    Tuesday: Laptop went black. Work IT spent an hour trying everything but no luck. Two huge filing…read moredeadlines next week. I was screwed. Deviceland was the only authorized Apple servicer that could see me that day. Dropped off the laptop. Went home angry at the world. Wednesday: Got a call from Sohail, the lead tech. He said that the part (a display card) had been ordered but he was unsure when it would arrive because the delivery service was showing only that the label had been created. He confirmed that he was able to back up my files. The following two things he did is why I am so happy: (1) Sohail carefully explained to me - a Luddite - what was damaged and what a replacement part could do to my laptop and (2) if I wanted to keep working on the two documents, he could loan me an external hard drive until my laptop was repaired. Thursday: Picked up the loaner external hard drive. Sohail did not charge me for it. Friday: Got my laptop back before lunch. It's working well! From now on, if I have any issues with any Apple product, I'm taking it to Sohail at Deviceland. No more waiting in line to see which blue T-shirt Apple genius at the Apple Store will help me.     Unfortunately, my experience with this repair center was far below expectations. My laptop only…read moreneeded a simple keycap replacement. While a few keys were replaced, one key that should have been addressed was completely missed, and two of the installed keycaps were improperly fitted, they weren't seated correctly. When I contacted the technician who performed the service, they dismissed the poorly installed keys as "fine to use" and insisted I trust their years of experience. They also told me to wait for a full keyboard replacement part that hadn't even been confirmed by the manufacturer/Apple. I explained that, regardless of any future replacement, the keys needed to be properly installed now so I could comfortably use my device. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the technician talked over me and continued to rely on their experience as an excuse, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. We eventually agreed, after I rearranged my own schedule, to have the technician return the next business day (this was a home-visit service) to correct their mistakes. Conveniently, they then reported a medical issue and canceled, saying they wouldn't be available until the following week, which also happened to be when they expected to hear back about the unconfirmed keyboard part. Ultimately, I had to contact Apple directly, which turned out to be the better option. Still, this repair center wasted my time and energy with misinformation, incomplete and poorly executed repairs, and an unwillingness to take responsibility. They expected me to wait on their timeline, blamed manufacturer policies and communications, and tried to steer the situation to their own convenience, all while I was left without a properly functioning computer. I do not recommend this repair center for any type of repair. You're better off dealing directly with the manufacturer or finding another service provider.

Last year she bought an iPhone 16 and they were very helpful answering her questions. Last week it was an iPad with the A16 chip. She thought she was only going to check out the new models, but realized that they have the color she wanted and it would be relatively easy to operate. Generally we're able to get help very quickly. Sometimes there are long lines during the holidays with sales. One time, I ordered an iPhone in advance and picked it up here. I didn't even have to set an appointment to pick it up. I just went once I received the notice saying it had arrived. Yes, I had to wait a few minutes because there were lots of people picking things up. But once I got my phone, they were very helpful answering questions while I got acquainted with my new device. They've always been very helpful with their support, being able to gear it to my mom, who is, admittedly, not very technologically savvy. Every person has been very patient with her and we always leave satisfied. It's a bonus that Manhattan Village is a relatively nice mall. The other stores here are decent and there are some nice restaurants. There's even a little artificial grass park with a fountain where you'll see lots of families letting their kids play.

    9/13/2020 Contacted David with Bipro Computers on a Monday…read moremorning, frustrated beyond belief at how slow my computer was running. He set a same day appointment. With COVID-19, David with Bipro was able to remote in to my Computer and reversolved all the issues! David was very friendly and knowledgeable. David spoke in plain English, instead of geek which made it much easier for me to understand what was going on. COVID-19 safe, extremely courteous and very nice to talk to! I would use him again in a heartbeat, and recommend him to other's who are facing annoying technical computer issues. I will leave his name and number in case you need his service.     I had the occasion to visit Bipro computers twice during my "residency" in El Segundo. For my…read morefirst visit, I went to have a "gaming computer" assembled using the high end parts I had purchased online. I have decent hardware skills when it comes to assembling computers, but I usually have my father in law on site, as he is a I.T. specialist and can talk me through it. However, I was all alone in California as a fresh transplant and needed professional help. El Segundo is a small town, and it didn't take long until I saw Bipro computers on Main Street. I brought my boxes of parts to Bipro and spoke with the owner (I think his name was Dave). He was a very polite guy, quoted me a fair price and told me my rig would be ready in a day or so. I got a call the next evening and was told my rig was ready to pick up. After paying for services rendered, I went straight home, plugged in my machine, did a few updates and voila; I was gaming. Fast forward approximately six months and I had just acquired a new motherboard CPU and memory. I did the install myself and the darned computer would not start. Ugh! I brought the computer back to Bipro and explained the problem to Dave. It was just 10 minutes before closing time and his technician had already gone for the day. Two days later, I received a phone call from the Bipro technician and was told my rig was ready. When I arrived, I was quoted a fair price and I asked what the issue was. He told me I had forgotten to install the insulating washers that fit between the motherboard and the case. When I advised him that my motherboard did not come with the washers, he became slightly confrontational and explained to me that he had never heard of a motherboard not coming with the washers. Getting slightly perturbed with his "tone" at this point, I told him that there's a first time for everything. Perhaps I was in a bad mood that day and read too much into it. However, the customer is always right and there was no real reason for him to get snippy. But the bottom line is that Bipro does good work, the owner is cool, and the place is locally owned and operated. If I still lived in El Segundo, they would still be my computer repair business of choice.

    ** READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS **…read more This company is very clearly buying reviews on Yelp and Google... These guys are snakes like others have pointed out. They are selling products that are not legal to be sold and they are misleading consumers into purchasing "custom built" computers. The computers are all under 1 volume Windows license and ripe with used motherboards and lazy cable management. The moment you walk out of the store they can shut down your windows license so they can apply it to another machine and scam another person. Luckily, my license lasted for a few months before they did this to me. When I contacted Windows they advised me what this shop is doing. Avoid them, its not worth the headache. Also, just in case you were curious how they responded when I reached out to them regarding what had happened with my license below is the response I got FROM THEM. I will also be putting proof that it came from their email. NOTICE THAT MANY OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE BRAND NEW ACCOUNTS EDIT: I received a message (see below) very shortly after posting this review threatening me to remove the post or they are going to show up at my house and smash my car windows... at least now I know exactly who to point to if anything happens to my vehicles... maybe change the city you're in next time before sending threatening messages.. for computer guys they really do not know how the internet works do they?
