As an Emerald member with the one world alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again. read more

This isn't going to be a rage review, unlike many airline reviews you see on Yelp. My experience with this airline was a mixed bag. I flew Lufthansa to Frankfurt. Ground staff in Boston were pretty polite and helpful in my limited interaction with them. Onboard, service was efficient but not exactly warm. There were a couple of flight attendants that were great but the rest were just going through the motions. The economy offering of kung pao chicken wasn't exciting but it was edible. The IFE was decent and the legroom was okay. However, the recline from the front was quite substantial, which doesn't give you much room to get out or to maneuver. The real issue I had was the amount of delays. Of the four flights I took with Lufthansa, three of them were delayed. Not great. I had to make a connection at Frankfurt, and the Lufthansa app gives you directions to navigate from where you arrive to the gate for the next flight. However, I was given wrong information and ended up having to ask around and having more complications than while the app led me to. I wouldn't go out-of-my-way to fly this airline again but it's decent enough. read more

Munich to Boston... Premium Economy... Flight was 1.5 hours late in departure. Got to seat right away. Overhead bin above my seat was jammed by economy travelers. No room for my things. During the 7 hour flight, received two shot-glass sized glasses of Coke. That's it. Nothing left out for pax to help themselves and no FAs came to check on us. The cabin was too warm and there were no headphones. Not Lufthansa's fault... -Same type of unprepared pax idiots that hound other travelers to swap seats. -A huge A380 which means 500+ passengers so u won't get your luggage for at least an hour after landing. Not doing Lufthansa again. read more

Not only did Lufthansa cancel our flight from Boston two days in a row, the level of chaos and confusion was unbelievable. At one point we were given boarding passes for the wrong date. Then, one Lufthansa rep was astonished that her colleague had just given us boarding passes for a cancelled flight. Same level of confusion at every leg of our trip. In Naples, no attempt to have passengers board the plane in an orderly fashion; in Munich, one rep is telling us to board at another gate. The rep at that gate is sending us back to the first gate. Lufthansa promised to at least pay some of the cost of the hotel room I booked after the first cancelled flight. That was almost three months ago and i have not received anything. When I asked why I had not received the promised compensation, it took nearly a month for Lufthansa to respond with a form letter saying, "We're looking into it." I assume they are just stringing me along until I finally give up. read more

Horrible costumer service. They hate Americans. My daughter was treated very badly and on top of that she was DOUBLE charged for her ski bag. Agent did not care one bit about her skies, which was RUINED because the agent decided to put it in a PLASTIC BAG instead of her ski bag!!! Nobody takes responsibility and will take your money in a heart beat. No refunds, no apologies. Horrible people, all of them!!! Also Lufthansa will change your seats even though we paid for it! They do not give a s #*! about it and will do whatever they want! You cannot complain. I was on a chat online and the robot could care less! Stay away from this airline! read more

if i could give it a zero i wouldn't hesitate spent hours in logan intl airport with 5 delays, plane diverted to ny with no explanation......finally at 1 am, flight canceled leaving us a stranded....no food/hotel/transportation vouchers.....no assistance or customer service. i missed my connections via germany to italy and had previously be rescheduled only to have a 10pm flight delayed beginning a one pm in the afternoon. the flights were rebooked for some but no guarantee they would leave tonight and the only option for me was to fly via frankfurt, with two 5 hour delays enroute and getting into bari italy well after dinner. no guarantee when or if there would be more delays from germany i had paid for vip transport, and 2 extra days before a tour.....so at 1 am was forced along with others to take a cab home and it cost me over $100 , arriving home 1:30 am.....proceeded to call my travel company, gate 1, and the emergency insurance co. ( had purchased 2 policies) and again luftsansa who again told me it wasn't up to them, ;take it up with gate 1 so i attempted calls and discussions until 4 am and this morning had american express start a multi faceted dispute for resolution.....this fiasco amounted to over 6,000 dollars us cancelled another upcoming trip for may to norway with gate l and will never use them again or lufthansa. i have visited over 80 countries and have never been treated so poorly by both of these companies and i had purchased luftsans thru gate 1 and had upgraded the plane selections. so no customer service and lots of run arounds that got us no where...they should'nt be working for the company; i ran a 100 yr. old family business for over 35 years and we were always known for our attention to detail and our customer service. read more

We had a terrible experience on Lufthansa Airlines. We were put on Standby along with many other people who did not pay an additional $60 to choose their seat. Not being assured of a way home until the last minute even though we got to the airport 4 hours early and checked in right away, was very stressful. Once boarding the plane it got even worse. I had called days prior to order a nut free meal because I have a life threatening nut allergy. The first Lufthansa number I called, the guy answered the phone by saying, "Hello." I asked if this was Lufthansa and he said, "Yes". When I inquired about ordering a special meal, he told me it was the wrong number. When I asked for the correct number he said, "Google it". I told him that's how I got the number I just called. Then he hung up on me. I was eventually able to talk to the right person and was able to order a nut free meal. When meal time came, guess what? No nut free meal for me. Ugh. My sister, who was traveling with me, was instructed by the airline attendant not to put her seat back on an 8 hour flight because the guy behind her had long legs. Seriously?! Lufthansa is the worst! read more

We were booked in business class Munich-Boston on 10/22/24, The flight was delayed leaving Munich 1 hr with no explanation and then another hour on tarmac due to a medical issue, subsequently there was a "runway issue "in Boston so the flight was diverted to JFK airport in NYC where the plane was refueled and then the push back apparatus could not be detached from the plane and we were forced to get off the plane at midnight go through customs and given our luggage and told by Lufthansa ground agents of which there were 3 for 300 people to find our own way back to Boston and we would be reimbursed. It was absurd , we spent the night on the floor in JFK, found a Jet Blue flight the next morning which we paid for along with transportation from Logan airport in Boston to our home cost over $700 . After contacting Lufthansa and following the instructions on their website and numerous phone calls with disinterested customer service representatives and filling out numerous forms online we received an email that they were not responsible and we were not eligible for any reimbursement even though we explicitly followed the instructions of their people. They essentially abandoned us in NYC and took no responsibility saying that the runway issue wasn't their fault, that may be the case but the delay in Munich and subsequent mechanical issues in NYC are their responsibility. DO NOT expect any understanding or customer service from this airline and I will never fly with them again. read more

Never had as much trouble with an airline as I have with Lufthansa. Their customer service is terrible. For every call we make, we get disconnected multiply times. No one really knows how things on their website works. Our current issue is the seats we selected and paid for back in October kept disappearing from our reservations. We were told multiple reasons why but not one was the same. Since our trip is in a few weeks. We are forced to buy another set of seats and wait for them to return our original $600. Now our new problem is no one can give us a straight answer as to when we can get our original $600 back. If I have a choice, I would not fly Lufthansa. read more

My wife had to return home to bosnia for a family emergency death in family. Had covid pcr test and proper passport we get to airport and we're denied because one stop in vienna did not allow American passports. We spoke with service supervisor who stated she wrote our problem in the notes and we could call customer service to rebook. We called customer service which after 3 hrs of being hung up on the woman stated we could not rebook the flight and we were listed as a no show at the airport we were with the supervisor at the airport for over an hour trying to fix everything. Then she said we could not get a refund as the ticket was listed as no refundable very unfair and unprofessional conduct. Not one person cared about our situation or tried to help us it was an awful experience read more

I was booted off a flight that was overbooked along with six other passengers. The staff were incredibly rude to the passengers who were not able to get a seat, claiming it was their fault for checking in too late. I booked this flight months in advance and arrived at the airport three hours early to check in. We were put up in a shoddy airport hotel for the night with no access to our checked luggage. The hotel also lacked basic toiletries for women, and the food provided with the voucher was subpar. I needed to be at work the next day, and Lufthansa didn't even attempt to "sweeten the deal" for volunteering to give up one's seat before leaving several of us who needed to be on that flight on the tarmac. We also did not receive greater compensation as involuntary rebooked passengers than what was offered to volunteers, which I found very unfair. Additionally, during the check-in process not only did their check-in machines barely work, but their line signage was completely unclear. read more

Lufthansa is the worst airline I have ever traveled on. On 9/28/19 my daughter and I flew from Porto Portugal to Frankfurt Germany with a connecting flight to JFK in NY. We got off the plane in terminal A and had to get to terminal Z for our connecting flight. Fortunately the flight to JFK was delayed but we just made it. The flight attendants were drinking wine for the 7 hour flight. They were rude with absolutely no customer service. They just laughed and enjoyed their wine. When we landed at JFK an announcement was made that the machine that puts the luggage on the plane in Frankfort broke so our luggage did not arrive with us. I called and spent over an hour on hold to give someone all the information about my luggage to get a reference number. I have called every day and there is no update on where the luggage is. Today is 10/2/19. There are over 200 pieces of luggage that did not arrive. The airlines knows where it is. Also, they pack the customers like sardines. When the person in front of me pulled back her seat it was 6 inches from my face. I hope and pray I get me luggage. Never never again. read more

Good Lord; can they make these seats any smaller? When the person in front pushes back their seat it is literally in your face. The upside is that they still give you free booze so you can get hammered and be somewhat less miserable. Their boarding process in Munich is miserable; so much so that I strongly suspect they have outsourced this responsibility to the TSA. Only our own TSA could create such a nightmare. Jet Blue is still the most civil of the airlines domestically and Virgin or Iceland Air the most civil internationally. read more

Seats are very small, ( I'm not a big person either) left Germany made it across then had an unscheduled landing at Logan international for fuel, our destination was NJ but they made the U turn in NY! Really!! I've never flown Lufthansa before, but I know I'll never fly this airline again. read more

The flight was fine, but flying international it took 1 hour and 30 minutes for the baggage to arrive. Other airlines had later flights and finished their baggage service much faster. Shame on Lufthansa's baggage service. Many unhappy passengers today. read more

My last 7.5 hour flight was a bit rough for my partner and I. First we booked our tickets months ago and could not select seats. We were 4 rows apart. This was a bummer on such a long flight. Next my TV did not work for the first 2 hours of the flight...my partners never worked for the entire flight. This is simply not acceptable for such a long flight. I will say the staff was great and really did all they could to help us with this problem. After 3 reboots mine worked. They did give duty free vouchers to my partner for the inconvenience. I would hope this is not an everyday experience for all travelers. This was my first trip with them. Before booking my next international flight I will see what my options are. read more

Inside the aircraft, the customer service is pretty good. Caring and attentive. However, any problems with flights being cancelled. Good luck. These people are more interested in sleeping out in the rain then talking to you or helping what so ever. Recently one of their planes became disabled while we were on it which led to a cancellation. This set off a series of events which resulted in an extra three days in Europe unplanned. Sounds good right? Wrong. 4 hours in line the first night to be booked on another flight which we were removed from while were en route in the air, landing in another country, to be rebooked again. Next day same thing. We called to ask and spent time in there customer "service" areas for reimbursement of lost wages or at least something (upgrade or whatever) and all we got was rude apathetic customer service. Not to mention a lot of finger pointing. Think twice before flying these folks, because god forbid anything goes wrong, you'll be left with a lot of nothing to show for it. I travel quite a bit to include international travel, I have never had a worse customer service experience. read more

took a LH business class for trip to Europe. Check-in process was smooth. LH Business lounge at BOS was way better than US-carriers lounges. 747 upper deck was quite comfortable. The only downside was, as a foreign carrier, that TSA-pre was unavailable. read more

The Spirit Airlines website was super easy to navigate. I got on, created my account, booked my flights, and was all set within a matter of minutes. The confirmation provided all the details for my flight and my gmail was able to pull the details and add it to my calendar. 24 hours before my flight, the check-in reminder came and the checking process was super easy. I didn't have any changes or additions so I was checked in within a minute. Arriving at the gate was vibrant as the Spirit Airlines yellow set the tone for the area. The lines were long but the staff was smiling and friendly. As it came time to board, I was a part of Group 5 which is the bulk of flyers. Though the line was about 3 gates long, the Spirit Airlines staff had an efficient process for getting us out the gate area and onto the aircraft. Of course you can't do anything about the people who hold up the line, but the Spirit Airlines gate agents even had a process for them to step to the side. Woo Hoo! Once on board, the plane is standard size, and the seats aren't as tight as I have heard. I'm 6' 3" and though I didn't have ample space, I didn't feel like I was being crushed either. The seats don't have as much cushion as some of the other airlines, however, my butt didn't start to hurt until I was 2.5hrs into my 3hr flight, so I was good. The Spirit Airlines Flight Attendants are unique in style esthetic, however, their service was industry standard and they always appeared with a smile. As you pay for everything on the flight, the process of purchasing is easy and swift. The pilot was professional and ensured we had a smooth flight into the Boston area. He kept us abreast of weather changes, altitude changes, and gave us ample time to prepare for landing. I deplaned without incident and went on about my day. My return flight to Atlanta was the same experience quality. Coming back, I did add a carry-on ($70) and it was easy to add it during my check in process. Once at Logan, the kiosk was unable to scan my boarding pass, however the ticketing attendant put in my confirmation number and I was good to go. I tagged my bag, headed to the counter, dropped it off, and was on my way to security within 3 minutes. Thank you Spirit Airlines for the safe trip and streamlined standard operating procedures. You and the staff are appreciated.

Wish I could say zero stars …read more No chance. Got to the airport at 4am My flight 6 am got changed to 12pm, then 4:30, then 11:35.... Sat at the airport till 9, then found out the flight got cancelled at 8:45. They said oh we can get you on a flight for Monday afternoon..... cruise leaves Sunday. JetBlue no flights available. Had to go with delta only thing available was 1st class... $2908 later, we are now waiting at the airport until 4:40 pm to leave for Miami. We are going on a cruise and need to be there it's our honeymoon! Spirit offered nothing to help or assist other than we can get you there two days later.... I understand there is issue and delay and cancellation.... There's no weather no issues or problems with any other flights. Their absolute best answer was $30 for a future flight, respectfully kill yourself, that's the most pathetic service, absolutely. Long story short if you plan to do anything or fly anywhere never EVER take a flight from this company.... Terrible, horrible, worse experience ever, btw this was my first experience with spirit and the absolute last. Useless worse terrible experience they should immediately stop being a company

However, when we sat down in the first class cabin, I had to ask, "Honey, who shrank the plane?" The plane looked new, and was very clean. The seats also looked new, and there was a nice flat screen to watch movies. But the legroom felt really tight for first class, and the seat recline felt very limited. When my laptop was stowed under the seat, there was just enough space for my feet on the floor. The meal was very good (always go with the chicken - in this case chicken thighs), and the flight attendants were very attentive. The plane departed and arrived on time. Overall, a good flight except for the scant seating.

She was patient and went the extra mile when she truly did not have to. Not only did she take on my issue when I was not departing from her terminal, but she also answered each of my questions calmly and kindly and escalated it via phone. Because of her kindness, I got rebooked on the next flight out. This kind of patience and kindness is rare in the customer service industry and even exceptional among the interactions I've had with Delta over the last 12 months. I'm so grateful to her. I hope that this kindness will be remembered when she is up for promotion and/or performance review. Indeed, this is the kind of team member Delta could use more of at every level.

Then on the plane the flight attendants were so sweet. Our flight left on time. No delays and the Beef Stew dinner with roasted potatoes and string beans they served after being in the air for only an hour was fantastic. I watched a movie, drank 2 glasses of complimentary wine and slept a little with the complimentary blanket over me. Aer Lingus is definitely one of my favorite international airlines.

I could not begin my trip without it. At the time I was promised compensation for hotel and transportation costs that were incurred while I waited 24 hours for the bag to arrive. 8 months later I'm still fighting with them. They now say they would have bought me a toothbrush, but are not liable for any other incidental costs surrounding their lack of care. The response from customer service has been glacially slow and seems to be from a bot. Any other airline would have put me up for a night and compensated me for the transportation cost and lost lodging. Not Aer Lingus. Stay away from this airline.

He refused to read the website rules, his supervisor could not figure out computer. I was booked into a seat for which I paid for extra leg room, showed them confirmation but they overbooked the flight and tried to give me a different seat 20 rows back because I had a service dog. This is illegal and they were nasty about it. My dog was perfectly well mannered and professionally trained. Worst customer service of any airline. I will NEVER fly United again.

Vegetarian option was pretty good. Chocolate pie is my fave. 7.5.22.

This is a unique service offered only on the A321T and offered only from Boston to LAX, JFK to LAX, and JFK to SFO and JFK to SNA. The A321T is uniquely configured with Flagship First, Flagship Business, and economy. The amenities and seating in the premium cabins is much more akin to a widebody aircraft with lie-flat seating offered in first and business and seatback screens throughout the aircraft. Sadly, these aircraft will soon be retired as AA moves toward eliminating Flagship First systemwide. The seating in first is 1-1 which offers a lot of privacy. The seatback screen is large and high definition with a wide selection of movies and other entertainment options. Noise cancelling B&O headsets are also distributed. The meal service in first is enhanced versus what is offered in business including higher end touches on the meal tray like individual salt and pepper shakers and a metal napkin holder. There is also actual champagne in first versus prosecco in business. There is also a soup course in first which is not offered in business. The flight attendant was great and offered an attentive and premium service. Baked on board cookies are also offered prior to arrival. Overall, this was a great transcon flight on AA. Sadly, it's the exception and not the rule as service and amenities on other AA flights leaves a lot to be desired.

In this letter I asked you to make sure that my return ticket to ... is not cancelled because I was not able to return to ... on March 30, 2016 because of my medical condition. Currently I am still in rehabilitation in two hospitals here in Toronto, Canada in order to recover from my brain injury and brain operation that followed. For some unexplainable reason, the response that came from you indicated that you could not find my name in the passengers' list of the flights I took with your airline even though I have provided you with my full first and last name, the flights dates, and the flights numbers. I must say that in this time of terrorism, it is worrisome that you were not able to find me in the list of the passengers. Today (July 22, 2016) at 5:00pm I called the Lufthansa Reservations Centre of Peterborough Ontario Canada. The phone number I called was 1-800-563-5954 and I spoke with ... (agent sign: ..., location call centre: ...). I gave him my full first and last name, the flights dates, and the flights numbers. I asked him to give me my flight ticket number based on the information that I provided him. He could not find my name in the passenger lists of these flights. He was able to find out that I have been on these flights only after I actually provided him with my ticket number. Lufthansa is the largest airline in Europe. It is truly very disturbing to find out that safety concerns are not on the top of the list of Lufthansa. In addition, there was a delay of the flight from Frankfurt to Toronto due to mechanical problems with the airplane. I had to stay overnight in Frankfurt before continuing my journey to Toronto while I was after brain injury and in need of medical attention. In addition, when I called the Lufthansa Reservations Centre of Peterborough Ontario Canada before my return flight to ... which was scheduled for March 30, 2016, they were rude when I asked them to postpone my flight back to ... because all my doctors in Canada advised me to continue with treatment for rehabilitation before I return to ... I did not have the strength at the time to argue with the people of Lufthansa Reservations Centre. In addition, after a few reminders from me by email, you responded to my request by asking me for information stating that you could not find me in the passengers list of flight ... that left ... to Frankfurt on February 23, 2016 and you could not find my name on the passenger list of the flight that left to Toronto from Frankfurt. You asked me to provide you with my ticket number or the reservation code. On July 15, 2016 I sent you my Lufthansa itinerary which includes the booking reference and the ticket number and my boarding ticket from Frankfurt to Toronto which includes the ticket number. I have not heard from you yet despite the fact that I have sent you several reminders. In addition, as I have stated previously in my two letters to you, I will provide you with all necessary medical documentation from my doctors in Canada and in ... I think that any other airline would have postponed my flight due to my serious medical condition and given all the difficulties that your airline has caused me, I would expect a compensation too.
