I decided to get another opinion. Across a lot of social media groups is how I came upon Dr. Hadavand. A lot of glowing reviews. I come to find out later that my boss's son also sees Dr. Hadavand. Our initial consultation was very detailed with pictures and scans of his teeth. Dr. Hadavand suggested an expander to make space for incoming adult teeth and correct the cross-bite. Every thing was explained in detail and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision right there. I have no complaints about Dr. Hadavand and his staff. It was easy to make appointments and we never had to wait long. My son got his expander in July and 4 months later his cross-bite is no longer there. However, interspersed with their business-related images and information are pictures of children praying, a woman in an all-white dress praying, and a blonde man praying in an outdoor setting. Dr. Jensen is a Mormon, and seems to be taking his Mormon desire to share his beliefs too far. The woman in the white dress is an image of a Mormon woman in temple clothing. The blonde man praying is Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon religion.. I felt deeply uncomfortable with having these religious images in the middle of an otherwise professional office space. In addition, in the lobby I noticed a piece of literature from a far-right university with overt political objectives. Why? The religious imagery and political literature seem contrary to the otherwise professional atmosphere. I don't want to be preached to about religion or politics while getting my child's teeth straightened. It's inappropriate and makes me wish I'd picked a practice whose only objective was to straighten teeth, not create religious or political converts.

We had dental tads surgically screwed into her gums (Dr. Newton at OSANT) and then Dr. Ryan pulled up her upper teeth over the course of a few months. After he moved the teeth up, we had her excess gum tissue removed (Dr. Chang at Periodontics and implant center). We couldn't be any happier with her non-gummy smile and the skill and care we received at Packard Family Orthodontics. They have 2 convenient locations, in mckinney and Anna and we never have to wait long to be seen.
