Went in for an oil change that I had an appointment for and Adam and Christian helped get this done in less than 30mins and Christian made everything super smooth and easy! I would def recommend this place to anyone looking to get a reasonable cheap oil change! I got synthetic and they checked my vehicle for anything else I would have needed. Will def be back! read more

Ok. 1star only because there is no 0 star option. Made a 11am appointment for a oil change two days prior to the appointment. Was specific when I made the appointment that I had someplace to be @ 1pm. Day of appointment: Arrived @10:45am, did work order paperwork and handed over the car keys. 11:30am: in waiting area and car still in parking Lot where I left it. Asked counter person for status on my now half hour late appointment. He apologized and said his techs were running late on their repair schedule. I had to squeeze him a bit for a time estimate and he said 30-45 minutes. I said that was unacceptable but he made no effort to improve the time. I compromised and said I would go out to lunch and return in 45 minutes and that he should hold my spot and do the change when I got back @12:15. 12:15pm I returned from my lunch and a new counter person was there. He had no idea who I was, and said of course they could not do the oil change between 12-1 because all their techs were out to lunch.. 12:16pm I went ballistic on this poor guy and mid way in my rant he says " well there's a lot of place between where you live and here to change your oil." Game on!!! I told him how a proper business is run and that I could change the oil in the parking lot with a jack in less than 15 minutes. He invited me to do so and mentioned that I had left the waiting room for 45 minutes, it's not like I was in the waiting room the whole time... I think I had a mild aneurism at this point. 12:17pm My loud tone of voice brought a 2nd employee to the counter to form a tag team. I rehashed the horrible business practices and suggested he not let the techs take lunch at the same time and he said something about state laws on lunch breaks. Weary of the battle, running short on time for my afternoon schedule, and getting slightly hoarse, I opted to leave this train wreck of a business and try to salvage the rest of my afternoon. OMG, all this drama over a simple oil change... 12:30pm In bar nursing a drink trying to calm my nerves. Complaints filed by me with Yelp for the general public and Meinke headquarters about what a train wreck this particular franchise location is.... STAY AWAY... Like the guy said, there's lots of other places closer to your house that can service your car. UPDATE Meinke reply below: Too little too late. This would NEVER have happen at a properly run business and based on the the other reviews, problems like this seem chronic at this location. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression and I will avoid your franchise like a plague.. read more

I always choose Meineke for the exceptional service but this particular location was even better than expected. I went in with complaints of pulling and rattling and (as expected) found out I needed a decent amount of maintenance. I felt like all of my car's needs were clearly explained and the staff was very knowledgeable. I recently moved to the area and was sad to leave my previous Meineke but I'm so happy to have found a new preferred location. Additionally, I went in during the COVID-19 pandemic because I commute for work and I work in healthcare. I desperately needed an oil change but the additional required maintenance was urgent as well. I am so thankful that the location remained open during this time and I'm very appreciative of the extra precautions that were taken to wipe my car down before returning it to me. read more

I honestly wish I could give Aegis more than 5 stars! They have excellent customer service and were beyond professional. I took my car in because it was making an awful noise and I was positive I had bad breaks that damaged the rotors. Adam helped me from start to finish, he was super professional and when he called me to pick up the car I was pleased by how fair the price was! My rotors were actually fine after all, apparently the hot spots on the breaks were responsible for all the harsh noises. Regardless, I was thankful that they were so fair and honest with me despite my lack of car knowledge! I also thought I was going to have to order a part to fix a cosmetic piece in the car but Adam was actually able to snap it back in with no new parts!! I really can't say enough about the service!!!! Would absolutely recommend! read more

Awesome employees ! Fast dependable services. Never disappoints me. Also there is coupons on their website!

I have tried to resolve my refund issue with this company for three months now. Still no resolution. Now "customer service" wont even call me back. The manager at the store just keeps telling me that "they will send a check", but I have not seen a check. He said he would call me back to give me the status, but of course.... no call. I don't know how a place can stay in business treating customers this way. read more

This place is a joke. I made an appointment for a routine oil change and to diagnose an issue I was having with my headlight. Meineke ended up having my car for about 8 1/2 hours (after ME having to call them to find out supposedly all these other things are wrong with it and me spending another almost $500 to fix some other issues). No communication from them, I had to keep calling for updates. When they were finally done w my car they returned it to me w the passenger window fully down. I never ever put my windows down so I tried to roll it up and the window is stuck (the motor doesn't even make any noise at all). Go back inside (because I hadn't left yet) and the guy tries to blame the window being stuck down on me... even though I never roll down the passenger side and I dropped off the car with windows up (why did the window even get touched when you were supposed to be working on oil and driver side headlight anyways). He props it up for me (by crumbling up cardboard and stuffing it between the window and the door, I learned the next day) and tells me to call him tomorrow so he can figure out how to fix it. Tells me the next day it'll be $400 to fix the window (that THEY broke, mind you) I refuse and he tries to tell me it's a discount. Unbelievable I request Meineke's insurance information so I can file a claim and they tag my complaint as requesting compensation and they just send me a copy-pasted apology about the bad service. I send an extremely detailed email to customer service and get exactly the same copy-pasted apology. I respond to my original complaint and have heard nothing back at all, even though I left my phone and email. This entire situation has been frustrating, expensive, and very drawn-out. Honestly I've never had such a poor experience with a Meineke (I faithfully went to the one in Manteca, CA for all my car needs until I moved) Don't trust this location. read more

Called in to see if they caould figure out what was wrong with my vehicle and they said they can see it right away. They were very fast and kept me informed about what was going to be done to try and figure out what the problem was. Good people doing good work. Formerly known as Meineke, new name same great employees. I've brought both my cars in recently, they do a thorough inspection with an oil change and recommended fixes but aren't pushy about it. Great place I'll be coming back. Over the last 10 years, I've taken a couple of cars to this Meineke location and had both positive and negative experiences. Overall I'm giving this location a lower review because of the expensive prices. A technician once tried to sell me BS saying my CV joint was going bad when I had originally brought the car in for an oil change that came with a multi point inspection. I told him I didn't had the time nor the funds to get it repaired at the time so I took it home and went about my business. Fast forward a year later, I bring my car back to Meineke for an unrelated issue and I bring up the CV joint. The original technician was not there anymore and the guy who was helping me seemed genuine in my concern so he inspected it, came back and told me my CV joint was fine. He even showed me. Another time I brought the car to this location had a minor leak in oil that concerned me, took the car in, they did a UV light dye test and "fixed" the issue. Nothing was fixed. Another time I had a crack in my original radiator, they replaced the radiator with no issues. Took the family car in with a bad transmission and the price I was quoted was way too high. Overall I'd say this location is ok. I've seen this place go through several changes in management and I've experienced a rollercoaster of both positive and negative repairs. If you feel like you have to go to this location, do that. But with all mechanics and all shops, be informed about your car before and after you bring it in. read more

If you come here make sure you pay attention to detail and mark your tires when rotated! I came here about a year ago because it's within walking distance to my house. I got an oil change/ tire rotation and they didn't rotate my tires (I had marked them). I then came back with my mechanic to see if they do rotor resurfacing. The guy at the front laughed and said why would I do that when I service rotors here? Well let's see maybe because it would be better to make $80 resurfacing them then $0. We left and just laughed. I then needed to make an appointment to do a break line flush. I called to see how much and he told me. I called around to a few other places and the price was within the other quotes. I made the apt online for the following day (I went with them since I could walk home). I get there and go to sign the paper and he overcharged me by $20 from the previous day. I tell him this and he makes excuses about a performance package that he couldn't even explain to me. I had it corrected and left my car there. He told me I needed her shocks which I asked him to check. He quoted me $1700-2200 . Not sure if he was trying to take advantage because I was a girl or if they are really that big of a rip off. read more

Came for an oil change. Had an appointment. I was the first customer. Been here almost 2 hours. No explanation won't be back.

Laurie the front desk lady here was not helpful at all. She was rude to a man before me and kept giving him unclear answers about his vehicle and who he could contact for questions about him. She kept saying to him, "Ray will be back tomorrow and you can talk to him then," instead of speaking with someone else. He kept asking her for information and she eventually gave him a business card 5 minutes later. when it came to assisting me, she couldn't locate my records and I asked her who I could call and she gave me an email. Hearing her talk to that one man was very offputting. read more

I took my car there back in Sept 2019 due to a hollow knocking sound on occasion in the front driver wheel. I was told it needed new shocks and struts - it took about 9 days to rent a car had to rent a car about $ 400.00 bucks and $1800.00 for shocks/struts. Not a couple weeks later the sound is back, I take it back into John who was the Manager at the time that has know been promoted to the regional manager, he tells me they will make it right. I again have to rent a car this time for 14 days. Pick up my car and literally less than 24 hours the sound is back. I call back and speak to Ray who is the new manager, he states there is nothing he can do since i dealt with John. Mind you John told me he would send my car to the dealership if need be. I have called Corporate twice, i was informed my the fairfield location that Corporate contacted them for the background of my vehicle. Today I am calling Corporate one more time and contacting 7 on yourside to see if i can get this taken care of. Im extremely upset with these people and this is NO way to do business. read more

I want to send a shout out for Aegis Auto Repair company's excellent Service and care at the hands of just one of their Mechanical technicians, his name was Christian. This Professional in his Art gave me a totally different perspective on what Human Kindness is really all about. When I tell you: "There's no way I would've made it home to Elk Grove" with my vehicle being in the condition it was. In the 9th hour at the closing of the day, Aegis via team Christian became my Superman, in resolving my auto repair issues. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST place to take your vehicle if you're looking for 1. Good customer service or 2. Trustworthy and reliability. My husband and I brought our car in for a diagnostic only. Mind you, the car was running just fine, but we wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything else that needed fixed after my husband worked on it himself. We got a call that it needed a new engine that would cost $3400.. we found this very hard to believe so we told Ray that we wanted to get a second opinion so we will just come pick it up. The whole time he was very rude and unprofessional, and was basically mad at us for not buying their engine. When we arrived to pick up our vehicle, he told us that it needed a tow truck. ?!?!? A tow? I brought it in running just fine, I only wanted to make sure it didn't need anything else like a battery or something!! What do you mean it's not running. Ray never called to tell us that it needed a tow. We asked him to please put it back in the position we brought it in at. He said NOPE. I'm going to keep this short. We are learning this place with a NON working vehicle, a bad taste in our mouth, my husband is not able to get to and from work as of right now, and just an overall BAD EXPERIENCE. Paying for a tow truck was not part of the agenda, but I'm really making this post to let people know to WATCH who you take your car to. I will not be so trusting next time. read more

I brought two of my cars for an oil change now the skid plates are coming off both of them and they said it wasn't there fault, that I hit something really? What a coincidence on both cars? Wow they said as soon as they got the parts they would call me and they never did please don't come here even if you got a Groupon. They always try to say there's a lot of things wrong with your vehicle at the end so watch out for that like thousands of dollars and they say well if you don't have cash you can apply for our credit wow no thank you! read more

I've brought my cars to be serviced at this location a few times, but I must say that I am disappointed with the service during my last visit. I brought my car in with hopes that they could resolve an issue I have with the car shaking at certain speed limits. Most would assume that this is a wheel balancing issue. They recommended a wheel balancing and then also suggested a spark plug replacement because it was becoming worn. I agreed to have the work done with the assumption that the shaking would be resolved and fix the spark plug before it becomes an obvious problem in the future. When the car was ready two days later, my wife went to do a quick pay and pick it up and sat for 30+ minutes before anyone helped her. No good. Also, the shaking was not resolved and it was clear that no one really tested the vehicle after the wheel balancing. I brought it back and they said that they would have someone to look at it. I received no updates until I called 2 days later and it was clear by the sound of the guy's voice that nothing had been done. He said that they would do another balancing and we can pick it up the next day. Clearly, balancing wasn't the solution, so at the point, I just said "okay" and knew in my mind that they had no real solution. Ultimately, we picked the car up and the original issue has not been resolved as I type this review, but they did manage to get $300 from us for the sparking plug job, which wasn't a necessity. I would not recommend them to ANYONE. read more

As a female going in to get my car serviced I'm usually a good target for guys to try and sell me everything I don't need. I have definitely been treated like I was stupid and had no idea what I was talking about. Any girl going into a shop can relate I'm sure. Well to my delight I came in to get my car serviced and a gentleman named Zack helped me out. What a gem!!! Not only did he treat me like a regular person but he really went above and beyond to help me understand the issues my car was having and the easy fixes that we had to do. This place is a little further out of my way than other meineke's but it's worth the drive for me. Best shop experience ever!!! read more

This place was awesome. We were heading out for a long holiday weekend trip, thinking we were all set to go. But oh no! We discovered we could not check our tire pressure because the tire valve on the tire was messed up. UGH! We were sort of nervous to drive with a possibly low-air tire and didn't know what to do. We called this center and a super friendly guy named Zach answered. He assured us he could help, to just come by. I told him I was sort of in a rush and really wanted to know if there was going to be a wait. He assured me it would be quick. I was skeptical. Well, we showed up and Zach met us at the front desk. He was super friendly and immediately told us he'd take a look at the car. Within 10 minutes he had fixed the tire valve. I was kind of in awe - who walks into a place on a Friday before a holiday weekend and gets instant, friendly service? We asked Zach what we owed him. He refused payment. I literally took out a $20 and tried to put it in his hand and he wouldn't take it. He just asked for a positive Yelp review. Wow. I'm kind of speechless. I thought of Meineke as a random "chain" brand name. I will be noting this location and stopping here again for anything I need done. Talk about earning my business. Amazing service. Great job. Kudos to Zach and the other gentlemen who helped out. Really happy about this experience. Highly recommend. read more

Took my car here a few months ago for an electrical problem. They did a diagnostic. Paid 700 bucks to get the battery and positive battery cable replaced. Still didn't work. Next was the ecm that needed to be replaced. I asked how much. They said 1000. 150 for labor, and the rest for the part, 850. I asked where are u getting the part? They said oreilly auto parts. Older car so the dealership said I had to go aftermarket. I looked on the oreilly website and called them too. How much was the part? $350. They tried to overcharge me on the part by more than double. I promptly had my car towed out of there and fixed elsewhere. Never again, nope! read more

Not recommend to do services with Meineke. I was in rush to make oil change and had an appointment early morning. Oil change took almost two hours. First, they brought my car out of shop and later on they told me they need to check something. 20 minutes later, they gave me a report listed rat least half pages of repair items that estimated cost over $2,500, including spark plugs. I recalled I did spark plugs less than 2 years ago and my annual mileage driving is approximately 18K. Spark plugs normally need to be replaced 75K-100K. I don't trust and believed they tried to cheat customers. read more

Snake oil sellers is what I describe these guys. Had "engine light" come on. I needed an oil change so I decided to have them check the light out for free, according to the commercial. I went there at 9am and was told that it was going to be ready at 4pm, oil change in 7 hours? WOW. I then asked them about having the light checked. They told me that it wasn't free it was a $195 diagnostic job. It was only free if I decide to get the job done by them. I asked him what? He tells me that if the light resets, it's $195 but if there's something wrong with the car and they repair it, they reimburse me back the money. I went to AutoZone, bought their engine decoder for $40, reset my light and returned item. Engine never came back on. read more

I originally went in to this shop because I work next door and get a bit of a discount but I've stayed for their customer service. They greet me, know and address me by name, bring my keys to me when they've been working on my car and I'm at work. They're always friendly. They're honest! My first oil change with them, my oil filter was either put on too tight by the last place (effin Jiffy Lube) or swelled. They came and talked to me about it before proceeding (if they'd just moved forward and tried to remove it, the housing would likely have broken) to tell me about what was going on to give me options on how to deal with it (my dad ended up fixing it) rather than just doing it and telling me about it after. This saved me $60~. Now I'll have to have them check out some stuff going on with my car now :-P read more

The alignment job I went in for was very difficult, since I wanted custom settings instead of "factory spec," and they handled it wonderfully. It was a lot harder of a job, but they still only charged me the basic rate. While the service adviser didn't try to up-sell anything to me, I heard him recommend extra services to other customers that came in. There was no pressure in it, and unlike other places that try to scare you into getting an extra repair, no fear-mongering. But he didn't try to recommend extra services to all the other customers either. So I knew that he wasn't trying to scam an extra buck, and just truly advising the customer what was best for his or her vehicle. In addition to the service adviser being friendly and honest, you'll notice how the waiting room is kept at a very comfortable temperature. There are all sorts of magazines available to read and pass the time away, and the complimentary water and coffee were easy to access. The restroom was also very clean. read more

This place is great! I brought in my Jetta for an oil change, and they notified me that all 4 tires were completed bald. OMG! I forgot to YELP this horrible place because I tried to send complaints to upper levels of the franchise/establishment? Sorry! So, I'd had "okay" experience with this shop doing oil changes; kind of hard to mess that up. Then I ask a "manager" @ timing belt for my Miata and he chats me up @ how he's had several Miatas and knows them well and what he's done with them, etc., etc. SO I made the mistake of taking mine there for Timing Belt replacement. This involves getting into the engine area deep so they recommend replacing OTHER items while you're at it. It cost over $1600 and it's an all day job. I'm there when they open but it's an HOUR before they even pull my car in to work on it! Afterwards, the first thing I notice was that they didn't refill my fluid all the way in my overflow reservoir, much LESS my freakin' radiator! BOO! That's strike #3 for $1600, folks! You replace a water pump, you FILL the NEW one UP! Geez. Now, I've noticed belt slippage which I've NEVER had in a car I've owned...ever. Not a quick fix and given the extensive labor to get to belts in the Miata so I'm probably going to request the NEW, COMPETENT repair shop to please go ahead and fix EVERYTHING done wrong they find along the way to simply tightening belt tensioners, etc. I waited for the majority of the appointment in their run down waiting room which is t-r-a-s-h-e-d! I noticed that for the vast majority of the time I was there, the guy who talked me INTO letting him work on my Miata? He was behind the counter and on the phone! No call to come get the car by 5 PM so I walk back and they said, "Oh it was ready earlier!" but didn't call me. Now, I'm #4 person waiting in line behind other less than satisfied customers trying to reclaim their vehicles and having tons of questions. I literally spent 8.5 hours onsite and another 1.5 hours walking @ to kill time. I now notice why they always seem to be training someone new when I'm there for any reason. I think the retention rate is non-existent and they're desperate for qualified help and will grasp at straws, hiring anyone who can tell them which hole you use to put gas in a car. Lesson learned. MAJORLY unsatisfied. I even avoid the areas of town where Midas stores are... it gets me going all over again. read more

E CAREFUL!! If I could give negative stars, this place deserves it. I've used this place before and had no complaints until I found out this place will rip you off!! John the "Manager" say he can charge up to 300% if he wanted to - "How else is he supposed to make money", he says. He double charged me for an A/C compressor - total job was over a $1,400. Dealership and other auto parts had priced for $500 and less. I brought my car back to find out why my car would power down when I turned on the A/C since they did my repairs. John the Manager says I need a new alternator and belt, quotes me $1,200. He said the part alone was $1,000 and had the nerve to say he found one for $600. I called two part stores and Ford dealership - the alternator at all places was not even $300. Price services and parts before coming here. You're better off going to a dealership if you want pay that kind of money. Don't fall for their PayPal credit either. You get screwed either way. John the manager was very rude. He would not release my car unless I paid $118.00 for who knows what. He did not want to provide me with a number to his General Manager or anybody in management so that I could file a complaint. He said he didn't want to bother them with my issues. This incident took place on 09/22/2018. John the Manager will cost you a lot of customer's if he's not afraid to make it known that Meineke can up charge the parts and services to 300% or more. Very happy with the service of the office staff and mechanics here! My Dad and I have brought several cars here for various reasons and the staff have always been friendly, professional, and hard working. Most recently, I brought my car in because my a/c went out. I have an older car so they had to special order a part. When that part was defective, they ordered another one. When THAT part was defective, they ordered yet another one. They finally got one working (YAY!) and I got my a/c back again! The only issue I had was that one day they said they would call with an update. Well, we waited at home all day for a phone call and it never came. Even if the part hadn't come in or whatever, we would've appreciated a quick call letting us know what was going on. A big thank you to the guys working here. Now I won't feel like I'm dying of heatstroke every time I'm in my car. read more
