"Thank you" just doesn't cover my gratitude to the ADS engineers who successfully recovered the data from the Toshiba hd which crashed on my Dell laptop. The files were invaluable to me as the laptop, including critical AUTOCAD files, belonged to my late husband whom I had tragically lost to cancer less than two years before. I would particularly like to extend my sincere thanks to Joe Cruz, who not only explained the risks involved in recovering the data (given the severity of the damage to the hard drive, at the outset, the engineers estimated the odds were 50/50 for successful recovery - thus the signifiant cost assessed for the engineers' work) but also empathised with my personal situation. The engineers began work on the evening of 18Jul and the next day Enrique called to advise me that the work was progressing, the engineers anticipated a 100% recovery and the files would be ready for my review that evening. Once ADS transferred the restored files to the new hd on my laptop, ADS then held the recovered files on their server for a full month to allow me sufficient time to review the files for completeness. The ADS team are experts in their field. The cost of recovery is assessed at the outset by the engineers following review of the extent of damage to the h/d for the client's consideration. If recovery is successful, full payment is required only after the client has reviewed the restored files on ADS' server and then elects to proceed with transferring the restored files to another device. If ADS is unable to restore the data, no charge is asssessed. I am truly grateful to the ADS team and to Martin Bitmead at San Diego Computer Consultants (SDCC) who referred me to ADS. read more

OH MY GOODNESS. Maybe I'm writing this in the midst of euphoria because my emotions are currently so high and my excitement to write this is overwhelming so I apologize for the rambling. But here's what happened: A few months ago I did a Quince and when I went to put it in my computer to transfer photos the file was unable to be opened. I returned the SD Chip to camera I received a message saying "Card Cannot Be Accessed" Naturally, I googled it and was met with "Why Your Card Cannot Be Accessed. Two main reasons should be responsible for the Camera says card cannot be accessed error: one is a corrupted memory card and the other is card reader failure. To figure out the issue, you can change to another card reader to see whether the error still exists." which i did to no avail. I looked up for days places where I could go and first I was directed to Los Angeles, (I'm San Diego Based) so a couple of days later, I looked up 'trusted Data Recovery' in San Diego and Lo and Behold Advanced Data Solutions popped up, I set up an appointment, they gave me a breakdown of what they could potentially do and ended up by recovering not only the files I KNEW I was missing, but also files I didn't realize were on that particular Chip. Which turned out to be my Abuelita's Last (87th) Birthday. So thank you again, Joe and everyone else who gave me hope in recuperating treasured files due to technological errors. I am thrilled knowing that there is somewhere I can trust to go when things go wrong in my field. read more

I want to thank all involved in the recovery of the data from my external hard drive. It had fallen off my desk and would not work afterwards. It was used as a backup for all our financials, which I also kept on my computer. But what really upset me were the untold hours I had spent scanning old 8mm & 16mm films, hundreds of 35mm slides and negatives and hundreds of photographs, one at a time. Not being able to access them on the hard drive was, to me, devastating. A friend of mine suggested Advanced Data Solutions. I talked to Joe and he explained, in detail, exactly what would be done. If any data could be recovered they would let me know and make the files available for me to review. As it turned out the hard drive suffered damage to the discs. There was a question as to how much data they would be able to recover. I asked Joe to proceed with the recovery. After two days of work I got a call from Suzanna, who told me the files they recovered were ready for my review. As it turned out, the techs were able to recover about 99% of my files. This included ALL my videos and pictures. These were the most important to me. I had all the files transferred to another hard drive I brought in. I can't thank Advanced Data Solutions enough. Joe was extremely helpful in explaining the process. Suzanna was very polite, both on the phone and in person. Both are a credit to Advanced Data Solutions. I highly recommend Advanced Data Solutions to anyone with a hard drive problem. They have my business for life. read more

I seldom write a review, but I must write this one in appreciation of the Advanced Data Solutions' help, particularly through Joe, Tim, and other data recovery experts behind the screen. I had one year's data not backed up before my Mac was suddenly dead. I mainly communicated with Tim and Joe during the whole data-back process. They were both professional friendly, patient, and tried their best to meet my needs. What also impressed me was their solid work ethics: they checked my ID each time I showed up.They are such experts that they successfully got my data back from my dead laptop within ONE day! Then, due to my disk format issue, the backup data were not readable on my laptop. They continued working on it patiently and solved the problem efficiently. I am still downloading the data from the data back-up they saved in my new disk. I am happy seeing each familiar file on the disk! They did excellent work, obviously! Like all the customers who are concerned about the data safety once exposed, I expressed mine to them as well. To my excitement, they assured me that they will clean the backup data from their system afterwards. Thank you, Advanced Data Solutions. Thank you, Joe and Tim! read more

Three days ago I left my laptop and external HHD inside my car for quick lunch. When I got back to my car the temperature inside my car was 95 Deg. Fah. and when I got home I noticed my external HHD is not working though there is power so i'm thinking I lost all my data on that external HHD that day. So I start looking for local data recovery in San Diego and National City. First I brought it to the computer repair co. the next day but not successful to retrieve my important data and AutoCAD files but recommended to go to Advanced Data Solutions, Inc. in National City, CA to checkt it out. I left my external HHD to the experts and engineers at ADS and then few hours later I got a call from ADS saying that my data can be retrieve and I almost jump for joy just to hear the good news about my external HHD and my important data in life support. Boy, I had no doubt I went to the right place and all my data are still there. As on their ad they are really no doubt and perhaps one of the best in the world in recovering data from failed HHD. I highly recommend this company to those who have same HHD problem(s). I am one very happy customer. read more

It's one of those things you hope won't happen; a computer crash that makes your data irretrievable. In this case it was one of my external back up drives, which I hadn't bothered to back up as well. In many cases, the data can be recovered. In some cases it can only be recovered by professional technicians that specialize in this service. You'll find a variety of companies that do this; most are located in some other city or state. Most are expensive and don't guarantee results regardless of the cost. I wanted to deal with a local company. I wanted to talk to the people that would work on the drive. I wanted some personal attention. Advanced Data Solutions worked out great. The work was explained clearly, and guaranteed. They got all my data back in a timely manner (less than a week) and I was able to review the results before paying for the service. The cost was competitive with other firms, and I knew what I was getting. I would definitely recommend this company's services. read more

My boyfriend is the owner of Cast & Brand Tattoo and I dropped his work computer! The hard drive was damaged so we had to search for someone to try to retrieve the data. It was really important to get this data back because there was so much he needed for the business and also years of photos and memories. We took it to 2 places that were of no help. We took it to ADS and finally were given some hope. They were very thorough with us about the process. They quoted us after investigation of the hard drive. And then after seeing what they could retrieve, they let us look at what was there and could decide if it was worth using further services which was nice. We didn't get back all of the data because the hard drive was damaged beyond repair but we got a lot back! We were referred to them because the have some on the best resources to fix your stuff and they followed through. Thank you for helping us get our data back!! read more

Joe and the crew at ADS rescued several YEARS worth of music projects from a failed external hard drive. I was heartbroken at the thought of losing all that work forever. Joe explained everything thoroughly, and felt confident they could deliver positive results. After a few days, he followed up with a phone call, as promised, to give me the results. I especially appreciate that I was allowed to view the data they recovered at the shop, prior to paying, in order to determine if I was satisfied with the results. Not everything was 100% recovered, which Joe had already explained was a possibility, but I was still very happy with the results. When I loaded the projects at home, with the exception of a few files which are incomplete, but not a total loss, the majority of my music projects were in tact. I feel it was well worth the cost and am grateful to Joe and the crew at ADS for their efforts. read more

Long story short, if you want your data back, this is where the experts are. A few weeks ago I made the dire error of switching modular power supply cables from two different brands, which effectively fried all three of my harddrives (two were, ironically, intended to be used as 'backup drives'). Frying all 3 at once rendered this plan moot obviously. Joe and his team operated under the motto of "we like to see our customers leaving here happy and with their data" and they really do deliver. They're very careful here, and I could tell they do their utmost to make sure you get the data back safely, without taking any potentially dangerous shortcuts. Data recovery in general can be expensive, but given the industry, these guys are very fair and honest. If you want the data back and amateur solutions won't cut it, I'd definitely recommend these guys because they're pretty much the best. read more

So, with the extra time on my hands, I decided to consolidate and digitize my media library into an external hard drive. Months of running and digitizing VHS and Hi8 tapes, of going through duplicate photo and audio files. The last piece was purchasing a 5TB drive, migrating everything to it and (foolishly, regrettably) erasing them. Of course, within days the drive failed after a short drop. Imagine thinking that you've lost decades of digital memories. Your wedding photos. Relatives now gone. The birth of your kids. It was a gut punch. Frantically I searched online and realized that these guys are right here in my hometown. I called and spoke to Jose, who told me to come in. I am thankful I did. They were able to save all of my files. They treated me very well, even though I'm just an individual, and not a company. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I am an instructor at the San Diego Community College Adult school division, when the Covid 19 crisis struck, I was immediately locked out of my classroom and had to transfer all my teaching assignments online. It was at this time, after generating hundreds of ours of content for my students that my hard drive failed. I was horrified that I was going to lose all that work. I spoke to the gentlemen at Advanced Data Solutions and they were kind, courteous, and professional. they were able to save the day by recovering hundreds of hours of work that was locked on that drive. They literally saved me from having to recreate hundreds of ours of presentations, lectures, and work-files for my students! I highly recommend Advanced Data solutions, they are the utmost in responsiveness and professionalism, Alfred M. Williams, Adjunct Instructor, SDCCD. read more

I had an HP pocket hard drive that got knocked off the desk and hit the hardwood floor. I had backed up all of my critical personal and business documents to the pocket drive due to my primary PC having major hard drive failures and it was in need of a complete rebuild. Before getting to that point, the pocket drive was damaged. Advanced Data Solutions was referred to me by a client and I arragned to have them look things over and confirm what the failure was. They were able to recover all of the data, back it up to another new compact hard drive that I provided, and they had me sit down to review the files before payment. It wasn't cheap, so to speak, but likely far less than most other data recovery services. They were quick, communicative, and thorough throughout the process. I highly reccomend Advanced Data Solutions. read more

This place really saved my life. I am a Student and the harddrive of my laptop crashed one week before the start of classes, which made my totally desperate, because all my University staff was on it. (By now I will definitely make backups) So I came to this place in a little desperate mood, but Joe talked to me in a really calming way and said they will evaluate, how much data they can possibly save and that they will call me within one day. In the next morning they called me and said they can save most of the data and that I can pick it up in three hours. They also gave me a discount, because I am a student, with not so much money. Im really happy with this place and would definitely come back, if I have any issues with my harddrive again. read more

Advanced Data Solution (ADS), I love you guys. I had a Maxtor One touch that just stopped running. I could not see it on any computer I attached it to. I had my IT dept at work look at it and a computer guru friend; they verified that I would need to open the drive enclosure to get the data. I was referred to ADS buy a computer repair place that did not perform data recovery (Crywolf). I brought the External drive to ADS and they got ALL the data I needed and more. I appreciate the security and personal assistance that was provided by your staff, Angel was fantastic to work with. In addition, I am grateful for your patience in working with me in these tough economic times. Thank you ADS. Jack Creedon San Diego read more

I have used Advanced Data Solutions before and forgot to write a review. Well, I'm going to write one now, and I just have to say, they are the best. I now have used them twice and both times, they helped me out of a jam with my computer. This recent visit was because I got a catastrophic failure alert on my computer -- it just sounds bad. Well, In a few weeks they fixed my computer and it's running like it did when I first bought it, and they were able to save all my files! The way our current society seems to have gone crazy -- with no one giving you the truth -- these guys are the real deal. Greatly appreciate their service -- anyone with a computer problem don't hesitate, go see Advanced Data Solutions. read more

I live out of state and learned about Advanced Data Solutions from my IT department. I had 2 failed SD camera cards with 120 super precious photos just taken and corrupted by my camera or computer upon an attempted data transfer to my computer desktop. The General Manager, Joe Cruz, calmly and concisely told me the process and encouraged me to mail the damaged cards. With in a few days he had a price to recover the data and further said that I could examine the recovered photos via zoom and if satisfied then pay. How fair is that? All the photos were recovered and I couldn't be more satisfied and delighted. Thank you Joe and the Advanced Data Solutions crew read more

My daughter's cats had pulled our external hard drive off the desk many times. I took it to my local repair shop and they told me that it was beyond their help, but Advanced Data Solutions might be able to help me out. I took it to them and Joe gave me the free analysis info. There were several years (hundreds of photos worth) of my daughter's Girl Scout photos that were destined for scrapbooks. Had ADS not been able to recover them for me, I don't now what would have happened. The quote they gave me was higher than our family could afford. They worked with me on the price and they still recovered all of my data. I owe them big! read more

Advance Data Solutions has great customer service. The General Manager, Joe Cruz, was very professional, courteous, patient, and understanding. He made sure that I was happy with the service that they provided. He explained to me all what entails in data recovery and the excellent work his technician provides (Tim). He also assured me that any data recovered is confidential and once I acquired the data, they will delete it from their servers. Great peace of mind. A procedure I admire is that they check identification to ensure privacy and safety of the data. Bravo Zulu to Joe and his team at Advance Data Solutions. read more

As a creative agency we are constantly working on high profile projects. We have been seeking a local company that is able to recover any media we may lose due to cards or cameras getting corrupted on our projects. I am so thrilled we found Advanced Data Solutions. They are so helpful throughout the recovery process, and were constantly in good communication with me. They even allow you to see the media that has been recovered first, before you decide to pay. All while having a very fare rate and excellent staff. We look forward to working with them plenty more in the future! read more
