After looking up the part, we walked to the aisle and she told me it's cheaper to buy a two pack. Josh: "I see, so it's $28.99 for a sin--" Lady: "Um, that's the price for a single." Josh: "K..." Lady: "And see if you do the math, you'll see it's around $58 for two if you buy them individually, which is more than $50 for the two pack." Dumb, but anyways that's not that bad. Then at the counter, she gave a disgustingly condescending "You'll come back to see me when the other one burns out." My f'ing goodness. Why not give a kind "I recommend you buy two because chances are the other may burn out soon also"? To my favorite condescending prick, if you're reading this, do you not see how this is the proper way to talk to people?

However, it speaks volume when that same character of exquisiteness translates to customer service. Even though my service bill was substantially higher than most, Tobias Gilmour put mind at ease and restored my confidence in their standard with top tier quality in car servicing. RBM of Alpharetta has shown nothing less than superior customer service with handling my car and great communication. As a entrepreneur with mechanic history and with a family of mechanics, I would like personally Thank you Tobias and thank RBM for such great service! I will return soon for a new auto purchase!

Extremely Disappointing Sales Experience - Poor Communication and Follow-Up…read moreI contacted RBM of Alpharetta through Cars.com because I was seriously interested in purchasing a Mercedes they had for sale. I am located in Houston, Texas, and was prepared to drive to Georgia immediately to purchase the vehicle if we could agree on the numbers. Unfortunately, my experience with Lori Mohr was extremely disappointing from the beginning. I submitted my lead the evening before and received only an automated response. By around noon the following day, after the dealership had already been open for approximately five to six hours, I still had not received a personal phone call or meaningful response from Lori. I finally called the dealership myself and spoke with Travis in new-car sales. I specifically told Travis that I preferred to work with him because Lori had not followed up with me. A manager later called and encouraged me to give Lori another opportunity, telling me that she was a great salesperson and would take care of me throughout the transaction. I agreed. I then provided Lori with all of my trade-in information and even sent her copies of two purchase orders from Mercedes-Benz dealers in Houston. I made my position extremely simple: if RBM could match the deal I already had available in Houston, I was prepared to drive from Houston to Georgia and purchase their vehicle immediately. After providing everything requested, I heard nothing from Lori for the remainder of the day. The following day, I waited approximately another five hours after the dealership opened before finally texting her myself asking where we stood. She responded that she was working on it. Another day passed with no meaningful update. The next morning, around 9:00 a.m., I again had to remind her that I was a serious customer waiting on an answer and was prepared to drive from Houston to Georgia to purchase this vehicle. Approximately four hours later, I finally received a response simply telling me they could not match the deal. I have absolutely no issue with a dealership being unable to match another dealer's price. That's business. My issue is the complete lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service throughout the process. There was no phone call explaining the numbers, no attempt to see whether there was another way to make the deal work, and not even a simple "Thank you for the opportunity" after I had spent several days trying to purchase a vehicle from them. What makes the situation more disappointing is that I had already expressed my concerns about Lori's lack of responsiveness to management at the beginning of the process. I was specifically assured that communication would not be a problem. Unfortunately, the exact same problem continued. When someone is willing to drive from Houston, Texas, to Alpharetta, Georgia, to purchase a vehicle, provides complete trade information, and supplies competing purchase orders showing exactly what it would take to earn their business, I would expect considerably better communication from a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Lori Mohr or RBM of Alpharetta. The issue wasn't that they couldn't match the price--it was how poorly the potential customer was handled from beginning to end. There are too many Mercedes-Benz dealerships willing to communicate promptly and professionally for a customer to have to repeatedly chase a salesperson just to get an answer.

I am a Honda Master Technician, and have been for 27 years. I know all of the typical auto service industry tactics, and what poor quality is when it comes to having your vehicle repaired. That being said, once I decided to take my career path toward the corporate world, you would think that I would not go back to Honda Carland or its Service Center, and you'd be wrong. Again, I know what quality is when it comes to having your Honda and Acura repaired, because of my experience. Yes, I do my own oil changes, but I still need to visit the dealer for my company car, where I could choose ANY Honda dealer in the Atlanta area. Knowing what I know, I willingly choose to have my car(s) serviced by the Service Center because I trust the technicians working there having worked with them in the past. No, I don't get preferential treatment. No, I don't get discounts. No, I wasn't asked to post this. I am not a shill for Honda Carland, and never will be. I get the feeling that the bad reviews here are people who take their cars to Pep Boys and expect dealership quality. I for one keep coming back, even when I have the experience and resources to do things myself.
