Terrific service. Dave came quickly after my call, diagnosed the problem with our Pioneer plasma TV, gave me a reasonable quote for the work, and performed the work carefully and professionally. It was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Advanced TV based on my experience. read more

Terrible service. I called the place a few times. The owner/tech finally called back and spoke to him. He said to send him all the details of the TV via text. I texted everything to him with a follow-up or response. I will not recommend this guy. #NotAdvancedAnything read more

Dave did a great job fixing our flatscreen TV. Came out literally a couple hours after I called him and diagnosed the problem. Took the TV back to his shop and had it back the next morning working as good as new! Saved me from having to shell out $$$$ to get a new TV! read more

Dave was very responsive and knowledgeable. He came out when he said he would and explained everything he was doing. When the TV couldn't be fixed, he gave us recommendations for a new one. We will use him again if we ever need to (but hopefully we don't for a while! ) read more

Fast, friendy, responsive and affordable. My 13 year old plasma, yes plasma, TV was having issues. David came out the day after I called and repaired the television after troubleshooting the problem to a flaky capacitor replacing it from his car stock. I can not recommend him enough. In a world of disposable electronics it is refreshing to see that in home service is still available. Especially since plasma TVs are not. read more

Dave was very quick. I called and he came out within 2 hours to my home. My 65-inch Samsung HDTV was going on and off with no picture. I thought I would be out a TV. Within 25 minutes Dave found and fixed the problem. I paid $160.00 which I think is a little steep for the amount of time but all and all I'm satisfied. I'm happy I do not need a new TV as that would be $600-$700! I would definitely call Dave again. read more

I called to ask about fixing a cracked screen on a flat screen TV, in a matter of 20 seconds the replies were "I can't help you with that, they don't make screens to replace that. I can't help you with that" in a non-friendly customer service tone. After I called another local shop, and the representative was cordial, friendly and more into having a pleasant conversation with a potential customer. For Advanced, might not be a bad idea to be personable with potential customers asking a simple question or put the information on your store website besides Yelp about not servicing cracked screens if you'd like to avoid getting that question on the phone. read more

Advanced TV is the real deal. If you're having issues with your TV, you have no choice but to get in touch with David. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and fair. Informed me of what he was doing, and even showed me the parts that were at fault. He went out of his way to ensure the job was done perfectly. Within two days of reaching out, I have a mint TV back in the house. read more

I called David as my TV was not turning on Thursday 9/23. He came and opened it up on 9/24 and he said that he thinks it could either be the back lights or the boards, he was able to look up parts online and said that he should be able to fix it but will give us a quote before ordering the parts. He took the TV to his shop and texted me back on 9/27 saying that it was indeed the LED lights and he gave me the option of either replacing only the damaged ones or replacing the full set as the LED color was bluish which could affect the quality of the image. I opted for replacing the full set which he initially quoted me as 240$ and I was happy to pay that, definitely beats having to buy a new TV. David Ordered the parts and installed them and Delivered the TV today 10/4 and told me I had to pay only 190$. Overall it was a great experience he is very efficient, transparent and very easy to work with. I would 100% recommend David to any of my friends / family. read more

The owner created a very unpleasant experience. I sent my TV to this repair shop to fix some minor issue. When I got the TV back the TV Screen became defective and started smoking and sparking. You can imagine how upset I am with this situation. Instead of calming the situation, David gave me a call and started yelling at me. Saying it was unreasonable and rude to blame this defect on him. How ridiculous! I should be the one angry and shouting but yet David let his emotions took over. Although I was able to get the full refund back, the unprofessional customer service was just not acceptable. It seems like David yelling at people is not an uncommon situation. read more

When my TV went black shortly after the 3 year warranty expired I called the manufacturer who walked me through many troubleshooting steps which did not fix the problem. I figured it couldn't be repaired but would call someone anyway. In today's throwaway society, I bought a new TV which seemed like a waste, so I did not unpack it from the box and got ahold of David at Advanced TV. He came out to the house (house calls!), diagnosed the problem as being a blown backlight, took the TV, and returned it the next day, fixed for less than half the cost of the new TV. I returned the new TV. Advanced TV gets my highest recommendation...a very positive experience. read more

Here is my review of Advanced TV, when I called the phone number, a very rude person with not good manner answered like having a bad day or so. I did not proceed with my questions about his services, and phone the way he responded, I had to run, and say thank you!! read more

I purchased a 55" Insignia TV a little over two years ago, and last week while watching TV it just turned off. My heart sank. I watched a number of YouTube videos to see what the problem could be and decided that it was probably best left to a professional. I was worried that it would take a long time to fix, be a hassle to transport the TV somewhere, and would cost me a fortune. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. I called Dave and he arranged to stop by my place the following afternoon for a nominal consultation fee. He immediately identified the problem and quoted me a very reasonable price to take the TV back to his shop and repair it. If it worked, I just pay the fee; otherwise he'd dispose of the TV and I'd just be out my consultation fee (but would have the peace of mind knowing there was nothing I could do to fix it). The following business day, Dave let me know he was able to fix the TV and delivered it back to me that afternoon. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and reasonably priced. I would recommend him to others in need of TV repair. read more

Dave at Advanced TV is terrific! He was incredibly responsive and called me back within 10 minutes. We discussed the issue over the phone, and was he was on-time and called ahead for prior notice. He immediately diagnosed the issue, and didn't have the right part with him, so he took my enormous TV with him, fixed it and had it back at my house, on my TV arm and completely dusted off within 3 hours. My sons thought he was a God, since they were distressed about not be able to watch the Celtics on the big screen. Thank you, Dave. Excellent customer service and reasonable priced! Would highly recommend Dave and his services. read more

Dave was great! Got back to me very quickly and came the same day. Kept in touch with me after he took it in to be serviced letting me know exactly what the problem could be. He tried everything he could, but the TV just ended up being a lemon. But Dave was great, tried all he could - super nice, very helpful. Even recycled it for us. read more

After dealing with Frigidaire warranty service for over a month, I finally had advanced TV come to my apartment and fix my 25,000 BTU air conditioner. He did a great job. No drama. My AC works again. He is the best. read more

I was 100% happy with Advanced TV. Dave responded promptly, and explained exactly what was needed. He also replaced transistors instead of the entire circuit board which other places said they would need to do. Really kept the cost down. He helped me the next day by phone with another problem and later the same day helped me with my remote. Both for no charge. He's competent, reasonably priced, and a really nice guy. read more

Our plasma TV started acting up over the weekend. Advanced TV Repair came today, replaced a board and voila! The TV is as good as new. Very prompt, safe (wearing a mask) and courteous service. read more

Way exceeded expectations! Called at 5:00 pm, closing time, and left a message that our 55" wall-mounted TV was unresponsive. Got a call back from Dave at 8:45 this morning. We had a full, and confidence inspiring, discussion of symptoms, diagnosis, likely fix, less likely fix, and costs--and an appointment for this afternoon. [Fainted from surprise.] Dave appeared, a little earlier than promised; he'd brought the parts for the most likely fix. It didn't go exactly as expected, as he had to rebuild a circuit board--rather than take the TV back to Belmont he was able to work on the board in our living room. All fixed; costs as promised ($275 all in); living room fully respected--I literally can't imagine how this service could have been better or more responsive. And for context: after leaving the message for Dave, I called the Geek Squad--best they could do was an appointment five days from today; their diagnostic fee is $95 and they charge another $95 if they have to take your set off the wall. read more

We called Dave when our 12-year old TV failed (the imaged bleached -- screen went white with a faint negative image). Dave was here in less than a hour, diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes (a burnt out chip), took the TV away and returned the next morning with a working TV (chip replaced). We couldn't conceive of a faster better service. Thank you Dave! read more

If you have any issues with your tv, David is the man! I have an outdoor tv, so when something goes wrong, it would be a nightmare. Not with Dave, he is my go to guy from now on. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and always on time. My tv is fixed within 24 hours or less. I wouldn't trust my tv with anyone but Dave! read more

Trying to get a good deal, I bid on and won a TV off Ebay. It seemed to work perfectly fine for about a week, but then I started getting a weird flicker as well as patterns of random colors on the screen. I called David and he came by to take a look. He normally charges $40 to come over and make a diagnosis. While at my house, he was very polite and seemed knowledgeable in his craft. He said something about my controller board cables being dirty. He opened the TV and cleaned the two cables with rubbing alcohol, which seemed to fix the problem. He charged me a total of $100 to clean the cables and said if that doesn't fix the problem, it is the controller board itself. He said that he would come back and install the board for no additional charge (just the cost of the board) since I just paid him $100. A few days later, I started to have the same issue as before. I called David, but got his voicemail every time. Over the course of the next two weeks, I left him several messages explaining the situation and asking if he could find the time to come back and try again. He never got back to me. After a few weeks went by, I called him on my girlfriend's phone and he picked up almost immediately. I told him who I was and he said he was "still checking into it", that he "hadn't forgotten" and that he would call me back in the next day or two. I have since called him back on several occasions and he has not picked up. It has been 6 weeks now and I am going to use a different service--unfortunately for me, I was stiffed the $100. He seemed knowledgeable enough I suppose, but there isn't much customer service on his end. I essentially gave him $100 and my TV is just as broken as it was before he arrived. He wouldn't answer my calls and never tried to communicate back. read more

As good as it gets indeed. David was able to work around my schedule and come to my home to assess the damage on my TV. He always promptly responded to my phone calls and emails with questions I had even before he saw the TV. I would highly recommend Advanced TV Service and will be using him in the future. Hopefully i wont ever have to! No offense, David! read more

Early generation Panasonic 55", Dave responded immediately to my voicemail, picked up the set and returned it promptly. He was very honest about potential options, stating he'd do what he could but any more extensive repair would likely mean buying a new set. I very much appreciated his prompt attention and integrity. The set is working at this point and for a very fair cost. Thanks, Dave! read more

I first called another TV repair service that was highly rated on Yelp. Left a message, did not get a call back, and called again, managing finally to speak to someone. I was told we'd get a call back about a time for a service call but it never came. I next called Dave at Advanced TV Service. What can I say? Within two days our Panasonic plasma TV was fixed and ready to go! Dave is courteous, efficient, and very knowledgable. As soon as I described the symptoms, he knew what questions to ask and pinpointed the problem. His charges were entirely reasonable, too. Glad to be back watching the Patriots on our large screen TV instead of a small screen! I recommend this business very highly! read more

I called David with my sudden TV issue yesterday, and he arrived at my house within the hour. He analyzed the problem, replaced and rebuilt the power supply board, tested it and successfully fixed the issue within a half hour. Suffice it to say, I would 100% recommend David - he is professional, knowledgeable and skilled at servicing and fixing televisions. I am most grateful and will recommend him to all my friends. Thanks, David! read more

After returning from a two week vacation, I discovered the tv in my bedroom did not work. I knew I had to use the tv remote but I only made things worse! It was a Saturday night and I had to wait for Monday morning. I called then and spoke with David, a magician when it comes to repairing tv's. He's come to my home in the past to repair one tv or another. Luckily, he was just leaving to pick up a tv in Sudbury then he'd be able to stop by my house. Less than an hour later he was at my house. Three minutes after looking behind my tv and at the cable box, he had the tv working! Yes! He asked for electrical tape and taped a wire that had gotten loose somewhere. Voila! I consider that magic. David is THE BEST! I cannot recommend him enough. read more

My main TV (a 46 inch LCD) suddenly stopped turning on properly after 6 years of use, and Microcenter sent me over to Dave, since Microcenter doesn't repair TVs/monitors. I was really worried that it was dead for good, which was terrible since this thing still costs a few grand (it wasn't a standard consumer-grade TV you'll find at a normal store), and I didn't want to lose it. Dave ran a diagnostic, felt like it was repairable, ordered the parts, and got the work done! He was very easy to deal with, and when I got the TV back, it worked just like new again! Price was completely reasonable, as was the time it takes. If you have a good TV go bad, definitely have Dave run the diagnostic and at least take a look at it. It will be in good hands. read more

A 2011 42" plasma TV was giving us problems, not turning on and flashing the power light 14 times. Dave charged $60 to come look at it, thought it was the HDMI board, and took it with him. Back in a day or two, plugged it in, worked fine, charged an additional $140. The next day, back to the same problem, then couldn't get it turned on or off by any of two remotes or on the set itself. Dave called me over the weekend while away, picked it up early Monday. Determined it was the main power board, which was mysteriously corroded as if it had gotten wet (it hadn't). He replaced it, made a time to come by, showed up on time (he's good about that), plugged it in, and all is now fine. AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Great great service, Dave. Thanks so much. Glad to be in your neighborhood! read more

I called and he came out the same day to fix my tv. I thought the problem was one thing, but he knew the problem was something else as soon as I described the symptoms and he knew the tv brand and model.
