I've never had a problem with bringing my instrument on board, which is a huge concern for me. The Irish take care for musicians which is awesome! They provide blankets whenever I head to Ireland. The flight attendants are very nice in general and they will take care of whatever you ask of them. I actually prefer flying Aer Lingus to Ireland over Delta because of the wonderful hospitality. A word to the wise, I have had to wait for quite a bit of time when headed home from the airport in Dublin a few times. Leave plenty of time if you are headed out on an international flight :)

The Spirit Airlines website was super easy to navigate. I got on, created my account, booked my flights, and was all set within a matter of minutes. The confirmation provided all the details for my flight and my gmail was able to pull the details and add it to my calendar. 24 hours before my flight, the check-in reminder came and the checking process was super easy. I didn't have any changes or additions so I was checked in within a minute. Arriving at the gate was vibrant as the Spirit Airlines yellow set the tone for the area. The lines were long but the staff was smiling and friendly. As it came time to board, I was a part of Group 5 which is the bulk of flyers. Though the line was about 3 gates long, the Spirit Airlines staff had an efficient process for getting us out the gate area and onto the aircraft. Of course you can't do anything about the people who hold up the line, but the Spirit Airlines gate agents even had a process for them to step to the side. Woo Hoo! Once on board, the plane is standard size, and the seats aren't as tight as I have heard. I'm 6' 3" and though I didn't have ample space, I didn't feel like I was being crushed either. The seats don't have as much cushion as some of the other airlines, however, my butt didn't start to hurt until I was 2.5hrs into my 3hr flight, so I was good. The Spirit Airlines Flight Attendants are unique in style esthetic, however, their service was industry standard and they always appeared with a smile. As you pay for everything on the flight, the process of purchasing is easy and swift. The pilot was professional and ensured we had a smooth flight into the Boston area. He kept us abreast of weather changes, altitude changes, and gave us ample time to prepare for landing. I deplaned without incident and went on about my day. My return flight to Atlanta was the same experience quality. Coming back, I did add a carry-on ($70) and it was easy to add it during my check in process. Once at Logan, the kiosk was unable to scan my boarding pass, however the ticketing attendant put in my confirmation number and I was good to go. I tagged my bag, headed to the counter, dropped it off, and was on my way to security within 3 minutes. Thank you Spirit Airlines for the safe trip and streamlined standard operating procedures. You and the staff are appreciated.

Ground staff in Boston were pretty polite and helpful in my limited interaction with them. Onboard, service was efficient but not exactly warm. There were a couple of flight attendants that were great but the rest were just going through the motions. The economy offering of kung pao chicken wasn't exciting but it was edible. The IFE was decent and the legroom was okay. However, the recline from the front was quite substantial, which doesn't give you much room to get out or to maneuver. The real issue I had was the amount of delays. Of the four flights I took with Lufthansa, three of them were delayed. Not great. I had to make a connection at Frankfurt, and the Lufthansa app gives you directions to navigate from where you arrive to the gate for the next flight. However, I was given wrong information and ended up having to ask around and having more complications than while the app led me to. I wouldn't go out-of-my-way to fly this airline again but it's decent enough.

As Boston is a major United hub, it was interesting to see 80%+ of the plane boarding with Pre-Boarding, Group 1 or 2. This is a unique service offered only on the A321T and offered only from Boston to LAX, JFK to LAX, and JFK to SFO and JFK to SNA. The A321T is uniquely configured with Flagship First, Flagship Business, and economy. The amenities and seating in the premium cabins is much more akin to a widebody aircraft with lie-flat seating offered in first and business and seatback screens throughout the aircraft. Sadly, these aircraft will soon be retired as AA moves toward eliminating Flagship First systemwide. The seating in first is 1-1 which offers a lot of privacy. The seatback screen is large and high definition with a wide selection of movies and other entertainment options. Noise cancelling B&O headsets are also distributed. The meal service in first is enhanced versus what is offered in business including higher end touches on the meal tray like individual salt and pepper shakers and a metal napkin holder. There is also actual champagne in first versus prosecco in business. There is also a soup course in first which is not offered in business. The flight attendant was great and offered an attentive and premium service. Baked on board cookies are also offered prior to arrival. Overall, this was a great transcon flight on AA. Sadly, it's the exception and not the rule as service and amenities on other AA flights leaves a lot to be desired.

We started out with a good flight to our destination, and our return flight was nothing but a nightmare. We were trying to book an earlier flight to get home before midnight, and in doing so the American Airlines system allowed us to book, and charge us for a flight that was already delayed. As we arrived at the airport we then had to check in with guest services, which took a while as NO ONE knew where we were to go, to get the flight changed. Mind you still being charged an additional fee for changing the flight to a flight that was ideally no longer available. Followed by then paying for two bag fees and then finally getting a new flight, with a layover. Once we arrived in our final destination, I was then presented with a text message saying that one of our bags was delayed. Trying to get that bag delivered to our home has been nothing but a complete mess, as nobody actually knows where our bag is and how to get it to us. They're completely incompetent through the phones and the chat system. This is the WORST experience we have ever had with an airline and I am still without my bag after 2 days. With all of the technology and delivery systems these days, this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. We will never use this Airline again, very unreliable and unprofessional.

Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for passengers needing help with reservations, flight changes, cancellations, rebooking, baggage inquiries, refunds, and other travel-related concerns. The customer service team assists travelers with managing existing bookings, updating itineraries, exploring alternative travel options, and addressing questions throughout the travel process. As a oneworld Emerald member, I've flown with several alliance airlines over the years and have always been able to select my seats at no extra cost. Because of those experiences, I expected a similar level of consistency when flying with American Airlines. Unfortunately, this trip turned out to be one of the more disappointing premium travel experiences I've had. When I booked the flight, I paid an extra **$140** to reserve seats that looked like they offered a much better layout than the standard options. Based on the seat map shown during booking, I felt the additional cost was justified. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we quickly realized the seating arrangement wasn't what had been displayed online. It felt misleading, and paying extra for something that didn't match the booking information left a poor first impression before the flight had even departed. My assigned seat, **6K**, was another letdown. At first glance it looked perfectly fine, but after sitting in it for a while, the lack of cushioning became impossible to ignore. The lower back support was poor, and I ended up using extra pillows and folded blankets just to stay reasonably comfortable for the rest of the flight. On longer journeys, seat comfort isn't a luxury--it's one of the biggest reasons people are willing to pay extra for premium seating. In this case, it simply didn't live up to expectations. Before the flight, I also needed some basic information about my itinerary and the aircraft. What should have been a quick phone call turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience. I first spoke with an agent in Detroit, who transferred me to another department that I believe was in Chicago. After waiting again, I was told they couldn't help and was given yet another phone number to call. That representative eventually sent me back to the original Detroit office. After repeating my situation several times to different people, someone finally answered the question I had asked from the very beginning. The whole process felt disorganized and could have been handled much more efficiently. Once onboard, there were definitely some positives. The aircraft looked clean, modern, and well maintained when passengers first boarded. The flight attendants also deserve credit because they remained friendly, patient, and professional throughout the journey, even while dealing with a full cabin and constant passenger requests. They worked hard, and it showed. As the flight went on, though, the overall cabin environment became less enjoyable. Several passengers were loud for extended periods, and the atmosphere never really settled down. The lavatories also became noticeably dirty only a few hours into the flight. Wet floors, messy counters, and overflowing paper towels made them unpleasant to use. While I understand it's difficult to keep restrooms spotless on a busy flight, more frequent checks would have made a noticeable difference. Looking back, the crew's professionalism was easily the strongest part of the experience, but it wasn't enough to outweigh the problems with seat selection, customer service, cabin comfort, and cleanliness. For an airline of American Airlines' size and reputation, I expected a much more consistent premium experience. Based on this trip, I'll be comparing other airlines before booking another similar journey. I genuinely hope these issues are addressed because the airline has the potential to provide a far better experience than what I received on this flight.

I initially contacted a representative in Seattle regarding flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Portland, where I was informed they could not assist and provided another contact number. After several transfers and repeated explanations, I was eventually redirected back to the original department before finally receiving the information I needed.
