I don't write reviews often, but when I do, it's because I've had an exceptional experience. I took…read moremy grandmother in for a hearing assessment because her hearing loss has been very obvious and frustrating for friends, family, and of course, herself. She was extremely reluctant to go, and would not even listen the words "hearing aid" without a fight. Understandably, the potential cost and emotional impact that hearing loss has on a person can be painful and scary. Needless to say, Dr. Curtin's approach and patient care skills were amazing. Through information, conversation, and genuine CARE and empathy, she empowered my grandmother to feel that she had a choice, and helped her truly understand how much "healthy" hearing could improve her safety and quality of life and how hard she was working when she didn't need to be. By the time she left, my grandmother rated her curiosity about hearing aids at an 8/10.... she walked in at a 0/10. We are so grateful for this progress and I know that the provider we saw would make or break how my grandmother would react to the experience. We BOTH walked out smiling, with more knowledge and a renewed sense of hope. Somethibg tells me we will be back soon to evaluate the best hearing aid for my grandma :) Thank you, Dr. Curtin!

It has two parts with the second part (the last sentence) being the most important. Please read the entire recommandation to see that sentence. "As a client I can honestly say that this small family firm is the very best in the area! And for those who do do not take the time to check their bios, I will give you an idea of their qualifications. Judy is an internationally known PhD audiologist (who has taught, lectured, and written at the highest levels, Kim, also a Penn PhD audiologist, served a VP for Ed. Development for the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiologists, and Fran is a former SW engineer of the highest level (and I should know because I was a SW engineer for many years) who performs the critical task of tailoring a hearing aid to the exact needs of each individual client! On top of this, they treat each client as a family member."

When initially fitted, they used the results of a 5 month old hearing test. The new ones didn't sound right, so I made a second appointment and insisted on a new hearing test and reprogram, which they did. Still wasn't satisfied since my old set still worked better. Made a 3rd appointment and was told one of the hearing aides was missing data for several frequencies. Even after 3 efforts, I still didn't think they were right. Gave up and paid a different audiologist to perform a hearing test, erase the previous programing completely and reprogram them. It was his opinion that they were programmed by amateurs. Not only did the reprogram result in the new hearing aides working better than the old, I was told one of the domes was the wrong type, and that a separate program could be added to reduce background noise to enhance speech--a major problem for me. This program was added as a 5th program. Main Line only programmed 4 channels, one of which was totally useless. My visits were with 3 separate audiologists, 2 of whom had another person stop in to help. The audiologist I worked with in the past no longer worked there. I was a patient for at least 8 years and purchased my last set from them. Until last year the service was satisfactory. Something clearly changed. It troubles me to have to write such a negative review, but I don't want anyone to go through what I did. Roy T.

I bought top of the line Oticon hearing aids a number of years ago. I paid $6,000. Should have taken care of them. My hearing aids are out of warranty. I sincerely let my aids lapse. . Now Im experiencing more hearing loss. Marianne Mculogh the owner told me I could send them back to Oticon to refurbish them. She told me it would cost about $90 to send them back. Oticon would Probably have to charge me more to fix them. Cris said I had to layout $495 to send them back. She outright lied to me. Audiology and Hearing aids has good reviews . Maybe now that they are a chain called Living Well ( corporate America destroys people once again. )they start to take advantage of people, especially senior citizens like me. I called Oticon to express my dissatisfaction and the lady at Oticon offered to give me other hearing aid places to go and will file a complaint against Audiology and Haring aids, I spoke to a Monica at Oticon customer service. I also explained my batteries used to go one at a time...I would replace one battery on Saturday, for example and then on Tuesday for example I would haven't replace the other ones . Monica said it's possible that some batteries might be older .It never fails, hearing aid stores try to cheat people and this is one example.

Went another provider and got everything taken care off.Reena Graff wanted me to go to physical therapy. My new doctor laughed at this and prescribed the appropriate pain medications. I will never return to any Penn Medicine especially Valley forge and Radnor apps that are 7 minuts long. These Penn Medicine doctors have been terrible. No nutritional advice after a CDK diagnosis!. Horrible place for care!. O Stars!. A cured patient is a lost customer to these follks!.0 Stars.Dont waste your time or money. Its the money wheel I call it.One doctor sends you to his friend and then to another. Its all about the dirty rotten paper. Please dont contact me!. I never want to come over there.I need surgery on my ulnar nerve because the maintenance person Mr Campbell didn't grind down the rebarb sticking out of the ground on the top floor. A light pole blew over and they left the rusted steel rebarb down in 5 minuts before I made it back to the garage it was gone!. My Attorneys told them don't erase the tapes. My friend in security told me it's all on camera and I have photos of it or they would have denied it. Be careful with these people they have obvious fake reviews with one liners and no picture that why I switched to this Yelp site. They can't pay to take these honest reviews down!.The quality of care here is awful.Even the lab doesn't have Castile soap wipes for urine tests!. This is pertinent to remove any bacteria that could get into the specimens!. The bathrooms are nasty and I always bring rubber gloves!. They treat the employees pretty bad and they not paid great or treated well.If that trolley wasn't there they would have nobody to work!. Most employees I'm friends with dont like working here. The place is huge and you'll have one doctor and nobody's around.A 7 minut appointment isn't enough plus you're just an invoice number to these people. Really impersonal. The portal makes it very hard on patient I refuse to use it.They never answer you back in the 48 buisness hours it's a joke.I called them because I only have use of my right hand and my eyes are blurry from medications. They sent me to the ER 4 times last year. They told me to go after my BP was high and I was treated bad there.I was treated at my local hospital as a frequent flyer and warned them this would happen. Now I'm embarrassed to go to the hospital.I had surgery again this time at Einstein and they were fantastic, caring, empathetic, and explained everything and told my 2 wife's what to do as well!. Praise Allah!.
