HORRIBLE customer service!!!! Buyer beware. Ordered a product 3.29.25 w/white glove delivery service. Their carrier did not deliver within the promised timeframe. We requested to cancel multiple times and they promised more than once to have a supervisor call me - which still hasn't happened. Their employees are rude, argumentative, unprofessional and uncaring. After I filed a payment dispute, Their delivery company - AM TRUCKING - was also told not to deliver it as we are no longer accepting it. Their manager-Daniel- stated that he understood and it would not be delivered.They then gave no notice on a 225 lb item and illegally dumped it on my lawn. Not porch or walkway, but on our grass. Now (still no communication from the management because Erica is not in the office very often) they want $530 to ship it back and another $132 restocking. Never buy anything from these crooks. I purchased a bookcase from them and received an email that it would ship "in 3-4 days". After 10 days no response I called them and cancelled the order. John yelled at me that I could not cancel as it had shipped. I had no delivery scheduled. I demanded they cancel the order. I informed Visa of the cancellation and filed a complaint for refund of my over $500. Suddenly on July 14th I received a delivery schedule from Metropolitan Warehouse. I called the warehouse and informed them the order was cancelled and DO NO DELIVER ANYTHING TO MY HOUSE ! The warehouse agreed. On July 19th Metropolitan Warehouse left the bookcase at my front door with now prior notice. I called them immediately and came back a picked it up. Again I contacted AFA and Visa to remind them the order was cancelled. Visa informed me that no refund had been made. Meanwhile I received an email from AFA stating they would withhold ove $200. for restock fee. So how do you restock something that has never been pulled from inventory? What a bunch of scam artists ! I wish I would have ordered the item from Wayfair for slightly more. Received an email in 6/24 saying the item was being shipped. I still have not received the product and apparently, "they did not allow the shipping company in on that day to pick it up." I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing from the store and I will never do it again. I purchased a mirror from this merchant. They the delivering to AM Home Deliver (the most unethical delivery company I've ever experienced). Their affiliate delivery service committed a class C misdemeanor on my property by illegally dumping large particles of debris all over my yard, and that of my neighbors. I filed a complaint delivery company, a police report AND filed complaint with code complance. Again, AFA stores contract is with AM Deliver. I found a complaint with a AFA Stores and requested a refund of my $50 delivery fee. I even sent them pictures and videos of their contracters illegal and unethical practic. AFA refused and basically stated it wasn't their problem and to take it up with the delivery company. I was speechless. I wish I would've read the reviews before I made a purchase with this company and I am tempted to return the merchandise. They botched my order, gave me the runaround on replacing damaged items, and when I got tired of the song and dance and cancelled, they threatened me with outlandish fees and other charges if I did not accept their terms. Purchased an expensive item. Delivery was a lamp. Purchase was a wooden hand curved cabinet. It took weeks for them to continue looking for a replacement cabinet. I got tired of waiting and canceled. Once they found a replacement, they tried to deliver and failed on two occasions. They failed because the order was canceled. The third delivery they left the item on my front porch. Unfortunately, I was not home, but the driver told me that AFA told him to drop it on the front porch and leave it. It sat there for over a week in the rain until they could send someone to bring it inside my house as I had paid $100 extra for white glove delivery. I had to do that because I'm 77 years old. They knew that and they still dropped it at my doorstep. They have absolutely no concern for their customer. I am appalled at their behavior and will never shop there again. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered my furniture on line November 25th and I still don't have it. Their customer service is HORRIFIC! I read the online shipping policy and understood it could take a few weeks to reach the shipping distribution center. On December 26th I received a n email from AM Trucking letting me know they had my order and that they would be contacting me in a couple of days to arrange delivery. On December 27th I received a phone call telling me the same thing. I have yet to receive that call to arrange delivery. I have called them multiple times. 1/2- Told my order was tentatively scheduled for delivery 1/5. 1/4- Told my delivery would not be delivered on 1/5 and was now tentatively scheduled for 1/11 because that's when they would be delivering in my area. 1/10- Told my order was not going to be delivered on 1/10 and was now tentatively scheduled for 1/15 because that's when they would be delivering in my area. I have called and emailed customer service multiple times and just get the run around. Mary, via email , has suggested a couple of times I call the trucking company myself. Have been told multiple times when calling your customer service that the trucking company will deliver as soon as they can. We were at Mathis Bros. Bc the chair we were to have receive after a 6 week wait had now gone into. Aperware territory. We found another chair my wife liked but it was $1400 more than the chair that didn't exist. So while there I looked up the $2,000 Hooker chair on the web. AFA stores was selling a brand new discontinued version of that chair for $815. Free delivery. So I bought it on line. The chair drop ships from Hooker. The chair arrived in the time frame. Ok to return within 30 day period and was told there was an EXORBITANT fee of $615 ($123 to restock plus $492 to ship back). I ordered a dresser, chest, and two nightstands. Both the dresser and chest had damages. Some of which you can tell happened before it was even boxed like the stain on the chest I refused the order but failed to take pictures. They contacted me and said the workers at their warehouse said nothing was wrong and they sent the same furniture back. This time I took pictures and emailed them. Even both sets of delivery people said they wouldn't accept it. They said they would only refund the chest, and charge me a 10% restock fee for the dresser and nightstands. While there was nothing wrong with the nightstands, why would I keep them if I don't have the other two pieces? Like use some common sense. I should have listened to the complaints about AFA !! I ordered a side table. They say it will be shipped in 3-4 business days. 7 days later it was not shipped & wouldn't be picked up for a few days later by the carrier. I tried to cancel & receive a credit!!! I ordered tables that did not look distressed in the online photos, nor was distressing mentioned in the product description. The were delivered looking completely damaged and the company claims that is how the tables are supposed to look The biggest scam is their restocking fee and exorbitant shipping fee (almost $100). Service was fine until I paid. Selection was okay and everything looked very nice. So I ordered a $1,000 recliner. Not only did it take a month and a half to get. The massage switch with three settings only worked on two settings. The Rocker creeks Beyond anything I've ever heard. One button on the chair back was missing. The other button was hanging on a string out of the chair. I sent them pictures as they requested and explained my dilemma. Got the runaround with the same generated email over and over again. Very disappointed in the quality of furniture that I received. Finally got fed up enough where I told them I didn't even want my money back just come and get the recliner. I have to laugh because I got the same generated email, that they were sorry for any inconvenience? My butt! I never complain on anything that I buy or get or receive. This is my first negative review on anything. I'm just tired of being ripped off all the time anymore. Please beware of buying anything from these people. Hands down WORST customer service EVER. I placed order October 8. A few days later I was told it shipped and it would take 5-7 days to get to the local distribution center. EIGHTEEN days later it arrives there. I receive a phone call, email and a text giving me a delivery window for 2 days later. I took off work and waited. When they didn't show I called and was told "you're not scheduled for today". Well, you texted, emailed AND called me. No acknowlegment. No apology. I called AFA and got nowhere. I emailed. They responded simply that they don't know the delivery company schedule. Really? I don't care..I'm paying you. I emailed back to cancel and refund. They IGNORED ME. Two weeks later I get a text, email and call and they did deliver the furniture. We purchased a set of bookcases from AFA Stores. The website detailed that the product was wood and hardwood veneers. It even speaks to the hand finish done to enhance the wood grain and the color "Toffee." When the product arrived the color was a very light brown, no where near what was shown on their site. In addition all of the trim, shelves and shown areas were a composite and NOT WOOD. AFA Stores refuses to do anything about it and I wish I had done more research about this horrible company. The only positive spot was that the furniture arrived as advertised and undamaged. I will say that Customer Service attempted to help with what limited resources they have. My order arrived in Tampa on the 25th of April. As of the 3rd of May no plans had been made for delivery. Only one customer service person told me the truth. The third party company in Tampa (AM Logistics or possibly White Glove Delivery) is waiting to have more than your shipment to travel to Ocala (90 minutes away) claiming they have emailed the warehouse scheduler and he would get back to me ASAP to which he never did. After many phone calls, I drove to Tampa and picked up my furniture and drove it home. I would not purchase from AFA again. read more

Terrible online return policy. I received a damaged item, after waiting for weeks for it on back order. I followed the usual procedure...submitted photos within 24 hours. I was told I could receive a free replacement except I did not want a replacement due to the long wait time in receiving my original purchase. After fighting for 3 weeks via email AFA stores refunded 50% of the purchase and told me the remaining 50% was to cover return shipping and a restocking fee BUT I was instructed to dispose of the item myself. It is absolutely ridiculous that I need to pay 50% of this damaged item and dispose of it myself. read more

Purchased a rug that was defective from AFA Stores and they made it as difficult as possible to return the rug and tried charging me a 10% restocking fee and almost $500 to ship it back. I had to dispute the charge and contact the Rug manufacturer Loloi to get them involved due to the lack of responsiveness and service from AFA Stores. After finally getting a return authorization almost a month later, I returned/shipped the Rug back to manufacturer and they continued to give excuses on why the full refund had not been done. Placed order on 12/2/2024. Called on 12/6/2024 to get delivery estimate and was informed by "Sherry" that the order would not even process until the following week and then it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. I asked, hypothetically, IF I could find a sooner delivery from another vendor and wanted to cancel the order, would I receive a full refund? Sherry said yes, up until the order processed. My last statement to Sherry was that I would look around for other options and IF necessary, would call back to try and cancel the order. On 12/16/2024, I received an email that the order was canceled. I called and, after getting routed to a barely english speaking person in the Philippines, got a call back from Sherry. I reiterated that I never canceled the order and did not respond to what I thought were marketing messages because without my express direction, surely they would not cancel the order. Which is exactly what they did. Sherry expressed total indifference to the situation, was not the least bit concerned about losing the sale, nor about getting another in a long line of bad reviews. I would not do business with this company. In my experience they do not appear to be upfront, honest, or clear in their communication. If I could leave no stars I would. Company is as deceptive as they come. Ordered a sofa table as a housewarming gift. It came without any quality control. The travertine top was cracked. Only 4 of the 12 pre drilled holes were drilled. I purchased because their web site had a 30 day return policy. But apparently my purchase didn't qualify for that.
