He has a horrible attitude and smart remarks. Secondly they rented out our unit because we bought a second unit. We have 16 days left of the month to utilize our unit, but Lorenzo assumed we transferred and closed our unit. We did not cancel our first unit because they do not give you a refund of a unit. So we wanted to utilize that unit, however we went to get a lock and he sold it already and we didn't even have access inside the building. Today my husband confronted him about it and he said he sold the indoor unit because we didn't have a lock but he literally watched us and sold it right then and there. So we contacted smart stop via phone because apparently their managers have hidden information , we have to wait for the DM to call or email us within 2-3 days. We call the 800 number and Monica tried to sell us another unit for a whole month and add 16 days free. So basically SmartStop has our money for that unit for the month and now someone else is paying for a month for that same unit. They also send you a postcard size note in the mail almost quarterly telling you your price is going up. We started that unit at $60 and this month we paid $250for our indoor unit 10x10 only and we purchased an outdoor unit last week for $120 10x20. This company is the worst scam ever . Do not use them. I am paying the price and I am getting a lawyer

If you can relate, we all know moving is stressful and often unpredictable on how much space and storage you have left . I ran into some last changes and called the office, spoke with Scott who was so helpful, accommodating and most of all understanding. I have rented storage space in the past and it was difficult to reach someone. Not at smart stop storage! They truly care about your business and concerns. Everything was confirmed, got a great deal online with the mileage. Got the keys to a nearly brand new full size truck with a hitch. Exactly what we needed for a good price. You upload photos once you get the keys, to highlight the condition of the vehicle before you leave the lot. We bought the insurance. You can never really have too much insurance. Besides, it is peace of mind. We had an issue after hooking up our own trailer, brought it in and it turned out to be the wiring on our own trailer. They quickly helped us, that was great.

    I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent trailer rental and the way the…read moresituation was handled. The trailer ramp was clearly unsafe. The spring tension was extremely stiff, requiring two people to lower it, and even then it would aggressively fly back up. When I lowered the ramp to load my toolbox, it suddenly slammed upward and struck me directly in the jaw. Had my coworker not been there to catch me and assist me, the situation could have been much worse. What disappointed me even more was the response when I returned the trailer and reported what had happened. Rather than showing concern for my well-being or acknowledging the seriousness of the safety issue, the focus seemed to be on collecting payment and completing the transaction. As a long-time customer, I found that response unacceptable. I have rented trailers and moving trucks from U-Haul for approximately seven years and have always trusted your equipment to be safe and properly maintained. This experience has seriously damaged that trust. No customer should have to worry about being injured by faulty equipment, and no customer who reports an injury should feel as though their concerns are being dismissed. I was told the trailer would be sent for repairs, which only reinforces my concern that there was a problem with the equipment. What concerns me most is what could have happened if someone else had rented that trailer. If the ramp had struck an elderly customer, a child, or someone standing in a slightly different position, the injury could have been far more serious. A piece of rental equipment should never pose that kind of risk to customers. I am extremely disappointed by both the condition of the trailer and the lack of concern shown after the incident. I hope this matter is taken seriously, reviewed thoroughly, and used as an opportunity to ensure that equipment is properly inspected and maintained so that another customer is not seriously injured in the future.
