They were insistent and harassing by messages for me to finally pay the $75 for what they claim was the COI. They had asked I pay for a cancellation fee of $100, when I didn't even pay a deposit to confirm the reservation. I can't recommend them because of how they handled this simple cancellation without anything signed.

They worked with me to find a time on very tight time frame and on a very busy moving day. Getting this completed with a reasonable quote was unexpected in a good way. The moving crew was punctual and finished the job under the time estimate. I was happy. Two things that will make your move easier: -Clarify payment method before your moving day. For my move they wanted cash paid to the moving crew the day of the move. Have the cash ready to reduce stress. -If you quote a move for just boxes, have all small items in medium to large boxes that can roll on dollys.

The things we paid to have wrapped that were important were broken by the movers. This was a really terrible and stressful experience. They seemed to have no idea how to move anything, flat screen TV's left balanced against walls on their screens. Mirrors shattered, my couch had a foot sized hole in the bottom of it, a framed picture printed on gallery aluminum was dented and scratched beyond repair. We lost glasses and bowls that were individually wrapped and in divided cardboard boxes with "fragile glass" written on the side. Wine that was marked as wine was balanced 3 boxes high on furniture legs (we managed to save them and put them in a car instead). The worst part was despite these 4 guys being paid by the hour they just kept complaining the whole time. Four big dudes show up and one is super aggressive from the start about the job being too big for them. My 115lb wife could carry every one of those boxes. It was a 4 story 1 bedroom walk up. We had every single item packed in boxes and no oversized furniture. They kept telling us it was a 9 hour job (We were quoted 4.5 hours) and before they would unload the truck they insisted I give them $1800, the original quote was for $750. They ended up finishing after just 5 hours and refused to give any of the money back. The management company would not take our calls on the day and would not return them after. If you want to have guys standing over you and your wife intimidating you, extorting you and breaking your stuff then this is the company for you. They were wiping their sweat with paper towels and toilet paper and dropping it on the floor for us to pick up after. They managed to take multiple breaks to have a shit. Every time we turned around they were sitting down or talking on their phones. They damaged our walls and our stuff. To top it all off when we were quoted the guys at Right Touch kept saying we would have nothing to worry about, they would disassemble and reassemble everything. These guys literally dumped everything in a pile on the floor in the lounge room and left, we had to beg them to carry the mattress up the stairs because I couldn't do that alone. We found some boxes left in the lobby of the new apartment after they left. We were being really nice to them because it was a move on a hot day with stairs, we bought them some water and Gatorade from the bodega and encouraged them to take breaks if they needed but that turned into a break every single time they moved something, even a box of pillows (I'm not kidding). Everything about this was terrible and the management literally wouldn't call us back to offer any explanation and to top it all off they showed up late and at the wrong address. At the end before they walked out they stood over us and made us sign a release saying nothing was broken and insisted that nothing was. As soon as they were out the door we started to find things scratched, smashed and damaged. Comparing this to the last move we did with the same stuff into the same apartment this was night and day. Double the price, so much damage and the attitude was terrible. I took pictures and shared them by email with management and they simply wont respond. We tried to call them during the move but instead they called the movers and told them we were complaining about them which just made it worse. Toni talks and talks when you are getting the quote, he'll tell you all sorts of stories about his dialysis and long term marriage and about what a great company this is but then will lie, not listen and refuse to talk to you. We were happy to pay and happy with the quote by the hour but I simply don't have any clup how this cost $1800 for just over 5 hours work with all those breaks and all that time spent arguing with us about how long it would take. The one star is for how accommodating they were while my belongings were in storage. They allowed me to access my belongings before I left because I had packed something I needed and they allowed my mom to drop off a couple of bags once I had actually moved away. I'm told these were favors as they usually don't allow these things...again though, had I had my own temperature controlled unit, I'd have been able to come and go as I pleased. it could very well be that all of my beef is with the shipping company. But based on the mold smell that still lingers in some of my clothes, it seems like that odor had been creeping in there for months. Full disclosure: My belongings hung out in their holding warehouse for many more months than originally anticipated. At least double the amount of time. When I first spoke them I asked about climate control...you see over the years I had built a collection of clothes and furniture that I care deeply about and I was assured moisture was not an issue and that it always stayed cool in the warehouse. I'm the idiot for believing it. To make things even worse, I had recently purchased my first adult mattress spending a very pretty penny for my quality of sleep; I even did my first payment plan for this mattress! I was not easy to work with, I admit. I had no idea the length of time it would take me to find a suitable dwelling in Oakland, CA. Each month, I'd pay the storage fee and say "not yet". I just figured it was more money in their pocket. Well, fast forward 8 months, I have my new home (finally, it was extremely difficult to find a place with my dog in the Bay Area) and I am ready to get my belongings. Most importantly my mattress. Oh how I had dreamed of that mattress and was looking so forward to getting to sleep on it again (I had JUST finished paying it off a month before I got my things). I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of everything. The wardrobe boxes arrived with an overwhelming stink of mold. The moldy smell still lingers on some of my clothes almost one year later. But, my heart was broken when the guys from the moving company they worked with unwrapped my mattress. I was assured by Supermovers that it was wrapped air tight. Supermovers placed the blame on the company that did the actual delivery and of course they blamed the storage facility it was in.. The mattress was dark brown, green, ugly shades of blue. It looked that mold had been growing for a long, long time. It was completely beyond repair. Picture frames and my desk had scratches, chips and nicks that were not there before. Lamp shades somewhat damaged requiring repair. But oh that mattress. Forget insurance. Mold is one of the only things not covered by renters/property insurance. Omar finally agreed to send me a check for less than a quarter of what the mattress cost. I still get nauseous thinking about it. So, pay the extra for the climate control if you plan on leaving you stuff there. I would hope that a local move within the same city would go smoother with them. At least for their sake. If you are planning a move your things to another state, I'd stay far away from them.

It seemed slightly suspicious at first that they had all 5 star ratings (with language that sounded like it was written by the same person), but I went ahead and called them to book. They were very responsive at first and pushed me to provide credit card information (which I did not give), but after I purchased the Groupon separately, they were completely unresponsive to email or calls. I left almost 15 voicemails to no avail over a week. After reading other "real" people's reviews, I am ashamed to say that this company sounds like at best a shoddy business, and at worst, a straight out scam that takes your payment information. There was food and drink for everyone, tea, juice, nachos, meat on a stick, hamburgers, hot dogs, and Mister Softee ice cream. The Freeport Fire Department flag raising before bell time was a great addition. You could feel how much work all the vendors and businesses put into this. So glad we got to support such a wonderful cause too, Tunnel2Towers does incredible work, and knowing our afternoon of fun also gave back made it even more special. I hired My Real Move for a local 20mile move within NJ for a single family house. These guys found me on Thumbtack and were very responsive during the booking process and answered all my questions. I had to list my entire inventory manifest, down to boxes and lamps, etc and was charged accordingly based on assumed cubic sq ft required, but in hindsight, felt totally unnecessary as the movers clearly didn't stick to this list and were moving everything in sight, including things we didn't want or expect, and left things behind that were included in the inventory. They showed up 45min late (which was only communicated after the scheduled start time via email) and completed the job in under 6 hours. They were definitely fast, but the entire move process felt chaotic and rushed. My husband and I have a newborn and couldn't keep as close of an eye on the move as we would have liked. Ultimately, while fast, they rushed the job and left boxes in wrong areas of the house (I.e, bedroom boxes were left downstairs, etc) and left a daybed disassembled that we now have to take care of ourselves. We didn't realize any of this until after they had already packed up and left unfortunately. Three stars for the fact that the movers were nice and hard working, and the ease of booking the job. We received a quote prior to booking and you would expect to pay the price quoted, but not with the individuals we worked with today! It was a man with long hair and glasses, when I started the day he states there was no boxes on the list, I understand that if there was a mistake. But if you are a moving company I'm pretty sure you're paid to haul boxes. He stated that he's not taking it, unless I make a deal with him. On the spot he said $200 for 8 boxes and he only takes 20% tip. I was confused how he came up with the number, he did not speak to a higher up or anything. Claimed that we would be on our own if we didn't give him the money + the tip he enforced. He managed to take the money and continued to high five me and attempt to hug me without a mask being on. I knew it was suspicious cause the minute he took the money, he split it with his buddy. No boss or anyone approved of it. I attempted to call the company for Alexandra who gave me the quote, but he got upset and kept deviating my conversations whenever I was on the phone with someone else. I tried talking to the boss, Ved when he dialed him but they spoke themselves without letting me speak. Disgusting behavior from a grown man. Later on at the actual move they attempted to take more money from my girlfriend just for moving it in their truck. I called her to ask why they were demanding $200 from a trip from Jersey City to Hackensack which is a 28 min drive. My girlfriend decided to call her older sister who was helping us with the move. Then she said she would deal with it, and they said they would not reassemble any of the furniture since we were not giving them money. Even though it was guaranteed to be reassembled. We ended it up reassembling it ourselves. Overall would not recommend this company or at least the two guys who work there cause a move within New Jersey came out to almost a grand! Stay away especially if you get the man with the long hair and glasses! They don't follow Covid regulations and work without a mask!
