Two weeks ago, I attempted, but Buford Hwy was shut down at a point with no warning. Finally, I had to re-route my trip, arriving at 5:02. Today, I happened to be 20 mins away after a doc appt and took the chance. Well, just ad I got close, there was a wreck right past the exit! 50 mins later, I arrived at the center at 4:54. Quickly grabbed my Jaguar battery and struggled across the lot. A man unlocks the office door to tell me his system is down and proceeded to chastise me for my arrival time. I beseeched him to service me, expressing my exasperation with my latest attempts and how few centers are available. Dan responded impatiently with how he has to be there at 7am, and he would have to pay overtime...workers want to get home to their kids, etc. So, after putting the battery back in my vehicle, I knocked on the office door and asked if he would extend some concession for a future visit. To my surprise, he threw out an insulting 5%!!! "That doesn't even cover taxes." I replied. Clearly Dan did not care nor appreciate my business. I understood about the system being down, but he made NO ATTEMPT at demonstrating that he would like to keep me as a customer. He operated like a government office--'You need us more than we need you, you little nobody'. Although I pulled out the largest battery, I had two more I wanted to swap, but would've been satisfied with servicing one, OR providing an appreciation discount for my next hour long trek. The store hours can use expanding by at least 30 minutes, especially since Metro traffic has swelled and road construction is ongoing, not to mention the usual. I was highly surprised, disappointed and disgusted with Dan's mediocrity for such a highly regarded product. Ms. President

I promptly went to this location because it was going to save me about $200 verses the dealership. Immediately, he treated me as if he didn't want to help. Muffling things like "oh my reader is saying I shouldn't touch your car" "the dealer is a criminal they want to steal your money, I've worked there before" "turn your car on and off, nothing is wrong with this battery" "there's too many warning codes" .... I had paperwork saying I needed a battery and it threatened my integrity. I grew up around the car business and this is NOT how you treat a customer that ultimately pays your bills. I am a young professional that takes exceptional care of my paid off well maintained vehicle. I felt discouraged, frustrated and unseen. He then told me "if I put the battery in, and you have to get it towed to the dealer don't blame me". Sir, what happened to you just saying you COULDN'T replace my battery? I feel almost profiled. As a woman, by herself I hope that he doesn't treat others this way as the face of Advance Auto Parts. I went to AutoZone and they felt SO embarrassed that I was treated this way at ANOTHER company, their competitor nonetheless that they gave me an extra 20% off and instantly put the battery in, took away the old one and even SHOOK MY HAND. I hope this is a learning lesson for associates at Advance Auto, I'll never come back.

They also missed some line-x in the tie-down holes on the bed, and didn't get a great line where the bed meets the cab, not super critical, but if i had noticed it while i was there I would have asked them to fix it. While working on the truck the owner asked me where I purchased my running boards, and when I told him amazon, he promptly turned around and, not one foot from my face, yelled, "What the F*** are you doing supporting those A**H****?!?!" That is an exact quote!! Also before I left they glued a "line-x of Lawrenceville" plastic placard into the bed of my truck, and as soon as I saw it I asked them to remove it. The owner first tried to tell me it was to verify warranty work (blatant lie as that is done by the truck's VIN), and when I told him that was not acceptable, he told me, "don't worry, you'll get used to it!" I explained that I would not get used to it, and I would be removing it as soon as I got home. It came off easily enough, but left some glue remnants I'm not thrilled about.
