This service, specifically the advertised Boston Logan Lyft shuttle that is operated through C&L…read moreair limo, is a total scam. They advertise a $5 airport shuttle, and then charge you an extra $40 "gratuity" without warning. There's no way to cancel the reservation online, and the number provided in the emails and texts is a fake number. Somehow I managed to get in contact with someone but I had to fight to get a full refund, because suddenly the cancellation policy was 24 hours before the flight instead of the 1 hour cancellation policy provided in their confirmation email. This service is completely dishonest and illegitimate. DO NOT BOOK!!

Pros: punctual, helpful, made both pick-up from home and airport very easy (the pick-up was…read moreespecially easy and driver went to lengths to make sure we knew where to go, which wasn't far). Both drivers very pleasant to talk to. Car comfortable and seemed clean. No fooling around re: mask -- we wear them and so did driver. Thoughtful re: heat/cool/fresh air. Will be using them again -- no question. However, these Cons: 1. a certain amount of quibbling with the office about size of vehicle we needed, which affected the price we'd be charged by $20-30+ base price. We had 2 people, 2 small roll-aboards (22" carry-on-sized cases) to be checked, a briefcase, and two small carry-on bags that would fit under the airline seat. Our telephone contact tried to insist that we needed an SUV rather than a sedan and asked me to take a photo of the luggage to prove we could fit in the sedan. I did but he still didn't believe it would all fit in the sedan's trunk (I told him it all fit in my Corolla's trunk) and warned me that they wouldn't allow any bags in laps or on seats. Eventually, because we'd already ok'd the sedan and credit-card charge for it, we did get the sedan. Plenty of room for the luggage in the trunk, no problem. ' 2. A small issue, but for the price, it might have been nice for the drivers to help 2 elderly get their luggage from/to the front steps of the house (if not the door in Covid times). But both drivers were otherwise cheery, mindful of our preferences re route, etc. and -- as I said -- we'll use Smurfs again.

I prefer to tip myself and I might give a little less or a little more to a driver, but it's unusual for transportation businesses to charge a tip and I said that. The owner of the business then said go somewhere else and hung up on me. Absolutely shocking and I will not use this business again. Think about going elsewhere because who needs that kind of rude behavior in this world. Of course some people are just looking for ways to be offended. Not good for business though..

On top of it we were visiting from out of town and were the sober part of party and they were kind enough to help us figure out where to meet them. The drivers were courteous and kind and went above and beyond to make sure all of our party was taken care of and safely in the vehicle after a rather crazy night on the town. We booked a cab through the app for a ride from Cambridge to south station at 5am. I was concerned…read moreabout not being able to get an Uber/Lyft that early in the morning because there seems to be some sort of supply shortage lately around Boston. I did some research about cab companies around Cambridge/Boston, and Green Cab and Yellow Cab Companies stood out because of its app. The app was intuitive and easy to navigate. You'll need to register for an account, and you'll receive a email confirmation after the ride is booked. You'll also see a fee estimation when you book the ride, but the actual price may vary. On the day, I got a notification inside the app (i had it open) about 15 minutes prior to our schedule pickup time that said a car was assigned to our ride. It tells you the license plate and the driver's info. Once the cab is dispatched, you can track it live on the map. Our cab arrived about 5 minutes earlier than the schedule pick up time. The car has the cab company logo on it so it was easy to find. The driver also gave us a call when he was outside, which was quite nice. Our ride was about $25 before tips and we got to south station in less than 20 minutes. I actually checked Uber price before we headed out and it would have cost $50-$70. You can pay by cash or credit card in the car, or link a credit card in the app. Overall it was a good experience, and I would use Green Cab and Yellow Cab Companies again!

Yes, watched as I loaded my stuff into the back of the crappy SUV. Lastly, I'm opting for a car service to drive to the airport as I may not be awake to do so myself, therefore I would fully expect the driver to be awake during the drive -- yours was not. I stayed awake and watched as he veered into and out of our lane numerous times, eight to be exact.
