He provided a very competitive quote, timely responses and delivered on time. 2 years after the installation we had our gate sag a little bit making it difficult to close which he had warned as a possibility for the option we chose (3 sided frame). He came out to evaluate and then had someone come out to attach a 4th side to the frame at a very reasonable price. Since then the gate has held its form with no issues. In October 2024 I notice a section of glass installed on a slope had shifted downward about an 1/8 of an inch. We needed to replace our 38-year-old perimeter glass wall. The wall had rusting posts, aging top rails and deposits from years of sprinklers obscuring most of the glass panes. We called Dave Bricker with Advanced Glass Walls, Inc. for an estimate. He arrived and told us he could replace the exisitng glass wall with a post-less and frameless perimeter wall, which would greatly improve our ocean view. He inspected the stucco 'cap' upon which the old wall sat and the new 'shoe' would be installed and found that we needed to re-stucco most of the wall top cap. He recommended a company which came right out and did a wonderful job of removing the disintegrating stucco and adding a new, smooth stucco cap. Dave's workers then installed our new frameless glass wall. His workers were diligent about their job. We now not only have a new glass perimeter walll, but our ocean view has been greatly improved. The previous balcony wall at my home was rotting and had to be torn out. Dave Bricker, from Advanced Glass Walls, attended the demolition (even though the work was being done by a private contractor) and returned to monitor the installation of the new walls. I really appreciated his attention to the details- he was on site several times to ensure that I was happy and that his team was on schedule. His team was efficient, quiet, and cleaned up very well once the work was completed. My husband commented 'thats how customer service should be.' We were really impressed with the attention we received- especially since the job was fairly straightforward- it just seemed like the company cared about the work and that our happiness and satisfaction was important to them. The contract for payment was also fair and polite. The first ten percent was due prior to ordering the materials. The second and third installments were due on day one of installation and upon completion. I requested a delay to the completion of the project due to an issue w the HOA, and Dave was so reasonable about it- he told me he wanted to be sure the job was completed before he would take payment- I just thought that was really cool and beyond what most companies would allow. We just got a new puppy and were very concerned about the pool but didn't want to have the ugly black netting up again as it made the backyard feel very closed in. Dave came out and gave us a clean looking glass enclosure that really almost disappears. Ask him anything he's honest and will tell you what he can do and how much it will cost. If something is too much he's got ideas so just ask. Glass is not the cheapest option but if you want to feel safe for pets and children it is a great solution and we're very happy with it. We did have some issues with the gates not closing right after the first few weeks but Dave was on it and made the adjustments to get everything fixed. If you are looking for a contractor to put up a glass wall or replace the existing one, I would highly recommend Dave from Advanced Glass Walls. My existing wood framed glass wall was destroyed by the Jan storm. Advanced Glass Walls was recommended by my immediate neighbor who previously used the company. We were able to set up an appointment for a estimate the next day and Dave provide a quote very quickly. Without knowing how in general these walls are constructed and having to coordinate masonry's repair work on the base wall, Dave and I corresponded thru emails and he patiently explain what the process will be. The two workers who came to the multidays jobs were on-time, on schedule, & respectful to our property. The wall was constructed by coring 8" deep hole into the base wall and directly planting/cementing the 2"x2" aluminum posts directly into the holes, resulting in a very solid wall that can withstand future storms for years to come. In terms of cost, we ended up saved a big trunk of money by using Dave. Advanced glass wall does not provide masonry service to build or repair the base or base wall that the glass wall is built upon. You have to hire different people to provide that part of the service. If you don't mind doing that, you can save a lot of money. Before hiring Advanced Glass Walls, I acquired two additional quotes. Those are "full service" contractors who provides both masonry repair to the base wall and put in new glass walls. Those quotes are thousands dollars higher than what I paid Advanced Glass Walls & seperate masonry combined. In terms of options of post materials, size, shape, Advanced Glass Walls seemed to have limited choices. If you want fancy stainless steel construction, you may have to use different vendors who carry CRL stuffs at a much higher cost. At a much lower cost, what Dave carries are simple, strong, and have modern look. I highly recommend Dave and his company! read more
