Early Saturday morning it can sometimes be difficult to find a restroom and a business that would allow customers to use them. --Products/Service-- I grab the O'Reilly brand of oil. It was quick and easy. No issues with their products. --Capacity-- Big open, but not super sized, can holder 40-50 people. At the time, I was just interested in a quote and I told them that I would contact them again to finalize a deal if I couldn't find anyone to beat this quote. I ended up going out of town and forgot about my side project. Cut back a month later, I contact Pull-A-Part last week to sell my vehicle to them. The Operator then low-balled me with a different number than what they first offered and offered me $380. I was upset with this new number since I was expecting them to match their initial offer. I begrudgingly brought up this point and the Operator came back with a new offer of $410 for pickup on Saturday 7/12/2024. Since I was tired of dealing with this entire project, I agreed and we set an appointment to pick up my vehicle at 9am. I received a confirmation email and made preparations to have the vehicle picked up on Saturday at our agreed time. Come Saturday, I received ZERO correspondence from the hauler and at 0945am I contacted Pull-A-Part to ask if they were enroute. The Operator stated that they did not know when the hauler would arrive and that I would be contacted. Since I received no correspondence an HOUR after they were supposed to, I asked to reschedule for Monday. The Operator advised that the hauler would reschedule to Monday and did not provide a new time. The Operator stated that they "could not provide a time for Monday." I found this statement to be incredibly unprofessional since they were happy to provide a time when they first tried to low-ball me. I agreed to an ambiguous Monday reschedule. Today is Monday and you can guess that no one has contacted me and no one has come to get the vehicle. At this point, I'm sure that this business is some kind of scam.

I asked the white male at the front desk if they'd be able service my vehicle and he said I would have to take it to the dealership because it was an electrical issue. Which was odd because I've had thousands of dollars worth of work done at this location. Normally they would suggest a diagnostic to get down to exactly what the issue was. I found another Pep Boys location on Scenic Hwy and the gentleman assisted me and gave me additional information on what caused the issue. I realized this location refused to service me because they're RACIST!!!! Imagine turning down money because you don't like the way someone looks. I'm glad I took my black business and dollars to a location that deserved it in the end! I will never visit this location again!

I promptly went to this location because it was going to save me about $200 verses the dealership. Immediately, he treated me as if he didn't want to help. Muffling things like "oh my reader is saying I shouldn't touch your car" "the dealer is a criminal they want to steal your money, I've worked there before" "turn your car on and off, nothing is wrong with this battery" "there's too many warning codes" .... I had paperwork saying I needed a battery and it threatened my integrity. I grew up around the car business and this is NOT how you treat a customer that ultimately pays your bills. I am a young professional that takes exceptional care of my paid off well maintained vehicle. I felt discouraged, frustrated and unseen. He then told me "if I put the battery in, and you have to get it towed to the dealer don't blame me". Sir, what happened to you just saying you COULDN'T replace my battery? I feel almost profiled. As a woman, by herself I hope that he doesn't treat others this way as the face of Advance Auto Parts. I went to AutoZone and they felt SO embarrassed that I was treated this way at ANOTHER company, their competitor nonetheless that they gave me an extra 20% off and instantly put the battery in, took away the old one and even SHOOK MY HAND. I hope this is a learning lesson for associates at Advance Auto, I'll never come back.

So I go back a few days later to swap them out for the correct rotors. Well the manager Jeff was very rude and arrogant. He also tried charging me 26$ more for the rotors I need which were cheaper than the ones they gave me. He doesn't need to be a manager. He's not good in customer service. Really he doesn't need to interact with customers at all. I will no longer be using advanced auto in dawsonville. I've now wasted 3 hours of driving and time,gas to get the correct rotors from advanced.

Straight forward and direct…read more I've worked in the auto business for 20+yrs, and I've worked with some shady folks in those years. I've heard every line, and just about every excuse for not following through. I've dealt with junkyard and salvage yards hundreds of times, and these guys have been there for me multiple times (in both the old and new location). I needed an engine for my personal car this go'round, and of the two people I spoke with on the phone, they both genuinely seemed to care about what I was looking for, and when I needed it by. There was some confusion over one engine this, and another engine that, but that's because there was a communication gap between phone calls, and HPC cannot be blamed for this. Donor arrived at their site, then they pulled the engine and had me an engine the same day the donor arrived, and then a phone call to let me know it was ready for pickup. Cool. Being an old technician, I do all my own work, so I just needed them to source the engine this go'round. The mileage was written on the valve-cover, and the VIN plate was still attached so I could do some background check on the car it came out of. Neat. My only gripe is that the parking lot can be tough to get in and out of when they are busy, but that happens at every business, so it's no biggie. I'll be back when I need something else.

They also stated they had not told me it was ready so I shouldn't be there to pick it up. 1) Don't trust the web page. 2) When they say "ready in one hour" they don't mean it. When I brought up the inconvenience they were neither apologetic or willing to offer me any compensation. I RECOMMEND GOING ELSEWHERE! They wasted my time. Despite the owner's comment below, they made literally no effort to remediate the issue. 100% apathetic and uncaring.
