Auto Stop installed a rebuilt engine in my VW Vanagon. Within three miles of leaving the shop, the…read morelow coolant warning alarm came on. I immediately returned, but after a brief inspection I was told there was nothing wrong. When I left the shop, the warning alarm came on again. I called Auto Stop, explained that the warning had returned, and was again assured there was nothing wrong. I was told to wait and see if the alarm came on again after driving. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and I could smell coolant burning on the hot engine. I made it home just before coolant began dripping from the vehicle. At that point, I had the van towed to another repair shop. The second shop found that the primary coolant hose from the reservoir to the engine had been installed incorrectly and was approximately 3/4 inch too short. They also discovered a second hose with a large bulge that was on the verge of rupturing. Both issues required immediate repair. What disappointed me most was not simply that mistakes were made, but that my concerns were repeatedly dismissed. After the warning alarm came on twice within minutes of leaving the shop, I expected a thorough inspection of the cooling system rather than reassurance that nothing was wrong. Because of the improper installation, I incurred more than $500 in additional repair costs, plus the cost of towing the vehicle to another shop. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. The quality of the installation, the lack of careful follow-up, and the poor customer service left me with significant additional expense and inconvenience.

The uhaul had to be towed by somebody else....geico rules... so i had to pay for towing to Boseman) anyway I slept in the back of my new teuck (2016 silverado) until Eric and Lisa opened up... They were awsome...I would give them 10 stars...Eric was right on top of my issue....heater hoses connection had corroded and needed new hoses... he solved the issue and had me rolling again...I don't think it was more than an hour and I was rolling again. It's not very often you find a good reliable place to have your car serviced. I was concerned with me living in Denver and not being familiar with the various auto places in Bozeman. I surfed the web and found Bozeman Community Auto. It had great reviews. I had no choice but to try them. My daughter goes to Montana State in Bozeman and has my Jeep Wrangler. My daughter has had a couple of issues with her car. They fixed my daughter's car at a great price. Their technicians were very knowledgeable, explained exactly what the problem was and what it would take to fix it. Having worked on my Jeep Wrangler before, replacing the cam and rocker arms, I was very familiar with the types of issues that are common on the Jeep. Their assessment was right on! I highly recommend Bozeman Community Auto. Because of their popularity, they are busy. It will take a week or more to get your vehicle in. It's well worth the wait.

Truly, I think it's because the job done was sub-par and on purpose to get my vulnerable and naive self back into their shop. I have spent $3000+ here and will never get it back unless I get a lawyer which I'm highly considering. When I got my fuel injectors done, I immediately had a problem with the engine starting. I took it in for diagnostics and they charged me 160 dollars for them to just look at it. Nothing seemed wrong to their technicians and I was told that it was fine and would level itself out. It did not. I went back again and they said that I needed a small part that I could replace myself easily. I did and still the problem didn't go away. Dave asked me why I hadn't come back and the reason is because he has led me on and bled me dry every time I just had someone look at it. I really thought that Dave was a nice guy and I trusted him but once I had spent $300+ on diagnostics alone, my faith was shaken. Today, my engine didn't start. I called Dave and he basically said that he didn't want to work with me anymore and GOOD LUCK. I was angry on the phone and I guess they say being nice goes a long way, so this was definitely my bad. I am very disappointed in Dave and the scam he runs as a business and I hope he doesn't do this to his daughter. The calls are recorded and I am talking to a lawyer because the other shop I went to charged me nothing. For such a "good" reputation, B+L auto seems to be a sham and I do not suggest you going in to this shop ever unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket and you want to feed the dollar signs in Dave's eyes. After calling around several places with estimates of waiting a week to 3 months; the guys at Foster's Master Touch were able to re-arrange their schedule to fit me in the next morning. The car was drivable so I delivered it and they kindly gave me a ride back to my hotel and picked me up the following day when the car repair was completed. The repair estimate came in at $320; however they did not have to replace a part so the final bill was $260! As a single female traveling through, not knowing much about car repairs; I was so thankful for the honesty, fairness and how they went above and beyond by getting the car in right away and giving me rides to and from my hotel. Throughout the entire process they treated me fairly. I highly recommend this shop!
