The location is between car dealerships on ynez & you could stay in the lobby while you wait on vehicle to be serviced or walk/uber to the mall to wait. He fixed it easily (and explained there is a cable that is a syncing cable, not just a charging cable, which was my issue--apparently I have a bunch of the charging kind) and I was so appreciative. If they couldn't have, I wasn't sure it would be fixable. So glad Johnny took a moment out of his day to easily fix it. He didn't charge me. So I've been coming to them for the non-off roading specific stuff that Chris still does for me. Luke and everyone else here is incredibly kind, knowledgable, and professional. This past weekend, I panicked since I'm leaving for an extended work trip (1.5 months) which involves my heavily modded Subaru Forester and I had an axle issue days before I was supposed to leave. I texted Chris over the weekend and he said come to 1st Choice by 8:00am on Monday. I didn't have an appointment, and just showed up. And this isn't my style. I'm usually so highly organized and do my best to be respectful, schedule appointments, and go through the proper channels. But I woke up at 6:00am and was in Murrieta by 8:00am. I explained my situation and they were so accommodating and understanding and kind. It took all day but they helped me out and got my car back in good health and I'm so thankful they were cool with me just showing up. This shop is trustworthy, professional, and now is really familiar with off-roading and modded, lifted Subarus due to SubiWorks' and Chris' involvement. I only found out how bad of a job they did once I took the van to a mobility dealer for routine maintenance. They had to drop the subframe to install the transmission, and when they put the subframe back on they overtorqued the bolts and incorrectly installed the spacers. So now I have to have a body shop re-weld new nuts onto the subframe, costing me thousands of dollars. So, if they are magically still around, I would love to know!

My story is VERY different than these high ratings. Brought my Isuzu Trooper to SCOTT. He said it would take a week to rebuild my tranny, which is a common GM 4L30E trans. It took him over THREE WEEKS! During that time I had to rent a car which coat me an extra $700, above and beyond the TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS this con artist was charging me. When I got my ride back, the check tranny light was flashing and my vehicle vibrated heavily in overdrive, which it never did before. Brought it back for them to make right. They said it wasn't their problem and said it was something new. REALLY? It's a new problem on the item U just charged thousands to repair? Less than 6 months later, my "newly rebuilt tranny" blew all over the highway. I had another REPUTABLE mechanic pull the tranny. Not only did they forget to plug the transmission back in, but never rebuilt it in the first place. A bench mechanic with 30 years experience opened it up and showed me that there WERE NO NEW PARTS IN MY TRANSMISSION. This place ONLY replaced a $30 dollar seal, topped it off with fluid and charged me $2000. I can never prove it. I will never get my money back. DON'T LET THIS BE YOU!
