Shannon told me that I had to wait my turn. I told her I was number one in line and just waited 2 hours. She then started arguing with me and gave me a dirty look. I had to make it clear that I wasn't arguing because she was very hostile to me. There were also a few other employees who had just opened up, one staring down at paperwork not helping. So I figured it all out myself and if they had just walked around the house, they would've noticed a previous DIRECTV install bracket (already bolted into the house) that they could've used. I sent them a picture of it and they said they couldn't use it. But I'm literally writing this review from StarLink that I set up myself. For free! ! I've now got the entire thing setup by myself, and simply have to go to Home Depot in the morning and buy a few small things to make everything look neat. Most simple install ever. Nothing wrong with that, unless you go there for service where they basically have very little power to help if your issue is at the account level and you don't know they're not corporate unless they tell you. The staff are nice, but their youth betrays them and service was distracted. The manager didn't even seem interested in helping his own team and walked away while they asked him questions. I got a pre-paid SIM which was bought online and shipped to me. It wasn't working so I took it here because I was without any cell service which I needed for work. They told me they can't help at all with any prepaid accounts so they put me on their landline with AT&T to activate my phone number (unable to activate it online because it kept saying it "hit a snag" and to try again later - maybe that's why) and then they'd try to get it working. Unfortunately, once I was off the phone the person helping me went to lunch and never came out again so another associate told me to go to the corporate store on 182nd. At strike two, I was getting a little annoyed but I did as they asked. The awesome lady at that store was able to get me up and running. Turns out, prepaid is no longer supported at ANY southern CA store, corporate or otherwise, so DON'T buy it online. You'll have nothing but a headache trying to get it operating if it doesn't work out of the box. What's more, they had no record of my paying for the prepaid account so I had a balance. The account had turned into a post-pay unlimited account by itself and I owed them $75! I went ahead and paid and I got to keep my original number. I'm happy now, with much better coverage than I was getting with Verizon, but it was a long, patience-grating trip to get there!

And he also noticed a burning odor, not good. That was yesterday. So I figured I'd have to go buy a new TV & then get Jim back to install it. Until Jim offered to go get me a TV, bring it to the house, set it up, and I do nothing. And I'd have the new TV next day. Music to my ears. Jim & his son just left my house. They delivered my new Samsung flatscreen, installed it, set up the existing Tivo for me, hauled away my super-heavy old plasma. They were in & out in a flash. They were exactly on time, as always.
