Nice office and staff. Practice is procedure driven. I wish they would have thoroughly reviewed my pre appointment questionnaire and canceled my appointment, as they were unable to help me. My medication,Oxy, and the dosage presented a conflict as well. Request to lower/change med/dosage wasn't acceptable. I've had as many procedures as the docs have come up over the years. Most fail, cause more problems or don't last. I asked what else I could do...the recommendation was " try Ibuprofen or Tylenol". Hmm, that sounds like an "awesome" suggestion. I have been a patient at this practice for over 5 years and the staff have always been very professional and continue with an outstanding experience. At times I'm disappointed when someone leaves the practice, but the replacement seems to be an seamless transition! The exception is Sara, I miss her! It can be busy and sometimes the wait can seem long, but the practice is fast paced and patience is recommended. I've been a patient of this practice for over 20 years. Lately, I've been having difficulty in filling my prescriptions as the pharmacy it was sent to was out of stock of all of my meds This required me to call to the Surprise office to get my prescription sent elsewhere as pharmacies can't send a controlled substance prescription to other pharmacies. Trying to fill my prescriptions was a nightmare due to pharmacies being out of stock. This went on for 2 days. The last (and fourth time actually speaking to someone) I was put on hold after a brief conversation with the nurse, Brianne. She was supposed to come back on the line but instead, the front office receptionist came on and announced to me that I was no longer a patient at their practice as she had talked to a doctor there (whom I never met and can't recall his name) and they could no longer treat me. I was dumbfounded . Not only have I always been a good patient, it seemed unfathomable that a receptionist could just take it upon herself to terminate my care by speaking to a doctor that I've never met! My provider (Michelle Hale) had left on the vacation when all this occurred and I'm certain she would not have treated me this way. I'm in the middle of multiple surgeries and now have to try and find a new pain management practice because I couldn't fill my prescriptions through no fault of my own! I can't believe the lack of concern for me, a long time patient, as well as they abrupt and rude way the receptionist announced to me over the phone that she had taken it upon herself to terminate my being a patient! When I tried to talk to her and asked her why I was being told I was no longer a patient due to no fault of my own, she was very rude and told me she had to go etc and then hung up on me! Went in for scheduled appointment and was told to be there 15-30 early. When I arrived I sat in a large waiting room with one other person. Thinking it was slow I was hopeful I would be seen on time or maybe even before. 30 minutes after the appointment and waiting already that long they called me back only to inform me that if it takes a hike they haven't forgotten about me but just busy. Finally after waiting for 1 hour 30 minutes the doctor walks in and spends a whole two minutes telling me I need to go get an X-ray and MRI. No pain relief no help and no care. I explained I've been in pain and have seen a chiropractor, PT, and been doing stretching and working out daily. Fast forward to today waiting for 3 weeks only to find out he never sent the info over to insurance or asked to receive it so I can get insurance to pay for MRI. So now my appointment I've waiting for 12 days I can't even go too. Called the office only to have the girl say she had to reach out to my doctor to get them to fax info over so they can go to insurance and this could take 5 days! Forgot to mention I was flying to New York and he said he would give me some meds to help with inflammation. I went to CVS only to find out they were never sent. I explained I was leaving out of town on flight and needed it that day. Had to send him message and he sent it over the next morning, and I waited at CVS and almost was late for flight. I'm sorry but there is no way these reviews can be real if this is how people are treated. Now I've been on the phone all morning with insurance only for them to say they are waiting on advance pain to send over what is needed so I can get what I need. The healthcare industry is so wrong. The staff at advanced pain management is incompetent and is indifferent to their patients. They schedule a two part procedure for me, and only bothered to submit the first part to my insurance. On the day of the second procedure, I arrived only to find they had cancelled my appointment because insurance had not yet approved it, because they had not yet submitted it. So I got it reschedule for 3 days later at which time they still had not gotten approval from my insurance so I paid it myself. The procedure was approved the same day. It has been about a month and I still can't get a refund from these incompetent people. Stay away. You are better off talking to a wall. read more

This Chandler office has a policy of no dozing allowed in the waiting room. Seriously. I am 70 years old and will sometimes nod off from the meds I take, and respond immediately when called. At first I thought she was kidding when receptionist Alyshia walked by, called my name, and ordered me to wake up. Two more times followed within a few minutes. She was not kidding. My NP Leslie was excellent and professional. Leaving a message with the receptionist for her was never successful, so I faxed a message to Leslie explaining that I would check-in by phone from the parking lot for my next appointment, and come inside when called. I asked for a reply. There was none, so I re-sent the fax once a day for 6 days. Leslie's assistant then called to tell me I was discharged for "abusing the staff." She claimed I sent 6 faxes in one day which to me sounds like Alyshia did not deliver them, but held them and allowed it to appear as if they had all come in one day. "How did you get our fax number? (Angry) We don't give out our fax number to patients!" Leslie had given me the number so I could provide some VA records information. It is also easily found with a Google search. Of course, I do not recommend this clinic. read more

This Entity has failed in multiple way's. Basic Standards of care practices not met. DRs giving an ultimatum on giving pain RX if scheduled for a procedure. Provider's who won't Listen whatsoever, looking at old medical records, when they're are a plethora of new that would change care plan they had sought. Negligence in saying that my knee and everything else was just arthritis. When I have a significant rare complex neurological case that doesn't clear me for any interventional procedures unless done by Barrow's. Negligence, Dismissal, Unethical practices and more. This has required me to have to do a formal complaint because of the chaotic, unethical practices. There's only one Dr I'd see there. Dr Delatte. He's everything the other provider's are not. The program manager attempted to fix some of this issues with the other provider's as well as incidents that occurred. She's at least advocating for the patient as well. The rest of the many people I've seen I would never Refer to, nor tell to go here unless it was specifically Dr Delatte. What this entity has done is not only negligent, but unacceptable. Now I have to have R knee surgery for effusion and other injuries done by falling. Multiple provider's dismissed this along with my other serious issues. Definitely be aware. Advocate! Don't accept this unethical, horrible treatment from anyone. I know patient rights! read more

They have no respect for your time and will keep you waiting for hours if you let them. This office in Tucson is about 6 by 6, very small, they squeeze people in there, and it really looks like a meth clinic. People are waiting outside to get in. Disgraceful. This is not a place for everyone but i guess it depends on you. Here if you want them to help you! You have to get injection. This place will not help you unless you get the injections that they offer. They say they manage but I don't know how injecting people or forcing people to get injection is helping. There are a lot more ways to help people and manage their pain other than injections. I did my research in come to find out these injections are not that healthy. They don't even educate you on what they are trying to inject into your body just give you a paper that you have to ask for and direct you to google but I asked professionals and a lot of them are not fund of these chemicals that they use to inject you with. They can cause a lot of issues. To help would be to help find a long-term solution that actually helps they don't do that they just direct you to get injections all answers to everyone's pain is injections. How is that? Everyone situation is not the same! If you don't get the injections, you will be asked to not return so keep that in mind. Where to start..... I am somewhat appalled right this second to be perfectly honest. 5 months ago I got an injection in my neck to relieve pain from a pinched nerve. Worked phenomenally within a couple hours and got months of relief, ... and was aware this was not a permanent solution. Made another appointment early Jan for the same injection...but this time no change/relief within hours.... days.... weeks. I called their office 2 weeks ago and left a voicemail outlining my concern that maybe this time the doctor missed the spot,.... or maybe used less of the medicine. No return call. Called a few days later and had to leave a similar respectful message........... no return call. Finally after another few days of waiting I called several times in a row to get someone on the phone. Explained my situation and they advised best option is to come explain myself to the doctor. So I scheduled an appointment ( today 1:30 ) and had my girlfriend also take her time out in case the doctor was going to inject me again and I needed a ride home. Not only was this not offered......... but the front desk gal advised that todays appointment was subject to a $155 fee. ??????? Come Again?????? If I ordered a Filet Mignon .....and a hamburger was brought out to the table........ would I need to pay $155 to advise that the order was wrong. If I take my wrinkled clothes to the Dry Cleaners........and they are returned to me as wrinkled as I brought them in........... Not only would I expect them to be redone.......... but I would CERTAINLY NOT pay a fee to explain that they had failed in the execution of their end of our agreement. As a business owner.... I am aware that despite most times hitting the ball out of the park........occasionally you whiff and have a less satisfied client/customer. THIS IS WHEN you have the opportunity to show your customer service. Advanced Pain Management has 9 locations valley-wide!! With the primary doctor being Dr. Brian Page who is absolutely AMAZING. I wrote my review on the Dr. Brian Page company so I will mostly just copy and paste but tweak s few things to this particular location since I have also gone to the other location by Metro-center. Professional and knowledgeable staff that help with the treatment and management of pain. Love this office. They don't tolerate drug seekers and they drug test you upon medication request. They have been helpful with pain relief options for my chronic lower back (tailbone) pain. I am so happy to have been referred here. If you are looking for a doctor to just give you pain pills and send you on your merry way then this is NOT the place for you. As stated you will be drug tested regularly. This is a LEGITIMATE PAIN MANAGEMENT CENTER!! Trigger point injections, Lumbar facet injections, SI Injections, and nerve burns all done at office. It's so important to me that the only option isn't just pain meds!! My provider has been helpful finding a treatment plan that works to manage my pain. Tip: DO NOT EVER BE LATE. I was a patient for several years. After Elizabeth Coleman left, I no longer felt comfortable. The doctor will not tolerate it if you don't have procedures. I have an incurable illness and I no longer wanted procedures that do not help or cause more issues. They claim they want to get people off of pain meds which is not even close to true. I now have an amazing pain doctor that listens to his patients and is extremely kind. I had no idea the difference that could make. Dr. Page retired shortly after I left. If you want to pay copays to see nurse practitioners, this is the place for you. Dr. Page made it abundantly clear he is not interested in seeing patients for routine appointments. If you have any real questions, the nurse practitioners are more than happy to suggest you schedule another appointment with another copay to actually see the doctor. Last visit, the nurse practitioner tried to push spinal injections on me even though my neurosurgeon said I should not have them. She even went so far as offering a ten day supply of pain meds until I could reschedule (another copay) with Dr. Page. She refused to refill my meds for my usual 30 day supply. Oh yes, if you want to be treated like a convict and get piss tested, this is the place for you. I have never been treated in such a degrading manner. I recently moved to Arizona from California and the for me the biggest culture shock has come from the medical field. I came from Kaiser Permanente which is a fabulous HMO to Anthem Blue Cross PPO. I am so used to having every doctor and specialist I needed in one place. I just went to the Glendale location for a follow-up with a nurse. I was told that if I wanted to see the nurse I had to have a urine sample taken. I was not looking for more medication but I did have questions for the nurse. They took a urine sample 2 months ago, for which I have been billed $205.80. I cannot afford to pay that amount every 2 months. I was told they needed a urine sample every 6 months. I can understand that they might want a sample more frequently if I was looking for medication but I was not. I find it appalling that when I said I could not afford another test, they told me that I would not be seen. If you want to see a Pain Management provider, I suggest you see one that cares more about its patients. read more

I have family member that is a patient here I take him or her all the time and I wait in the waiting room the receptionist is either not at her desk or on personal phone calls and when she is at her desk and dealing with patients she is rude when she talks to them (with attitude) doesn't make eye contact etc... I have now witnessed this several times it ridiculous when a patient goes to this kind of doctor they don't feel good they should not have to deal with RUDE staff too or feel like they are there for the wrong reasons!!! This place is DANGEROUS, but with Dr. Page being an Osteopath I cannot report him to the medical board because they do not regulate DOs. My blood pressure was 170 over 140. I was ask if it was normally that high. It never had been. Then they blamed it on "Faulty equipment". I know how to use a sphygmomanometer, and a stethoscope and my blood pressure was indeed that high. Then on another visit I showed up to find people looking into a dark office with locked doors. So much of their staff called in sick during the Covid19 pandemic in May they closed the office down, but had never alerted any of the patients they had closed for the day. THESE MORONS ARE DANGEROUS! To think someone who does NOT advise someone who is in danger of having a stroke to seek other medical care is prescribing opioids is an absolutely terrifying thought, but that is EXACTLY what these idiots are doing here. The cleanliness of the office was was poor at best, and the surgical center for injections was also laughably horrific, especially during a pandemic. There was one other pain management that was even worse, with a stack of stinking piss drenched specamine bottles sitting on piss soaked napkins inside a passthrough between the lavatory and the lab collection room. THEY WILL BE GETTING REPORTED TO THE MEDICAL BOARD! Those are MDs, and they are under the scrutiny of The Arizona Medical board, unlike DOs. Advanced was almost as disgusting, and they exceeded the other clinic for being disorganized money grubbing jerks with less than ZERO concern for the health of their patients. When someone has a BP of 170 over 140 you send them to the emergency room, A.S.A.P. , BEFORE they have a stroke! When I ask one of the doctor's, he blamed the equipment, again. When your $49 Walgreens BP cuff gives readings like that, YOU DOUBLE CHECK IT, using an old fashioned sphygmomanometer, a stopwatch and a stethoscope, and record ALL OF THOSE results, pulse rate, BP, respiration rate, and send the patient go to seek REAL MEDICAL CARE, with those numbers in hand, not make excuses about your dime store equipment. Whatever it is they call "medical care" there, falls so short of the lowest standards that I wouldn't let these idiots euthanize a rabid dog for me. It gets better yet. I complained of LOWER back pain, so Dr Page requested an MRI of my thoracic spine. I felt like an idiot walking into other clinics with that MRI. Who has a medical degree and is that stupid? Lower back is generally diagnosed with a LUMBAR MRI. WTF? Neck pain is a CERVICAL MRI. If you do a thoracic MRI you also do the lumbar MRI too. I am just an industrial electrician with experience working in hospitals on medical imaging equipment, but I know basic anatomy better than these twits do. I did 7 urine drug tests in under 10 days, as if I was some sort of a pill seeking junkie, and these a'holes cannot even ask for the right MRIs?? That was a monumental waste of my time & my money. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. They used some off the wall no name imaging place that NO ONE can get images online from so I had to drive back out and get copies of my MRI images at $15 a copy. As much as I dislike Simon, at least they will give me 100 copies of my MRIs for FREE, and any REAL doctor can get their reports and the images ONLINE. I don't mind being drug tested but 7x in 10 days? That's just running up the bill. My previous pain management found out this was a waste of time with me, and I did 2 or 3 drug tests per YEAR, and they tested for EVERYTHING, including metabolites of the drugs you are supposed to be taking, drugs you are not supposed to take as well as OTC drugs, alcohol & nicotine. I quit drinking in 1990 when I hurt my back and quit smoking in 2012. They were really on the ball there. They were open at 8:00 AM and didn't close until 5:30 PM, and no closing up shop without any notice. This place is a total joke. I was speechless to see the doors locked and people standing around in the 117 degree heat calling the office on the cell phones to find out what was going on. I had a very nice experience here. I was greeted promptly upon arrival and they were right on time. It is a clean environment in a nice Glendale business park. They communicated the requirement I must receive injections prior to booking the appointment and reiterated first thing when I was brought back. That messaging is very well communicated. There was no pressure whatsoever for an injection and we had an intelligent conversation on some of the options. The person who saw me was professional and kind, listened very well and provided answers and suggestions. I stated my goals and was 100% upfront about how I was managing my pain. It was a very interactive experience, which I appreciate. Their policies do not support MMJ use for pain, hence 4-Stars. Patients who balance between pain medicines to avoid becoming addicted to full-time opiates might as well know this upfront. For some, MMJ can substitute for up to 1/3 of opiate ingestion. Hopefully someday there will be more research to support a multi-layered approach to pain management that includes MMJ. I'll get off my soapbox now... I'm happily going back in 4 weeks, after I speak to my specialist about other potential options. read more

The NP are nice but the Dr and procedure staff are rude. The Dr always call to have you come in early and if you can't come in before your scheduled appointment they cancel because they don't want to stay. Even coming in early you still wait to be seen and just wait anyways but your appointment won't get cancelled. The NP's know this is an issue but nothing they can do because the Dr owns the practice. The office staff at the Chandler office are beyond rude and don't care are the patient or there time. Sad that the Dr and staff don't care about the patients. read more

I like some things about this office-Dr. Page seems nice, however, you only get to meet with a Nurse at this office. I am not new to Pain Management. I find the front desk very uninterested and uninformative. I have never received a follow up call after an injection or even handed post op instructions. NO PRIVACY WAITING OR AFTER PROCEDURE-They offer no drink after injection or even a wheelchair to car-I felt woosie like I could fall yesterday after sedation and they could care less-don't let door hit you in the *** on the way out. I will finish up treatment here - but will search out something better for down the road. Overall- the Surgery Staff is on top of things but the rest of the office falls short on a lot of things! read more

I was shocked at how easy and stress free my visit was with Dr. Kelly PA. She was amazing. Julie at the desk was amazing and I didn't feel dirty going there as I did when I went to Pain Center of AZ. Hi everyone, I am very sad to leave this review but it needs to be done. I go into APM for injections into my neck (very serious) and without them..i am in a lot of pain. I have a round of three shots, two weeks apart, every year or two. My first injection went fine except i was given morphine and it makes me very sick. I told this place last year (during my very first appointment/injection) and it should be in my file but apparently...you have to tell them again. Upon arriving for my second shot (two weeks later) I was taken into a room to have my IV placed in. The problem was the man next to me was having a medical emergency. The doctor came in to talk to him and i noticed the doctor was not the same one as before. EMT was now rushing in to check him out. I am now being rushed out and placed into another room for my IV as I am the next patient. I was not told coming into the office that the doctor had changed and someone new was going to be doing my procedure. I was asked to go into the waiting room and called back up to the front desk after a minute or so. The lady at the front desk told me, the new doctor was not comfortable doing my procedure and was going to change it....which would need prior pre authorization from my insurance company. WHAT? This place took my IV out and sent me out the door without my second injection. I am actually glad this place made me leave. I don't want my doctor changed without my knowledge as i have a serious procedure done on my spine (neck). I also don't want someone working on me who is not comfortable performing their job. I ESPECIALLY don't want someone changing my procedure without a valid reason. Lets not forget the man who had a medical emergency after his procedure. I have not even received a call from this place in regards to my second shot or this incident. I will not be returning to this place and I would recommend you not either as this new doctor sucks!!! and so does their customer service. read more

must read before going here!!! advanced pain management is a huge disappointment to the healthcare industry the nurse susan bailey is a fraud as she continued to bill my insurance for things that she did not do seeing as i was no longer a patient of hers. i went in today for my appointment and she claimed that 4 months ago...yes, four...i tested positive for cocaine, see i have more than one problem with this if it showed up four months ago yet you didnt say anything and kept prescribing till this day...what does that say about susan bailey? that she will turn the other way when she wants to but the month i come back after i self discharged myself to save themselves from looking bad she discharges me. i had to call and make an appointment yesterday because the medical assistant who is mentally not capable of figuring out when two weeks is not three to make a follow up appointment i called to let them know they made my appointment a week after i would be due for refills and i was told they could prescribe me detox medications for something that was their fault. and i was forced to sign the discharge paper otherwise there were consequences. i am ashamed to say i am in the medical field where there are people like susan bailey working and scamming insurance and patients. as far as susan bailey goes i will be reporting her to the medical board for the things she did that are too graphic for a yelp posting.go here at your own risk! susan bailey is nothing more than a glorified drug dealer she chooses when she will see you and if you ask questions that she doesnt like...well..beware!! read more

After my first 2 visits to Advanced Pain Management at the 51st Ave location, I am glad our follow-up appointments are at the Surprise location with Dr. C. Hopefully staff there will be more caring and compassionate about my husband's pain issues. Staff is very rude including the PA we saw today who would not let me finish a statement without asking a question. She did not care at all about why we were there and I finally had to call her on it; asked if she was going to let me finish a statement or just keeping interrupting me. (Was 2 seconds away from walking out of this office). The kindest person working at this location is the Lab Corp representative. I will report back after we go see Dr. C. at the Surprise location. If the trend of uncaring staff continues, we will be changing our pain management physician for sure. They really treat you as if you are pain pill shopping and not looking for care. Worst pain management ever. Their only concern is completing unnecessary, overpriced injections that make things worse. I had been going there for 6 months and never saw an actual licensed medical doctor, despite my request to do so. There is information in my "narrative" that is completely false. Such as, I refused physical therapy. Well, I was never offered physical therapy or else I would have taken it. The front office staff are rude, behaving as if I am bothering them with my cash payment of $155 a month. Pain management is the only place where you pay an exorbitant amount of money to be treated like dirt. I have been to 3 different locations and experienced the same level of service, with the exception of Chandler. The woman there was very nice. Even when I call in for any reason, I am treated as though I am ruining someone's day. I understand that they are an interventional practice but one size does not fit all when it comes to medical care. What works for one does not work for all and I find it difficult to believe that every single person that walks through the door needs an injection to remedy the situation. They have limitations on the amount of pain medication prescribed despite being on the same medication at the same dosage for over 10 years. Getting them to increase anything is like asking them to put down their dog but they have no problem slashing your meds in half no matter if it sends you into withdraw or provides that debilitating pain that you came in seeking relief from. If you want actual medical care specific to your needs then keep looking. This is the place for you if you want a physician assistant telling you to have a needle placed in your spine because that's what everyone else gets. I want to start the review by saying that I love Elizabeth and Dr. Page, and the treatment plan I am on is working beautifully!! The reason for the 2-star review is that if there is any issue and you have to call the office to try to get help, it is literally impossible to get a live person on the phone who is willing to help. My prescription didn't get sent to the pharmacy as it usually is (same day as my appt), so I called at 8am the next morning to see if they could send it over. The person who answered the phone heard what I needed, and immediately transferred me to a voicemail (which didn't even have a persons name... simply extension 320). I left a message to explain what the problem was. By 11am, I had not received a return call, but called the pharmacy to see if the script was sent. It was not. I called again, explained again, got transferred to the same vm again. Left message number 2. This happened THREE more times... they don't want to help but just transfer you to a vm to get you off the phone. The last time I called, around 4pm, trying to get help before they closed for the weekend, I was told that Elizabeth was not in the office today. When I asked if there was another PA who could send the script over to the pharmacy, guess what?? I got sent to 320 voicemail AGAIN. So, as long as there are no issues, this facility is great, but today's experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. read more

They don't answer their phones or return messages. Called for a week and never spoke to a human once. When I finally had an appt, the doctor did not call in my prescription and it was a Friday afternoon and of course couldn't get help since NO ONE answers the phone. read more

I was called by a staff member to set up my appointment, while I was setting up the appointment I advised staff member that I am handicapped and can not fill out paperwork she stated that was not a problem. When I arrived they REFUSED to fill out my paperwork and also REFUSED to see me. I drove 45 miles just to be turned away. Staff was EXTREMELY unhelpful and not at all nice or courteous. I reported them to my ins comp and I will pursue a discrimination lawsuit read more

The first thing they have you do is take a drug test, which I understand. They listen to you for about 10 minutes and then cut you off so they can be on their way. They gave me pain medication that was not effective and refused to re-evaluate the type of pain medication a few days later and said I until I had a follow up after an epidural procedure. I just quit taking the pain meds because they were useless. I had to wait in severe pain for three weeks to get an epidural; however, I was called a day before the procedure and was told that they would have to cancel my appointment and reschedule it out for another 3 more weeks because my insurance company had not yet approved the procedure. I called my insurance company and they stated that they had just submitted the paperwork that day and that they just got it so they have yet to have a chance to even read or process the request. I could not believe the pain center was trying to lay the blame on my insurance company to cover up their own mistake of not submitting it in a timely manner when they had plenty of time to do it. I called them back and clarified with them that I had to go through another 3 weeks of pain because you failed to file the claim? Their response was YES! No compassion, no empathy...nothing, because they did not care about me (the patient and customer) or how much pain I was in and they are a pain management center of goodness sakes! Seriously people? I called my insurance company and they advised me to seek appropriate health care elsewhere. They had the nerve to call me three weeks later to try and set up an appointment, how dare they!!! read more
