Tyler improvised and replaced the connector to the post which allowed me to leave with a new battery.

Don't you just love when your check engine light comes on out of no where while you're driving on…read morethe road? Well, that happened to me recently and with my baby girl in the car. Normally, I wouldn't be so quick to take action, but with this new precious cargo in my backseat, I can't take any chances. I was almost home and remembered this AutoZone is right in the Publix shopping center I always go to so I thought, why don't I just go see if they have a code reader so I can at least get the code to help solve the problem. Or at least get to step one and help me know what the costs are going to be. When I walked in, no one was behind the counter but a gentleman quickly came over and asked how he could help. I told him my check engine light just came on and asked if he could plug in a code reader for me, and before I could even finish my question, he had already pulled it from the drawer below him and was ready to help. We walked out to my car in the parking lot, and he got everything all connected and quickly read off the code to me. He even wrote it on a post-it note for me to make sure I had it, which I then took a photo of in case I lost track of the post-it. I asked him what I owe, and he quickly told me I don't owe a thing, and to be safe. The sweetest guy and great experience!! I will certainly be back here for any future auto needs!

Cecil was awesome. I called into the store after have not one, but two bad total pro remanufactured…read morealternators from a different autozone location. I told Cecil what was going on and he told me he had a duralast gold (new, not remanufactured) waiting for me at the store. He remembered my name when I came in 30 minutes later and swapped the alternators, the difference was about $230 in price for the new alternator, but he didn't charge me anything! I was shocked and really appreciated that he understood the situation. I went into the original location I got the two prior and they told me they'd charge me the difference for the next best (remanufactured) alternator plus a small discount (10% ) so I would've still been paying out of pocket for one. Needless to say, I know what location and who I will be getting my parts from. Cecil, thanks for helping me keep my wife and daughter safe.

Excellent work and the service writer kept me informed all throughout the process…read more We'll be back again.

After 20+ years of my family bringing our vehicles to Scott's Auto, I'm extremely disappointed to…read moresay this will be our last time. Originally, I had Akebono brake pads installed on my vehicle based on Scott's Auto's recommendation. Unfortunately, I had to bring my car back at least six times over the course of several months trying to resolve ongoing brake issues related to that setup. After repeatedly dealing with the problem and getting frustrated, I decided to try a different option and asked them to install NAPA Adaptive One brakes, which had been recommended to me by another dealer. Scott's Auto went ahead and installed them without hesitation. However, no one bothered to inform me that those brakes were not really intended for my specific vehicle or that there may have been a better option. Additionally, I was never told they wouldn't be covered under warranty. As the professionals working on my car, I would have expected them to at least tell me that the parts I requested weren't the best choice and recommend something more appropriate. The most frustrating part is that John only told me this AFTER the brakes were already installed and said word verbatim "I would have never put these on your vehicle." Had I known that beforehand, I would never have chosen to put them on in the first place. The entire situation could have easily been avoided with a simple conversation. When I tried to discuss this with John, the response I received was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of acknowledging the situation or understanding why I was upset, he told me "you're a grown adult, you can make your own decisions." That completely misses the point. Of course I can make my own decisions--but I trusted the professionals I've been going to for decades to inform me if something I requested wasn't appropriate for my vehicle. Rather than taking any accountability, John accused me of arguing and said he didn't want to have a debate. I wasn't looking for a debate--I was looking for a reasonable explanation and basic customer service. After two decades of loyalty, the way this was handled was shocking. Between the repeated visits to fix the original brake issue and the dismissive way I was treated afterward, John provided one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Unfortunately, after 20+ years of service, Scott's Auto has officially lost my business and the business of my entire family. Congratulations.
