Still waiting for the estimate one week later. It is clear the company is not interested in doing the job. I wish the company rep had told me that from the start rather than leading me to believe a price would be forthcoming and wasting my time checking for estimate. Poor customer relations. Needless to say, I will not be calling this company for any work in the future and do not recommend them to anyone.

We had a clogged kitchen sink, and could not resolve this issue on our own (using a manual snake,…read moreetc.); so we took a chance and called this plumber for the first time. Carlos and his team were professional, knowledgeable and relentless when dealing with this stubborn clog; which turned out to be 25 years of garbage build up. When the clog did not break-up with their electric snake; Carlos had no other option than to cut our PVC pipe, in order to remove all of this build-up. The clog was getting hung up in one of the elbow turns; so he replaced it with a T, so that if this ever happens again (hope not), the removal of anything should be a lot easier than what he originally experienced. And lastly, Carlos went out of his way in order to keep the price down for us; which we truly appreciated. We would highly recommend Carlos and his team to anyone; since they are now our "guys" if we ever need any of their services in the future.

My 80+…read moreyear old MIL and long time customer had her AC (which was replaced w/Essig a little over a year prior) go out during the extreme heat earlier this summer. The parts had to be ordered which seemed to take a long time, then once they finally came back they had the wrong part resulting in another weeks long delay. She had just sold the home and wanting to make sure it was in working order for the new owner, and she went to great lengths to get it fixed prior to closing. Even though the system/parts were under warranty, they charged her almost $2,000 for labor to fix a one year old system! Then, the day AFTER closing, the system went out again for the new owner, and instead of guaranteeing the work wanted to charge them another $2,000 for a separate fix. The new owner decided to get a whole new system with a different provider. Several weeks of stress and lots of money spent by both parties with a trip to the hospital thrown in bc my MIL was so hot and dehydrated without her AC...so no, do NOT recommend Essig!

We moved from the Reading area to Ephrata and had furnace problems. I didn't renew my maintenance…read morecontract since I was really busy and wasn't sure if they supported propane furnace in a manufactured home. They did and when I called this morning the tech arrived at 11am. He diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes and got us running. We had used a local company and they took five days and never resolved the issue. The furnace is 16 years old and needs to be replaced, which I will only trust UGI to take care of. I also made sure my maintenance plan was paid for the year. We had UGI natural gas in our old home for 19 years and had the maintenance plan for six years. Well worth the cost for complete piece of mind. Sales rep gave us a price for a new furnace on 1/6/2020 and they installed it today 1/8/2020. You can't ask for better service than that. Unfortunately we found that the condenser-coil is bad and since the a/c is just as old, they will come back in late March to replace them. Not what we wanted to hear but at least we know what we are in for.

BEWARE -- My gas-fired hot water heating system was not working properly. Quinn, a local company,…read morevisited my home and gave me an estimate for three "boiler tune-ups" ranging from $1500 to $2700, including installation of fancy new equipment. I immediately knew this estimate was way too high because a worker from the gas company had already told me that all mechanical parts were working OK in my home, and that the radiator system just needed to be drained and re-filled because there were air pockets in the system. So I got another estimate from a different company, and the job was done perfectly for just $400.... with excellent results. I am so glad I did not have Quinn do the work! The estimate that Quinn gave me was an insult.

His explanation of repairs didn't make sense to me and wow! was his estimate high! Two other heater guys said it was a simple problem with my heater and told me nothing needed replacing. We ended up hiring Goodman plumbers who finished the job within 2 hours and charged me about 1/4 of what Quinn wanted. If you're thinking of hiring Quinn Plumbing, I recommend you keep looking.
