Getting in and out of here, feels like a rather unusual experience. Please be careful in the parking lot. There aren't a lot of spaces, although plenty of stores and restaurants. Once in they most often have the parts, that you are looking for. I'd like to thank them for being fairly competitive. Heck inflation affects us all. They have good deals on windshield fluid, car batteries. As for the cleaning products, large retailers do sell it for less. Always do your research. They have some nice accessories, and good people work here. Can it get busy? Yes but the employees keep things moving along. If in the area, they'll make sure you're good. read more

Theu were open early before 8am which worked out perfectly for me. Today was my only day off for the next two months and therr were some things that I needed to take care of in terms of maintenance, for one truck and an okder car. They had the basic things that I needed minus an air filter for the Toyota. The fuel injector cleaner and brake fluid were the premium expensive brands which I had to settle for aa well. The employee was knowledgeable and heloful, and evenwas abke to checkbthe stock of their neoghboring stores to find out if theynhad the proper air filters that I needed. He directed me to their closest store which I will also go to this morning. This store has generally been good to me. read more

I had a great experience at Advance Auto Parts thanks to Joel. He was very respectful, patient, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. He took the time to listen to what I needed, answered all my questions clearly, and made sure I left with the right parts. You can tell he cares about doing his job well and treating customers right. This kind of service really makes a difference--definitely coming back because of him. read more

I'm never coming back to this store. I came for a simple $3 (tire stem covers) purchase. I should have been in and out in 5 minutes or less. I came in and there was one register open but 4 people working. One was just behind the counter looking at a magazine. One was walking through the aisle, collecting items as later I found out for a lady that stopped him on the floor and opened a register just for her and then left the front after he was done. One guy was outside helping someone with a windshield wiper and later I saw the fourth person come from the back as she came up front to tell one of guys something. Now, this is fun. The guy reading the magazine stopped reading and opened a line. There were 7 customers in line at this point. As he did that, the guy with the open register, finished the customer he was on and closed the register as a customer was walking up and said "I'm leaving". 5 minutes later, the guy with windshield issue outside comes in and opens a line. Then the guy who was reading the magazine, closed his register and starts talking to the guy that came up with the lady and their just talking away with customers waiting. This story is longer than this but I'm too mad and frustrated to finish it. I was in there for 20 minutes for a $3 purchase because no one cared to help the customers they were hired to help. Just go somewhere else unless you're desperate. read more

I never had issues with this place. Always been a great place to stop by and get parts real quick. Probably won't be coming back after today though. Make sure to check that your item is not opened or damaged in any sort when you purchase anything here. I asked an employee regarding a replacement light bulb for my cars headlight. He pulled one from the back, it was $100 and he said make sure to check your cars bulb before installing it. I dont want you to be stuck with a $100 bulb. I thought that was very considerate and proceeded. My brother already bought a bulb for my car and so I wanted to return the bulb that I bought. My brother was nice enough to go to the store to return it and they said no returns if it was opened. I never opened it. I bought it yesterday and threw it in the glove comp. so I can install it during the day. I didn't even take a peep actually. The box looked a bit damaged when he gave it to me but I didn't think too much of it, let alone knew it was even opened. I called them and they said I need to talk to the manager tomorrow morning and he's there till 5pm, quite rudely, but probably because my brother was there an hour ago. Also, I work till 6 and don't have time to stop by so rip. I considered calling tomorrow and I know everyone be like "you didn't even try", but honestly, I'm pretty dead from everything and I don't want to deal with more bullshh. I don't really mind that it was a $100 (yes, I know you can get them cheaper), but I'm more pissed off at the whole situation, when a tiny bulb should be the least of my problems. But yeah, I guess I'm stuck with $100 light bulb, thats probably been used, and a salty taste in my mouth. Thank Adv. Auto Parts! read more

This is your standard auto parts store you can find anywhere in the country . The salesperson that helped me was very nice , and out my battery in while out in the freezing cold . Somehow during the process one of my cables had an issue and he fixed it for me for FREE! It wasn't anything major , but he went the extra mile and didn't have to . I will be back to this store . read more

This store is a perfect example of why Amazon is destroying brick and mortar stores. I walked in to purchase 4 NGK BP6ET spark plugs ($3.69) each. There were 4 people working. 1 Person was helping a customer at the front desk 1 Person was on the phone 1 Person was helping someone with a battery 1 Person was putting items on the back shelves I waited at the counter waiting for my turn with another person behind me. The person on the phone (mustache man) saw 2 people waiting in line, but took a walk in that had a return. He knew two people were waiting in line and deliberately skipped us. The guy behind me made a comment put his item back on the shelf and walked out. I don't like making a scene (I guess the guy behind me didn't either), so I decided to give it a little longer. After 5 more minutes I walked out. Is the guy in the back (who had 4 items on his cart) incapable of helping a customer? I knew the part number. I checked the online inventory beforehand and should have been in and out in 5 minutes. There were only 2 customers when I walked in, it isn't hard to keep track of who is in line (especially since we were standing... in line) when there are only 4 customers in the store. Even if I purchased online and did an in store pick up I would have still been waiting. Never again. Either way the convenience of this store being next to my work is lost on me now. I paid $3.42 for each spark plug on Amazon, but I would have gladly paid $5 each. https://goo.gl/33f3jK It is crazy that an internet company that outsources their customer service has better customer service than a store down the street. read more

I placed an order on November 19 for a same-day delivery online. Before the day ended my items did not arrive and so I called the store and they said that it will be delivered same day. The items did not come. I called again on November 20 to follow up and was told the same thing. The items never came. And so I called the onlineSupport and I was told that they will follow up on it. It is now November 22, in my item never arrived. read more

These guys were my lifesavers. My car battery died in a nearby shopping center, and after several attempts to jump it, my sister and I realized that the battery had corroded and wasn't coming back to life. We're not from Springfield, so we drove around from repair shop to repair shop (most of which weren't open on Sundays) until we were referred to Advanced Auto Parts for the best price on a new car battery. Not only did the guys behind the counter give us a great deal, but they went completely above and beyond when they heard that my car was still dead nearby. One of them personally drove over and installed the battery himself, no extra charge. Note: I was told that this isn't a service they usually provide, so I wouldn't count on it - but thank goodness they did. They saved me the cost of a tow truck or the hassle of bringing the battery back and installing it myself. Can't say enough great things! Great price, above-and-beyond customer service, and professional. read more

Came to buy a simple item. Was told that they could not sell me anything because the computers took to long to boot up.

Great service! I was so happy when I came to this store. I had a vague idea of what was wrong with my car. I was helped by the employee named kamil who went out of his way to listen to the problem and directed me in the right direction for the solution. I would recommend to anyone just because of the great service and attitude from the employees. read more

This review is NOT about the installation of wiper blades but about the sales policies of Advanced Auto Parts. We have been customers of this company for many years but just had a bad experience with them. The Online price for Trico Neoform Wiper Blade 26" is $16.99. The same product in the store is $26.99. If you go down to their store and purchase it, they will not honor the online price. Instead you have to order online and check ship to store. We unfortunately, didn't know that. After buying a couple of wiper blades (a 26" and a 22") in the Backlick Road Springfield store and having them installed, we were charged the store price. We asked if we could return them and order them online. They said "No" since the blades were installed. You must order online to get the online price and that's the store policy. Total was $52 instead of an online price of $34. It's policies like this that end up in a company losing customers. We will not buy from Advance Auto Parts again. read more

I went yesterday to the Advance Auto Parts store here at 531 W Alexis Rd Toledo, OH 43612 # 8506. I was waited on by Donna C. Sometimes locating a part for your own car is as simple in the time alotted. So I asked Donna for some help on getting a new Window Washer Nozzle, also a filter for my Engine, She immediately went on the computer , popped up the info and said we presently are out of stock , but I can have it here for you tomorrow at approximately 11:00 am. I said I have an appointment for the 2nd shot for the Covid-19 Vaccine at 2:00 pm I can stop by afterwards and pick it up. She ordered it and see we're glad to help you and see you tomorrow. This Donna was so polite and courteous so very pleasant, Places should have employees like her. Even after that, I was very comfortable in having her help me with also getting new Headlight bulbs for my vehicle, she said come with me and I can show you which ones they are, and she went on to explain the 3 different types that were available for an exact fit for my vehicle. Now after hearing this, I thought if I had a business like this I would make sure she helped new employees were trained in the way she treats and helps Customers. I would pay her better only so I wouldn't loose. She is a Model Employee. THANK YOU Very Much Advance Auto for Hiring this Awesome Lady, she (( IS )) definitely a model Employee and Has Great People Skills. Again Thank You Very Much ! Most Sincerely, Daryl H. read more

Come and listen to a story about a man named Ted, needed a new battery cause his old one's dead, went to the store to get a one anew, little did he know he's about to be screwed! Now that you're listening. Needed a new battery. Went to Advance 7448 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA. Got a new battery, took it home, put it in. Turn the key, nothing, zip, nada. Absolutely nothing. Took a voltage meter and tested battery. Supposed to be 12 to 12.5 volts. Not 12, not 11 or 10 or 9. ZERO! So dead it had no reading at all. Took it out to return it and noticed manufacture date on the side, 11/2015!! The freaking battery I was just given was 7 years old. How do you have a battery that old; how do you sell a battery that old, and how do you not take a tester and spend literally 30 seconds testing a battery before you give it to a customer? Unfortunately/fortunately they didn't have a replacement, so got a refund. No apology, nothing. Good news, went 2 miles down the street to Pep Boys and got a battery. Their battery, manufactured 12/2022, less than a month old, and literally half the price. $90 vs $212! Installed it, car fired right up. Lesson here, make them check the battery before you leave the store. Better yet, go to another store. read more

Just moved to the area and needed new wipers for my new car after only 6 months (how disappointing!). The crew at this Advance Auto Parts location was nothing short of extraordinary! Not only did they assist me in locating the right parts for my car, but they made sure I got the best deal on parts that they trust and use on their own vehicles. Tom, the general manager, installed my new wiper blades and disposed of the packaging and my old blades too! Overall a phenomenal customer service experience. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be back for any future auto needs! Bravo to Tom and his crew! read more

I came in with my son to look around and show him some essentials to car parts, but I was pestered by an employee the entire time I was there. I kept getting asked if I was looking for anything after repeatedly saying I was just looking around, nothing seemed to change. I then took my son to the back so he could use the restroom, but one of the workers stared at us as if we were about to steal something. Due to this, we decided to leave and not purchase anything from this store. It's safe to say I will never be coming back to this store again. read more

This place is terrible. Their prices are worse than their competitors, and like others have said, the staff are bad, and the place is managed horribly. This must be a privately-owned franchise, where the owner is the GM, because corporate would never tolerate soiling of their brand, and owner would never tolerate bad managers. Unless they don't know how bad this store really is. Sad. read more

As Matt said slow slow slow. I'm 100% agree with him. Caz they take phone call first instead to taking people waiting in line.

Bought 1 thing and installed it. Didn't even work. Could have been disaterous if disastrous if I didn't notice. Imagine all the fluid leaking out and car ruined over $10 part........Never going there again ever. Mechanic put a new part on after charging $90 to test it and realizing its all fine. read more

Not sure what happen here but it was late afternoon and maybe saw 4 employees and yet still not enough for them to support each other. Waiting in line over 10 minutes which felt like forever in a retail store. 2 employees outside with advance auto free install/ diagnose services. While the other 2 lacking in handling the 7-8 customers in the store waiting. As many locations in the area and yet the quality of service is still the same. 1 employee could not explain the difference in the greases they carry. Unfortunately will be visiting again to this location as well as others because most of the time because they have parts or tools in need on the fly. read more

I shopped in this store about a month ago. From the time u walked in, I received a look from one of their workers that didn't belong there. I paid him no mind as I began shopping. As I was looking at steering wheel covers, that same man came around and inched close to me as if doing inventory, however, he was looking at me every few seconds. Can't do inventory like that Continuing, I moved on to another isle to look at cleaning supplies, and sure enough, that man was doing inventory in that isle. At that point, I should have left or said something, but I didn't want to cause a scene. I spent a few more minutes and chose my items.I then went to the front to check out. As the person at the register was ringing the items up, I informed in a light hearted way that I hoped thay they didn't think that I wanted to steal their stuff. She quickly and coldly said no. She wouldn't make eye contact with me. After paying for my items and began walking out of the store, that same man was in the isle almost blocking my way out. I walked straight out without giving an inch and not caring if I bumped him on the way out. Fortunately, he leaned as to avoid me running into him. There was no need for him even being in that isle simply as a matter of common courtesy. It's barely wide enough for one person. I've made multiple attempts to reach their corporate office, but they will not return my calls. At best, some members of this staff are rude, cold, and callus. At worst, they might be bigoted. Either way, I will not be back to this store. Good riddance. If u could give negative stars, I would give -10 Stars. read more

Went in earlier because I was having battery issues. After running an inconclusive diagnostic on my battery I purchased a few items and left. Battery was dead again in the afternoon so I jumped it and went to Advance to replace the battery. The time was 6:30 when I got to the register to purchase a new battery. I was told that they do not install batteries after a certain time because they needed two people in the store at all times. When they had three (15 minutes prior) they could have done it but said their policy is when there are only two there are no more battery and windshield wiper installs the rest of the evening. I wish that was posted somewhere in the store! He (the clerk) did offer me tools and said it was very simple to do. I know this, but I went there specifically because they say they do it. That is one of the selling points for me to go there! Not sure if i'll go back, they have been my "go to" for auto parts for years. Very disappointed! read more
