My first order of the Picket Fence Entertainment Center in a Grey finish was ordered on October 14, 2024. The box had a huge hole in it and two drawer knobs were completely broken off plus the end of the entertainment center was broken off. I emailed and contacted the company. They wouldn't refund my money. They sent me another entertainment center. It also came damaged with a drawer knob broken off and the ends of the entertainment center were broken off as well. The shipping company dropped both, I believe. I glued the ends and transferred a knob. I will never order from this company again! read more

I was so Happy to find my tv console on their website that I purchased it right away on 11-15-24 it's 12-10-24 and I still have no shipping update... no delivery. customer service lies to you when you call them and tell you they will call you back with in hour and no one calls you back! Their website says they deliver for free and use UPS. I live in the eighth largest metropolitan area in the state. I get UPS which they claim to use, yet several weeks after my order they emailed me to say they don't deliver here. I emailed back with questions and they didn't reply. Run don't walk in the opposite direction from this store. Ordered 2 lamps about $200 each. Their return policy states 10% restocking fee plus buyer pays return shipping. Called to get authorization for return and they said my return amount would be 171.20 in total. That's less than half of my money spent. I made rep repeat it 4 times and she stood by what she said. Wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor or a billing rep. Supervisor supposed to call me back but never did. Just disputed with charge company, next BBB. Some pretty nasty reviews about them here. To return an item, they charge you 50% of what you paid. They make you aware of the is 10% restock fee, but the unknown is the shipping which turns out to be outrageous. It will cost me $836 to return item I purchase for $1,680. read more

I paid extra for the furniture to be delivered and installed. Delivery is terrible. I now have to paint walls because they were not careful. The delivery fee does not include taking away the boxes and packing materials. I called AFA's Customer Service, and the representative was rude and not helpful. Their own advertised sales price and it's literally printed on their website "price match guarantee", all bullshit. I reached out several times and now of course we are over 10 days. very very shady company! I emailed them because their website says they will be any competitors price. If it's the same item, style, shipping etc.... Dallas designer furniture had a set $500 cheaper. I asked them about their price guarantee and they said they they offered free shipping and points so they wouldn't honor it. Dallas designer also offered free shipping, the points is dI ridiculous as they will say that about ALL price matches (can't do it we offer points!). So their price guarantee is pretty much a complete sham. If you cannot trust a company to do something as small as live up to their advertised price guarantee, who knows what else they'll be shady in. read more

Beware! This company doesn't accept returns without original packaging. They say it's because they drop ship from the manufacturer. I've ordered numerous things from merchants that have drop shipped from manufacturers, and never had a problem and never needed the original packaging. We ordered a love seat before Christmas and the website said it would ship in 3 to 4 days. I thought because of the holiday, that was why my order wasn't shipping. I decided to be patient and wait until after the first of the year when the holiday hubbub was over. I began to correspond with somebody by email that gave me stupid answers about where my furniture was. Finally, I got a delivery date of January the 30th between 3:30 and 6:30 p m. I spoke to someone about 1 o'clock on the 30th that said the driver was on the twelfth stop and I was the fourteenth stop of the day. So I sat and waited, thinking there was the potential that my item would arrive before 3:30. At 5 PM I got a phone call that the truck was broke down an hour and a half from my house and that the delivery would not take place that day. The next day I received an email that said my love seat would arrive the week of February 10th. I contacted them back and told them that the week on February 10 wouldn't work. I also told him that this was ridiculous that I ordered the furniture before Christmas and now it was gonna be near Valentine's day before I got it? No one answered the email. So the following day, I made a phone call and was told that they could get the furniture delivered the week of February 3rd. I told them February 3rd didn't work for me as I have multiple doctor's appointments that day. Finally, after much frustration, they said they would deliver the item February 4th. I decided to do this review because I'm very frustrated with the lack of customer service. On this site, I did find that this place is not very reputable, only has one and a half stars and has a lot of problems. We ordered and L Shaped desk in September. When it was to be delivered at the end of October, we were told by the trucking company AM Trucking of a 4 hour window in which they were going to deliver no flexibility or way to work with us at all on the delivery. The delivery location is a 3 hour round trip at a vacation home and required me to take a half day off work. I showed up and they delivered the desk. Half of the desk was badly damaged and I refused delivery. The trucking company left the undamaged half of the desk at the house and despite the white glove delivery we paid for they left all of the trash for both the portions of the desk which we paid to get rid of. AFA furniture contacted us several days later to say they would order a replacement section to the damaged portion of the desk. We patiently waited and in November I took another half day off and half of a tank of gas to receive the portion of the desk with no flexibility on the delivery date or time. When it showed up it wasn't even the same model of the desk. Entirely different color and hardware. At this point I notified AFA to refund our money and pick up the remaining portion of the desk at our convenience this time. After 5 days of no response from AFA we finally were able to engage in a discussion with them at which point they agreed to process the refund. A little over a week went by and we did not see a refund and we reached out again only to five days for a response where they said it had been processed. It still did not go through and we reached out again to be told that they did not process the refund and will not until they pick up the remaining portion of the desk. We told them as we had several times that we will be happy to be there for them to pick up the desk but they need to call us and ask us what is convenient for pick up. Two weeks go by and we get a no reply email from AM Truck on 12/26 that they are picking up both portions of the desk (note we refused delivery of the second portion both times) on 12/30. It was the holidays and we did not confirm delivery as we were unable to meet their demand for a time and date. We immediately reached out to AFA on 12/26 that we were not available and the description of the pick-up is wrong it is only one item. We also told them we would be at the house on 1/17 and they could pick it up then without incurring potential court and back charges for our time and gas because of their errors. On 12/30 AM Trucking reached out to tell us that they were coming up to pick up the item and we told them we were not there and to pick it up on 1/17 they noted it and said OK. On 1/2 we finally heard back from AFA 5 days after our email that they will correct the pickup paperwork but no acknowledgment of working with us on a date and time for pick up. We responded again telling them that someone from either AFA or AM trucking will need to call us ahead of time to work out a schedule that works for us or they can meet us in court for the expenses we have incurred. Again, no response from AFA on this matter and on 1/9 we received and automated No Reply email that AM Trucking will be there on 1/13 for pick up. Again, I am unavailable to take the afternoon off and even if I did it would be at the cost to AFA. I run an engineering business and short notice and no coordination will not work. This has been explained to AFA many times. Once again, we responded to AFA with no response as usual. We have asked multiple times that AFA or the trucking company call to schedule the pick up at our convenience this time since I am already out 8 hours of work at $150/hour plus a tank of gas because they cannot get it right. All we have asked is a phone call and coordination for the pick-up. They are 100% at fault with not providing the desk as ordered and we gave them multiple opportunities to do so. We have since paid more for a similar desk from a company who has been much more responsive and helpful. read more

We ordered a kitchen island, barn door style back in August. Initially we were told it was on back order and it would be available towards the end of September. However the delivery date kept being moved out further and further. Meanwhile we moved and we changed our delivery address with them but each time they would not save the new address. Finally at the beginning of November they set up for delivery and we had to go back and forth with them delivering to the correct address, which we finally received. That day I looked over the product and saw that it was damaged in delivery. It took all the way until February 2025 to get this worked out with them. Each time you email them they have a policy of 3-5 days to respond, even if you reply to their email within 10 minutes, still you have to wait now for another 3-5 days, (each time). Instead of stating all the things they need up top to remedy the matter they sent things one piece at a time as to what was needed to provide proof that it was damaged and that we were in our right window to get it replaced or compensated. Then after a month of poor correspondence they said they now had to wait for the 'manufacturer' to respond and they were in Mexico. So that took two MORE months to iron out. We finally got it finalized at the beginning of February even though it was ordered in August, received delivery in November, within 24 hours we contacted them right away and did everything we were supposed to do to get this rectified. The product we like but their customer service and policies are not good or reasonable at all. Be prepared for a LONG battle back and forth if you order something that doesn't match what you wanted. read more

I purchased a bed from AFA stores. After purchasing it, I started to get worried because I noticed a lot of bad reviews for AFA stores. But I had the thought that most people with a good experience probably won't think to leave a good review- so here I am!! This bed was $1000 cheaper than from other stores and is absolutely gorgeous. Stay away from this company--they're absolutely TERRIBLE! It took over two months of waiting for my bedframe, only to receive it broken not once, but twice. The delivery truck broke down on the third attempt, and then on the fourth try, I finally get an intact bedframe. Throughout this ordeal, I had to take time off work for each delivery attempt resulted in significant lost wages, adding to the overall inconvenience and dissatisfaction. giving one star because 0 isn't an option. we ordered a bar cart and after numerous delays in shipping, we ended up missing the delivery. we had friend accept the delivery for us and when we returned, we opened the package. the external packaging was in good condition, however, the bar itself had 3 large cracks in the wood, was missing a screw completely, and had a broken screw. We contacted AFA Customer Support for assistance and they told us there is nothing they can do because we didn't notify them of the damage within 48 hours. read more

Please be aware of this merchant! After ordering a dining room set online and paying extra for white-glove service for assembly, this situation was the most frustrating, unprofessional, and challenging experience I've had with a retailer. The third-party delivery company, AMA Trucks, sent two limited-speaking workers to assemble my set. Not only did they "unpack" the parts in my driveway, but they didn't wear footies in my home, after requesting three times, while bringing in the parts to assemble. I believe because of the communication barrier, they didn't understand completely my request!!! After phoning my husband to intervene, he requested them to "remove their shoes" and they still were confrontational but complied!!!! The worst thing is that there was damage to the dining room set and AFA Stores has refused to accept it back! They claim they have the "right to replace or refund" merchandise. However, I wasn't offered an inspection of the furniture, the workers couldn't communicate properly, and they left the boxes and debris in my driveway. Even worse, is that no one from management has responded to my requests to call me regarding this situation. The workers constantly send me an email message with the same "rubber-stamped" response to offer $150.00 compensation and a replacement. I only want a refund and to return the damaged merchandise. read more
