wonder if I could say "Wait a second" for eleven and a half months before paying Affordable Dentures? How long would "'I have no idea how long it will take' before I can get you your money" or "we are short of cash" be acceptable? read more

My dad has had the same set of dentures for 30+ years. We came here because he didn't want to drive to SC where he got them the first time. The first day my sister brought him and they sat for over 4 hours and only accomplished the making of his mold. Then they wanted him to come back 2 1/2 hours later to try them on. Her schedule wouldn't allow. Two days later I brought him back and they told us to be here in a 1 hour time frame for fitting, we were here before the beginning of that hour and sat until the beginning of the next hour. We were told to come back 2 1/2 hours later to fit real dentures. We did and that was quicker, only because they were about to close I believe. I'm sitting in here now on what is our 4th trip for adjustments (6th trip to the office) They always say be here between 10-11 for adjustment and NEVER call you back until after 11, today it was 12:15, the workers are friendly but you may as well bring a pillow and blanket because you are going to stay the entire day every time you come here! I told my dad they need recliners and a buzzer like your at Applebee's so when it's your turn you can wake up!! read more

Terrible customer service. Was told they could do procedures only to drive 2 hours and be told "we are not equipped to do this". This being extractions and dentures, what they do! Dentist came in for all of 45 seconds and didn't even assess my husbands mouth before deciding he didn't feel like doing it. This is long,but I writting this to hopefully save someone else from going through this,self pay people are at the mercy of blood sucking dentist.Well,I carefully compared several NC Affordable Dentures,I read reviews from many sources.The one near me is pretty bad,went many years ago and the currant reviews are down right scary,couple with a serious fear of dentist,did not want to put myself through that again. Soooo the search was on,after being quoted 632.00$??? at DentalWorks!! Who the he'll can afford that out of pocket,so after reading the reviews for this location I called asked questions,asked what I needed to bring along with time to be there.Then I read website to make sure everything was a go.Had x-rays sent over along with bringing a copy myself incase something went wrong.Website&Receptionist both confirmed needing to arrive by 7:30am.Okay,I cancelled one of my accounts (means I lost money),woke up at 4:30am then drove hour n half to A.D. Apex Highway Location.Stood in line,filled out forms,handed over X-Rays,took a seat.After watching people come in at 10 am be seen before me,denture customers get teeth pulled come back sit down in lobby again,then be called back for fittings or whatever of course started to get anxious.I just needed one extraction.There was a very loud girl there who had to have one tooth pulled as well.At the four hour mark,she asked them what was going on.Receptionist tells her denture people should all be done being treated by 3pm.So she may or may not be treated sooner.What?????Been waiting 4hours,drove almost two to get there with less then 5 hours sleep to make sure I'd be on time and it's going to be another 4hour wait??? and then that's not guaranteed.So I asked receptionist if this was the case,told her my issue,she just looked at me blankly"yep"..This information is no where on website,I told her on phone what I needed asked if there was anything I needed to know.She even said for treatments had to be there at 7:30am.NO WHERE DOES IT STATE JUST EXTRACTIONS WILL BE DONE AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE.The whole ordeal was just inexcusable.I got my x-rays and left,I am now sitting with a abscessed tooth waiting to make an appointment on Monday at one of them blood sucking offices,got small loan because the price of extractions is inexcusable too.You know what though,I Will expect it,I will also be treated better,will not automatically assume I have no other options but them so they can treat me however an if they mess up oh well.How would these ppl like to be treated this way,this issue may sound insufficient but the fact is I lost a day of my personal time along with a days work and still need to see a dentist because of thier mistake not mine. Horrible place, horrible people. I took my mother to this place armed with her x-rays from the dentist who referred us. We got there at 7:15 because the place opened at 7:30, registered at the front desk, and they explained that they didn't always work on a first come first serve basis and that it depended on what the procedure was to keep things streamlined. Fine. We sat down to wait and after 4 hours, when we didn't even get a preliminary exam, my mother, (she is 89), who was anxious about having to get 6 teeth extracted began to cry. We waited another hour and were finally called in. We were the very last even though we were one of the first to arrive. The dentist spent 5 minutes looking at her x-rays and then informed us that he couldn't do the work because they didn't have the proper equipment. Seems if we had been given a preliminary exam on a first come first basis this could have been avoided. Nobody at the front dest even seemed sad or curious as to why an old lady was crying as I was leading her out. One receptionist was even smirking. read more
