I ordered the Eggspanola and it was so delicious. I'm really not sure what it was, maybe the spread, maybe the egg, maybe the sauce?? Made it so delicious. I was going to save my sandwich but I quickly devoured half and ate the other half later. Will be back if I'm ever in the area.

The blueberry bagel I had that day was absolutely superb, probably the best blueberry bagel I've ever had in Boston. A few days later, I craved that same blueberry bagel and made the trip back, which is a considerable drive for me. Upon arrival, I was told that blueberry bagels are not offered every day and are only available on Thursdays. I returned the following Thursday, but the experience was very different. I got blueberry, poppy, and a few other bagels to take home. Unfortunately, all of them were absolutely disappointing. They tasted extremely off and very different from the blueberry bagel I had previously. At home, my family ate about half of what we purchased, but none of us had any desire to finish the rest. Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and the bagels were not enjoyable at all. The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.

Bagels were perfectly soft and the schmear was delicious! I wasn't sure how I would feel about the concept of ripping the bagels and dipping it into the cream cheese, but I actually ended up preferring it - less messy and more cream cheese per bite. Wish PopUp Bagels was in the Bay Area. I would definitely return!

Want your bagel toasted with cream cheese? Nope. They don't toast there. Single serve cream cheese? Nope, gotta buy a full tub. Having never been there before with a group of out-of-towners, we did not know that. Since the minimum order is 3 we decided the three of us would place an order together and all get one bagel + cream cheese, not understanding that it was a full tub of cream cheese each because no one explained that to us. That order of 3 bagels plus a drink came to $29!!! The bagels may be fresh out of the oven, but there is still a difference in the texture and consistency of a toasted bagel that I strongly prefer. Their bagels are super doughy and soft, almost gummy inside. And you have to eat them right away or they get hard. And the everything bagels are so overloaded they make an insane mess as soon as you pick them up. Expect seeds to go literally everywhere. Wholly underwhelming and overpriced. Not for me.

I didn't realize this would be a true hole in the wall; no bathrooms, only three or four tables, you order at the counter. So if you're looking for a sit-down spot, have a backup plan. We got lucky and grabbed a table but it felt like a miracle. This is really more of a takeout spot. The menu is simple: cold and hot sandwiches, about four or five options per category. The sandwiches were delicious, especially the Calabria, packed with prosciutto, spicy soppressata, hot capicola, sharp provolone, Calabrian chili aioli, and arugula. They couldn't substitute the arugula, so I skipped it but it was still the star of the show. My husband had the roast beef and it was good, but the Calabria won. Fair warning: these sandwiches are HUGE. We were so full from lunch we could barely finish dinner and my one regret was not splitting one. Come hungry or come with a plan! The place is a bit chaotic. It took close to 30 minutes to get our order; they were slammed. The guy at the counter was all over the place and forgot to give us our drinks or tell us to grab them from the fridge. But at $17 for a sandwich this thick and this good, it's a great deal in Boston's South End. The flavors made it all worth it.

They put the milk/cream in for you and you pick the coffee up in a separate spot from the food. They call your name for both pickups. For food I got the devilled egg open face bagel that has bacon on top on a whole wheat everything bagel. Eating it was intense. I couldn't put it down once I picked up each side and had to be very careful not to spill the egg mixture off the top. It took a while to eat but was amazingly delicious and exactly what I wanted. I would eat it everyday if I could. If it came with micro greens on top, it would be even better. The mixture had red onions which gave it a punch and crunchy texture. I considered adding salt to the mixture on top but I'm glad I didn't because the bagel itself had sea salt so each bite was salty enough. When I ordered I asked if I could also get 2 bagels to bring home and I was told the limit is 1 on weekends and 2 during the week. The manager (I assume) stepped in and said I could have 2 so I chose the rosemary sea salt, which the only have on weekends. I made breakfast sandwiches on them the next day and it was heavenly. I've been loyal to their Fancy breakfast sandwich which has fried eggs, bacon, cheddar, avocado, (pickled?) red onions, and mayo on toasted bread. While it is not life-changing, I still think it is a very solid breakfast sandwich that is well-balanced. I like the acidity of the red onions and the freshness of the avocado which balances out the oil and fat from the bacon and cheddar. But I would love to try their other popular items like a Mission breakfast burrito, the Crack sandwich, etc!

There's a small park with shaded benches about 2 blocks away (Elliot Norton Park) which is a great place to sit down and devour the food. I ordered the Mission Breakfast Burrito and it was delicious. As of August 2026, the website lists the burrito as $14, but the price on the in-person menu was $16. I would give the burrito 4 out of 5 stars because of the way it was wrapped - about a third of the burrito was just egg and cheese and the toppings (avocado, red onion, hash browns, salsa verde, crema) were crammed on the other side of the burrito. If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot in Boston!
