I've been going to Advanced Dental Center for 3 or 4 years and have had nothing but good experiences. Dr Hopkins is always willing to explain what is needed and why. I was starting to have periodontal issues which she and Elizabeth, her hygienist, have helped me with. The rest of the office staff is always friendly and attentive. I saw a review complaining about the Dr and others having personal conversations. I haven't gone to a dentist in 40 years who didn't have those conversations during an appt. I generally stay with a doctor long term and almost always learn about their personal life and they about mine. We talk about our kids, jobs, vacations, etc. I've run into my allergist at an airport in a different state and another of my doctors at a concert and visited with both because we had gotten to know each other. It makes me look forward to my next visit! Most people have had interesting experiences and you never know what you'll learn. I see this as a positive, not a negative. read more

I have been in a quandary as to what to do about the said crown that was the subject of my review. Over the past month that crown has started hurting, is loose and I am unable to bite down to eat on that side . I really don't know where to turn now regarding this particular situation since insurance has paid you and of course since they don't pay very much anyway the majority of the cost was born by myself. As you know I am retired and on a fixed income and now approximately 9 months after getting the crown I am trying to figure out what to do and wondering how much it is going to cost me to get another dentist to either fix or redo your work. Personally I'm very surprised with some of the reviews that are being left. Honestly I've had a great experience at Advanced Dental Center. I'm not one who enjoys going to the dentist, in fact I hadn't gone for many years prior to coming here. For the past few years I've been treated by Dr. Hopkins and Elizabeth the Dental Hygienist. As far as Dr. Hopkins and her treatment plans have been, they are all very reasonable. She took the time to explain her diagnosis and what my options were. After treatment began I had a noticeable difference in the appearance of my smile. I'm sure this goes hand in hand with Elizabeth's cleanings for my periodontal disease. Which I can gladly say has gone away. Dr. Hopkins has done a great job with creating a very welcoming environment. The office is always very clean, the wait room has a great fridge with water and coffee while you wait. Which is key for me as I always tend to arrive early. I am greeted with a smile every time I come in. The staff are very friendly and always do a great job. I don't feel like just another number here. read more

It's kind of ironic I recently put a review about this business. On this and now it's been removed. My wife had her first dentist visit with this office. The charges for an exam and x-ray and a cleaning was $1789. They gave her 10 shots in her mouth she came home with her mouth all swollen up look like someone had punched her in the face. I think they are the biggest rip off. Have a dentist office I've ever seen or heard about. And now this fake yelp is removing reviews. Best dentist / prosthodontist in DFW, period.

I thought Dr. Hopkins was a bit condescending in the way she tried to educate me in dental procedures. It also wasn't a good first impression when I went in for my cleaning and was strongly encouraged to use a fluoride since, later tacking the cost onto my bill without telling me upfront that there would be an additional charge. Dr. Hopkins also told me that I had several more cavity fillings to take care of. When I switched providers, my new dentist showed me exactly where those potential spots were but were not large enough to worry about it. It's good to find a conservative dentist. I have never had such a disappointing and stressful experience with a dentist!,, But I really don't trust her to do anymore work.. I m going to another dentist and get this done correctly! I have used Christine Hopkins for teeth cleaning and fluoride treatment, (which seem to be mandatory). I sent my daughter to her to have a front bridge done. $4000 So when I needed a bridge replaced with implants and a temp partial I went to her, my experience was awful I have had dental work all my life and I have never been so disappointed in the result or the attitude. my bridge fits poorly I have been back two time to give her the opportunity to adjust it and she can't get it to fit any better.. She said it was not cast incorrectly but has not yet re cast it or offered to re cast it. She just keeps filing on this acrylic, like I'm going to accept this as the way it is gong to be! The temp crown she cast is horrible!!! But, I thought it was temporary, well, not, $388 for a temp crown, I have never been charged for a temp crown!!! she had not even started the permanent crown prep, which, by the way I was quoted at $1055. Again, when I went in to get the crown cast, the price after the $388 will be $1299 and another fee for the build up fee of,, I cant even remember because that is when I got up out of her chair!!! So I have a horrible temp crown, and an ill fitting partial, and a dentist that I don't trust to complete the work. I have never had such a disappointing and stressful experience with a dentist!,, But I really don't trust her to do anything more work.. Until I recently moved out of state, I had been going to Dr. Hopkins for YEARS. She always provides amazing service and is truly a perfectionist. I too am surprised by the low reviews of a few people regarding Advance Dental Care and Dr. Hopkins and her staff. I have been seeing Dr. Hopkins for years and have always been VERY SATISFIED with how my care has been handled. I have a more complicated medical situation which Dr Hopkins always takes into consideration when doing her work. Her hygienist Elizabeth is very thorough, has a gentle hand and has worked with me to find the right solution when I gag during the xray process. The offices are lovely and have a welcoming boutique feel. I never have had to wait past my appointment time. I am very particular about my service providers and she has continued to earn my business. I know when someone has an unpleasant experience they find the time to post their experience. I just wanted to make sure people know that there are alot of patients of Dr. Hopkins that are VERY HAPPY with her professional care. read more
