I brought my car to Moe after failing two smog checks at "test only" stations. During the duration of my car being at his shop, I found him to be responsive, honest, and helpful. These are attributes that are not always found at mechanic's shops, as we all know. Moe and his helper Jesse found that my thermostat was malfunctioning, and I then realized this had been an issue for several years; very thankful for their diagnosis. They also found my mass air flow sensor to have issues. After replacing these two parts, my car finally passed smog. Throughout the process, Moe called often with updates and was very responsive when I called him on a few occasions. He was very accountable. He also took time to explain the process and answer any questions I had. He never made me feel like I was "inconveniencing" him, as many do. I felt as though I was making a new friend the longer we corresponded. Let's face it, having your car in a shop for any reason, is not a situation you look forward to, but I have to say, Moe made the situation as comfortable as possible and had me thankful when it was over that I had chosen Advanced Auto Smog Star to perform my repairs. read more

My 1990 Toyota pick up truck had already failed smog twice. I brought it to this shop since it had such great reviews. I am very glad I made this decision Jessie and Moe took care of me, they found what was wrong and for a very reasonable price fixed it they even found a loose spark plug wire and a mass airflow sensor that had been inproperly reinstalled and repaired that for no charge these guys are awesome. I refuse to take my car elsewhere for my smog inspection, took my 84 vette in which is trickier to inspect and evaluate and these guys had no issue with any of it and they fixed my engines timing significantly cheaper than any mechanic would have charged and they got my vette road legal again.
