Brought my car in after another local shop botched a repair. As a young car owner, I was tired of being ripped off and quoted ridiculous prices. They immediately diagnosed and fixed my issue for a great price. Over the years, Advantage Auto has done excellent work on my engine, cooling system, axles, suspension, and more. The pricing is always as low as possible to get the work done right. The biggest reason Advantage Auto is a great shop is the customer service. They answer my endless questions about each repair, break down pricing, and are patient as I figure out financing. I've recently moved out of state and Mike STILL responds to my questions and concerns. Advantage Auto is a phenomenal shop, deserve more than 5 stars, and I would absolutely recommend. A big thanks to Mike and the crew. read more

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST car mechanic is Temecula! Again helped me in a pinch as i need my wheels! Some guy passed me on Pauba Road, obviously the side with all the pot holes, he came upon me so quick and fast that I had to move over and Bang hit the biggest pothole ever, and got pushed off the side of the road. Well Mike and his team assessed my car recommended me to Precision Automotive in Temecula. Thank you to Advantage Auto for always helping me with my car. Please go see them for Most all your car needs, if he cannot then he always has good recommendations, like this time for a big car alignment! Thank you Always there! Great Mechanics and Friendly Service! read more

I had previously had my car at another mechanic, the car was running with needing carb work. the shop stated i should get a the other mechanic that knows carbs better possible Dyno tuned. it is from a mechanic i have know for years now. I needed carb work done and looked up yelp. i found Mike and called him, he stated he could tune it up no problem. I took it in, Mike stated he would work on it. Mike called me and stated the engine was bad and i should get a new crate engine. He stated that there was no compression. I was shocked due to the car was running and needed to be turned up with fixing the carb. so I told mike i was going to pick up the car and not repair it yet. He had the hood off, I asked why he took off the hood, Mike stated he had to take off the hood to get the valve covers off. This was a false statement, I have had the valve covers off with no problem with the hood on. Mike's statement did not make since. I politely asked him to put it back together. He didn't have time that day so i picked it up the next day. I drove it directly to another Mechanic when i went to open the door it would not open. the new mechanic asked why they took apart the drivers door panel after he noticed parts on the floor grouped together. Totally unprofessional mechanic. First takes my car to drive test it (20 min) without asking me. Second- you get paid to do your job as a mechanic, not to share us your personal feelings. I'd take my car anywhere else if I'd known. 1- It's a 2014 Volkswagen Passat wolfsburg edition. You don't even know what you were checking. 2- You expressed yourself in front of a potential buyer that you're not a big fan of VW, you don't like them. Very unprofessional. That is your opinion. You're not the buyer, who gives a crap what you like or not. You're there to check the car as a mechanic not as a car enthusiast. 3- A used car will show wear and tear. Those tires don't even have 20k miles on them. I shouldn't even waste my time replying here how bad your service was, but if this will save another potential customer to not get treated like i was then i will gladly do it. read more

After having some issues with my car idling low, I ended up taking it to a transmission shop to get it further diagnosed. My car was inspected by Mike and he was honest and fair. He let me know that he would take a look at it, let me know what he could do, and price me after. The source of the issue looked like more of an electrical problem than a transmission problem and he called up my local Nissan dealer to explain what was going on and then referred me over. It's nice having the assistance of a professional when you're new in the area and I would recommend Mike and the shop for his professionalism and communication read more

We definitely did not have a good experience here. Would not recommend at all! Kinda felt like mike tried to take advantage of us! Charged us a lot for very little work to be done. Car wasn't even fixed. read more

Mike the owner at Advantage automotive is great, you hear horror stories of mechanics... totally not the case with mike. I've brought two different cars here after shopping around for an honest automotive shop. I've never once felt there was anything unnecessary being done or over priced, and left feeling like I was treated fair and honest. Thanks to you and your small crew Mike, definitely a repeat customer read more

When searching for the right shop, I wanted to find someone who actually worked on cars, not just a front office guy managing a herd of inexperienced YouTube mechanics. Michael is an honest, no B.S. kinda guy and I appreciate that. His mechanical prowess, quality customer service and fair pricing will keep me coming back. I've already recommended his shop to my friends and family. Keep up the good work Advantage Automotive. read more

Went there from a recommendation from a friend. Seemed very straight forward and knowledgeable about automotive repairs. I was provided with a precise quote on repairs and degree of what was needed. At the end it was proved they stand behind their workmanship and recommendations. I am certain most everyone that goes here has great results. Unfortunately in our situation we had an array of things happen. Mike told me at the start if there were any issues he stands behind his work. It was proven to be true. He and his crew put the effort out and went beyond in making things good. This is a small local business I would recommend. Finding a honest car repair facility is not easy. read more

Have brought multiple cars in for regular oil changes over the last couple of years. Fair price, quick in and out. Waiting area is basically the office, so it's not a traditional waiting room, but I'm here to get my car taken care of. Notified me my tires were balding. Recommended Barney's, which is where we go for tires anyway. Trust him over jiffy lube any day. read more

Took my girlfriend here for pre-purchase inspections on used vehicles. Mike brought us in right away, had good prices, and went so far beyond expectations to make sure we knew the condition of the cars we were looking at. Really honest guy. Absolutely reccommend. read more

Extremely unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment on tuesday at 4pm (only day I was available this week) and proceeded to turn me away and told me to come back on thursday later in the week because he was "too busy at the moment" really Mike? How unprofessional can you be? No worries though! I'll be sure to spread the word that advantage auto is "too busy" to accept anyones business. Thanks! Also interior of shop was very filthy, unorganized, employees were smoking cigarettes while working on customer vehicles and using vulgarity albeit within their own workspace, but door was left so every vulgar word was heard within the lobby. Wow. read more

Have had multiple great experiences at Advantage Automotive, owner is super honest and reliable. Ladies! If you are seriously tired of dealing with mechanic's that insist on pressuring you into "this you should fix" or feeling your getting screwed over and taken advantage of because your a female? Well if your like me I'm over the fussy bull crap all mechanics spit out. I just moved to Murrieta , meaning I needed to find a new mechanic. Let me be your tester mouse and save you some well earned money and time. Advantage automotive has by far exceeded my expectations. I am so impressed by the way this shop is ran. You want honesty and great prices ? You want to go in to a shop and feel like your family and not $$$$ signs then look no further! Take you car here. Don't waste your time and money like I had to, to find the right mechanic that does the right work. I'm very happy with the service I received here , the help a lady deserves when going to predominantly male scope. I wish I could give more stars. Id give 100! Me personally I treat my car like it's one of my kids. It's hard to find someone who will do the same. But thankfully I was finally able to find them. Thanks guys you all are awesome. read more

This is the best mechanics shop in the area...period. They do great work, way reasonable price and they won't rip your head off. One time Mike even told me I should try to get my brakes fixed under the warranty before going ahead with a $400 job which I was fully prepared to do. We have four cars with two of them being classics, a Studebaker and a Buick Electra 225 plus a Chevy Silverado and a Dodge Dakota and they all go to Advantage Auto Care! Quick work too! A friend, who is another collector, recommended Mike at Advantage Auto and that turned out to be one of the best referrals ever! read more

Had an issue with my secondary air pump in my 2001 BMW 330CI. Called and explained my issue. Technician gave me his opinion based on his experience with the same issue with other cars. Didn't try and sell me on coming in to scan the car and answered my questions honestly. His advice helped me fix the issue with my car on my own. Saving me the time and money. Unlike another shop swore that the O2 sensors were not my issue and tried to get me to believe my only solution was to come in and pay to have my car scanned. Which would have cost me at least 125 more than I needed to fix my car. It's getting harder to find the honest and caring people that just want to help people out these days. For sure have any future business I may have on issues I cannot complete myself. Definitely will recommend this business to others. Keep up the honest work! read more

The name of the owner is Micheal. I know him for a year or so. He was my mechanic. I trusted him. When I had an issue on my car, he said its no more good and would be costly to fix it! he lead me to left my car and let him sell the car for me. I left My pink on the dashboard and leased a car. later for some reason I had to leave Temecula and move out. i haven't heard from him for a while then I called him up. He said he cannot sell the car, it doesn't worth, so that I can come down and get my car. I drove to his shop and he said that just wait here until I close my shop and we go together to parking lot after 7:00 pm. I waited and then he said that I go pick up my daughter from school and come back. He left and never answered my phone call and no news from him that day either!! I called a police and I text him and I said that I called a police and he said that he doesn't care and I signed a pink slip and I sold a car to him. I figured that out that he cheated and signed my name and sold my car!! I opened case against him but for some reason i was not able to show up in court, i was out of state! This guy is cheater and he stole my car. I don't recommend him at all to all of you. here is not enough space for explaining, 4243768350 is my number for any questions read more

Extremely unprofessional. From Mike the manager to the entire staff. First of all he told us to bring my car by for an inspection the first day and so we did and when we got there he sent us away and told us to come back another day, that they were too busy VERY rudely (mind you, we had an appointment). So we made an appointment for another day at 10AM. We walk in that day and waited about 30-45 minutes to be seen. Finally he took my car back to do an inspection & while we were waiting, we look into the car bay and see some staff members smoking cigarettes inside and outside the cars they were working on.. made me very uncomfortable. Anyways.. we came for an inspection to get the green light to sell the car which I had previously taken to Pep Boys to get it all checked out and everything was perfect they gave me a green light.. I totally understand the buyer interested wanted to get the car checked out again together, so then we did & I really wish we didn't go to this place.. then come to find out he drove my car off the lot to some car wash, sprayed it down with water he said he did this so he can find scratches and dents (which there were none) now with my car covered in water spots he proceeds to take the women, who is interested in buying the car, outside and speaks to her without my knowledge and before he spoke to me. It is completely fine to talk to a customer but during a business transaction you'd expect the buyer, seller & mechanic to be in the conversation during the business talk. Who knows what he told her. Then he quoted me $1500 to fix an information display in my car and says in front of the buyer interested, "I wouldn't buy a car you can't see the mileage on". Mind you the buyer previously had said she was perfectly ok with everything and that she is very interested, even left me a deposit. I informed her I would take it in get everything checked out and pay to get it fixed also pay for an oil change before I handed it over to her. I then called Honda dealership and they helped me through the process of fixing the screen and steering wheel. The Honda service department told me this .. "When the battery died the information system defaulted to off mode" to turn it back on they had me factor reset the entire instrument cluster (holding a button on the dash for 10 seconds) everything works 100% now. They were even confused why the Mike the mechanic guy couldn't figure that out for himself.. they were so kind to tell me if I sell it and anything goes wrong to have the buyer bring it in and they'll check it out. After all that, I took it to two different places to have it double..triple.. checked and everyone gave me a thumbs up and gave an A+ on everything. I proceed to update the buyer and tell her if she would like to take it to another mechanic together and get it checked out again that is totally fine. She told me she then wasn't interested in the car and she will have to pass (due to what Mike the mechanic told her). I am extremely disappointed at this point because this car is a really great car and has never had any problems with me or the previous owners before me. This man obviously doesn't know anything about cars and couldn't diagnose a problem on a Honda, really? I will never recommend this place to anyone and will NEVER return!! read more

I would defiantly recommend Advantage Auto to anyone who is looking for an honest mechanic who is not going to charge you am arm & a leg. i had travelled to Temecula CA for a family reunion when I had car problems. had my car towed to Advantage Automotive around 6pm on Friday(3/13/2015) because it would not start. I was expecting it to be a starter, alternator, engine problem. The guys looked at my car and called me around 7pm that evening and asked if I had my spare key. Apparently, it was a sensor problem. Took my key to them(730pm)and it started right away!!! I have to say that this was the BEST customer service I had received in a long time. They could have held off even looking at it till Monday, since they were closed on the weekend, which is what the Jeep dealership told me when I called them the same day at 4pm. The best part of the whole situation was that when I asked the gentlemen :How much I owed him" he said "No Charge." To the gentlemen that were working that evening "THANK YOU" you made my weekend. This kind of customer service and courtesy is very had to find in an age when everyone is trying to make a buck!!! read more

I have been taking my vehicles to Advantage from the beginning. This involves at least five vehicles and three drivers, as well as numerous referrals for friends and co-workers. I have found Josh and his staff to be friendly and courteous, always having a few minutes to speak with customers rather than treating them as an inconvenience. Since it is somtimes necessary for me to remain for periods of time because my rides are chronically late, I have been able to observe direct interaction with customers and occasional telephone inquiries. The same excellent treatment I receive as a long-standing customer occurs with everyone that comes into contact with Josh and his staff. Shortly after Josh purchased the business (I had been a customer of the previous owners as well), I experienced a problem with an expensive part that failed much too early. Although he was not part of the business when the repair was completed and could not find the receipt in the records that were left, Josh was more than willing to replace the item at his expense. I considered this to be quite an offer from a new businessman. This level of integrity and commitment to customer service and quality business practices has continued and remains a hallmark of the service and commitment to customers that characterizes this business. As far as automotive service, I have never had a complaint regarding repairs or service. While I'm not a mechanic, I believe I have some knoweldge and understaning of automotive repair. I have never found reason to question the diagnostics or repairs as it has related to my vehicles. Nothing has been suggested that wasn't necessary and there is understandable clear discussion about repairs that are necessary or that can be deferred. On more than one occasion, Josh and his staff have identified pending problems that could have been much more problematic if left unattended. Most recently, he noticed tire issues and advised me to replace the tires before I embarked on a lengthy trip. There was no benefit to him except a concern for the safety of my family (He doesn't sell tires). Service and safety is paramount and there is no "flim flam," only honest quality service. read more

Have been coming here for years. Cannot believe any negative reviews, must take with a grain of salt for sure. My entire family and all coworkers come here and we have had nothing but honest, affordable and timely service and care of our autos. Mike always goes above and beyond and is always there to help out in a pinch. I would, without question, highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of general maintenance or even big repairs. They have succeeded in as big a job as replacing an engine in one of our older cars to a simple, routine oil change for us. Mike communicates with us and even delivered my car to me at work when I couldn't get away to pick it up. This level of service is hard to find and we won't take our cars anywhere else! read more
