He said whatever issue I'm having required some shingles to be removed and they won't do that unless they reinstall ALL of the shingles. All of this was decided by standing on the side walk, looking about three stories up, basically not seeing the true problem. Essentially, they're more interested in replacing than repairing. Which means more money for the company. Did he climb up to said roof to see the problem? No. Did he ask to see the interior where water is actually leaking? No. While this "estimate" only lasted about 5-10 minutes, was it a waste of both of our time? Yes.

If you read nothing else, know that there is NO ONE better than TradeMark and Vasilios!! They are incredible and we can't be any happier!! Vasilios came to our house three times to ensure that what we envisioned would become our reality and it did! He spent well-over two hours on two separate occasions with us in his showroom which had every possible combination of quartz, cabinetry, backsplash and flooring. He then helped us re-design our family room. He had samples of everything and showed us what everything would look like together. He also used 3D modeling to show us how it would look. The renditions were perfect. Marvin and Mike from TradeMark Construction whom did the work were equally as amazing! The quality of their work and attention was to detail was perfect. They too were great to work with. They were friendly and punctual. Vasilios communicated regularly with us during the entire five weeks. He also came onsite regularly to ensure everything was just right and to support his team and us. He walked through personally with a punch list upon completion to ensure it was flawless (and it was)! Everyone Vasilios brought in from the plumber to electricians were incredible. I cannot more highly recommend TradeMark Construction and Vasilios! Everything was perfect and we love our new space. Thank you Vasilios and TradeMark! Can't wait to have you for our next project!

We paid over $31,000 for an engineered wood flooring installation and are extremely disappointed…read morewith the outcome. The workmanship was shoddy, careless, and far below professional standards. Multiple issues were evident after installation, and the work failed to meet basic industry and manufacturer guidelines. For the amount charged, we expected high-quality, competent workmanship. Instead, we received a poorly executed installation that will now require significant corrective repairs. In addition, our dishwasher was damaged during the course of the work. Hiring this contractor was a major mistake. Based on our experience, we are seriously considering filing a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) and pursuing legal action. We deeply regret our decision to hire this contractor.

I was referred to this company by an associate and initially I was grateful for the referral…read morebecause I was in a bind and needed renovations at my home done immediately. I gave a lot of grace in the beginning due to time constraints that were outside of the company, but soon started to see that the GC was the problem. I was told the project was going to take 3-months - it took about 8 months to complete and I'm still waiting on some items. A lot of work had to be redone due to it being installed improperly or sloppy work. I expressed how I wanted things to go and the contractor did their own thing. I issued the last check with the impression that they would come back to fix my shower because on the best day the water is hot for maximum of 2 minutes and cold after that . I haven't heard from the contractor in months. I've called, emailed, spoken to the assistant that said they would call back but haven't. I would not recommend this company at all. They lack customer service and follow thru, the work has been subpar and it's a struggle finding someone with good work ethic and integrity

After working with New Castle Constructs (specifically Adonis), I now have a go-to roof specialist…read morehere in Baltimore! For the last few weeks, I've been trying to sleep through numerous squirrel raves in my roof (they seem to party throughout the entire night) and wanted to close down Club Squirrel via a roof repair. New Castle Constructs responded quickly to my inquiry and Adonis showed up the very next day. Working with him was super easy; he answered every single one of my questions (I'm kind of a big "well, what if..." person, no matter how hard I try!) with responses that were practical/reasonable for my situation and budget, and definitely from a subject matter expert. I feel way more prepared and educated on how to maintain the roof of my 170+ year old house! 150 stars out of ten, will definitely be working exclusively with (and highly recommending) Adonis and his team in the future. Thanks again!!

We requested an entire makeover of the first and second floor. The design was fairly good. We spent…read morea lot of time with Tanya going over the design and mostly wound up where we wanted to be. I agree with the other 3 star review person. None of the workers doing the construction work for Dfine. In fact one of them told us no habla ingles, indicating he only spoke Spanish. Highly suggest you find any other firm to do the actual construction. I've never had an issue with Brothers Services or Tim Kyle Electric. If you want the job done right you need a firm that has employees who are vested in the project results and speak English. Dfine's use of contractors that don't work for Dfine is a mistake from the outset. We had delays and eventually had to negotiate a final payment since not all work contracted for was completed or some services were overpriced after checking with other firms. And some work for which I requested a quote so I could check with another firm was simply done without providing a quote for which I had to pay extra for. And Ahmet, while an owner, was never a project manager. In fact there was no project manager watching over daily work. Allied Remodeling at least offers that, where one of the owners reviews the daily work and any communications. I did eventually outsource some of the work to trusted firms like Tim Kyle and Anderson Windows. Did I pay more? Yes. Did I get the work that I expected? Yes. If Dfine somehow convinces you to go with their work crew, insist that David is the primary person who deals with the work. Still not a project manager, but a cut above the rest of what they have to offer. Anyone else is a joke. The design work done by Dfine was thoughtful. The construction could have been much better. And a word about what you think you want. Marble on any part of the remodel looks great. It is however cold as hell to the touch. In the kitchen during winter the counter tops are always cold. And try backing into a cold wall in the shower. It can be shocking. You may want to consider alternatives. There are plenty of firms that can get work done in a day without using marble. My upgrade from the 1960s was better than it was. Not perfect.

We signed a contract with Graves to remodel our kitchen and both upstairs bathrooms. We were told…read more(AFTER we signed) that it would take 4-6 weeks for the cabinets to be ready, so this delayed our project until around the holidays. They were gracious enough, however, to replace our stove (which we needed for Thanksgiving) and fixed/patched a hole in the ceiling in advance of the project. So, that was nice. The problem, though, was that 4-6 weeks turned into FIVE MONTHS. We signed in October, and the project didn't start until March. I think in today's pandemic world, that would have been a lot more understandable given supply chain issues, but we were told this was a personnel issue on the contractor's side. Okay, whatever, we rolled with it. We lived with the old rooms for several years... what was a few more months? The remodeling went well, but instead of 6 weeks, it lasted 8 weeks. Again, not really our biggest gripe. We understand timing and how projects can get wonky sometimes. But, the problem here was, there was no communication from their side as to what the delays were and when we could expect work to resume. In fact, every update we received, it was after WE called THEM. We never received a proactive call from the company. Until... my first Yelp review. It was basically the same as above, with some errant backstory from another vendor that got confused into the mix. Then, we had a call immediately from the owner, within 24 hours of posting the review. So, why did our project manager use this same proactive outreach when working on our project? Why did it take a negative review to stir action? To their defense, half of the issues we pointed out (missing cabinet posts, leak from the commode, stain in the kitchen ceiling from leak/water damage, loose fixture in the bathroom). The other half (repainting the ceiling, loose bathroom faucet fixtures, loose commode not properly in place, dishwasher not attached to the counter and pulling on the paneling) were never addressed. Fast forward to today, and we have a leak (again) in the same commode because there is an unsecured PVC ring that was used to raise said commode for apparently no discernable reason. This has lead to a gradual leak that caused yet another hold in our ceiling, not to mention the cost of having the leak identified and resolved by an outside contractor. At this point, I'm not going to be pressured to recant my review. These are the facts and potential customers should be made aware of our experience. Each of the three remodeled rooms has lingering issues, some more severe than others. Aesthetically, the work was very well done, and we do enjoy the functional and well-working aspects. The parts that need addressing, however, have already cost us additional and unnecessary funds to rectify. This has been an overall unsatisfactory experience.
