    Rubber seal to windshield

    I brought my vehicle to Advanced Autobody after Walnut Creek Dodge failed to complete the repair on my 2016 Dodge Challenger after a year and four months at the dealership. My initial contact with Rich from Advanced seemed promising. He was able to diagnose the wind noise coming into the cockpit of the vehicle, he was able to diagnose the SXM radio failure, and he was able to figure out my rear defroster problem and sunglass holder issue. The estimate occurred on June 28, 2025, and I picked up the vehicle on August 6, 2025 after the repairs were completed. Shortly after I picked up my vehicle, the same day August 6, I noticed right away the SXM radio started failing again. I contacted Rich who responded right away, he thought it might be a bad antenna. On August 25, Rich lets me know he will need to take my car to a stereo store. He will contact me as soon as there is an opening. I waited patiently and after 47 days, I text Rich on October 11. Rich responded he had some other activities going on and he will contact me on Tuesday. That would make it October 13. I waited until November 13. I texted Rich and he didn't respond. At that point it's 33 additional days since I heard from Rich. I text Rich again on Thursday November 20 to let him know my plans to rate their performance. Rich immediately responded and tried to blame CSAA for their lack of response. However, I confirmed the last communication Rich had with CSAA was from August 11. Rich's next email was sent on November 18. Rich did not contact CSAA until 90+ days later. While Advanced Autobody were able to fix some things, they also damaged my windshield trim. In closing, Rich with Advanced Autobody can talk the talk, but when it comes to finishing. They can't do it. I would think twice before taking my vehicle here as they don't follow up. Over one hundred days and the wind noise still comes into the cockpit, the radio still goes in and out and now the windshield rubber seal is damaged by them. It wasn't like that before.

    A few weeks ago someone hit my car in a parking lot while I was in the store. Upon discovering the damage I decided to bring my car here due to it being convenient to my work and the reviews I read here on Yelp. I have to say that I'm happy I made the decision. Everyone I met and spoke to were super friendly, helpful and made the entire experience more painless than I expected. A big thanks to all of you, from the ladies up front to the guys who did the work on my car. Hopefully I'll never have to use their services again, but if I do then I know my car will be in good hands. Highly recommend to anyone in need of a body shop and you won't regret it. Not the best pics but here are before and after pics.

    Sent my parent's sports car to Advance Auto Body after an adjuster-friend recommended them. The owner, Renee, has been in the insurance and automotive industry a long time, she's exactly the person you want on your side when your vehicle is in need of auto body repairs. The work is absolutely meticulous and top notch. Better-than-factory work. I could not even see orange peel. Perfectionist-grade work. Every detail is taken into consideration. Renee will work with you every step of the way to make this a smooth process. She'll deal with the adjusters who often want to cut corners. Having dealt with dozens of body shops in my lifetime, I will send all referrals to Advance Auto Body in Martinez, California from now on.

    Had such a great experience with Advanced Auto Body! I took in my 2023 Sonata. they got the pictures over to State Farm so quickly and got everything approved in no time. Rich was amazing at keeping me updated every step of the way, and I even got my car back earlier than expected. They were on top of everything and made the whole process super smooth. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of, was even offered coffee and a biscotti right away. I was so happy when I picked up my car, and to top it all off, they even washed it! Excellent customer service all around. 100/10! Huge thanks to everyone there for helping me feel at ease during a stressful time.

    I got rear ended two times in 6 months and we took both vehicles to this shop for estimates on…read morerepairs and both times they were ultimately deemed losses. The first time I understood, the car was old. I had no problems with the service and returned to them again for my next car. I had issues with the service from the very beginning, some of which were also due to lack of coordination with insurance companies, but overall I did not like the shop's handling of it. Insurance sent over a request for a work order, but then erroneously cancelled it. I called to set up an appointment to bring in my car and G&C told me they could see the work order but it was cancelled. I set the appointment date and contacted the insurance to say the autobody shop thought this work order was cancelled. Insurance guy texts me back that it is uncancelled and then set me up with a rental car to start the same day as the appointment. Well, I went to the appointment a week later and g&c said the order had never been uncancelled. This ultimately is the insurance's fault I guess, but some sort of failure of communication between all parties took place, and I wasted my time bringing in a car to an appointment where they didn't have permission to evaluate it it. I left and got things straightened out-- brought my car back 2 days later, not a big deal, and the insurance approved the repair estimates. Then g&c increased their repair estimates, but it was still covered. Next g&c had to get a part for my car which took time. Then that part came damaged/not up to par. Great, thanks for looking out for me. They had to order another new part, which took like ten days to arrive, while my car is just sitting there and I'm still in a rental. Finally it came in and then they started to actually work on my car and suddenly they told the insurance my car was a total loss. This turned into a big ordeal where that insurance company had to tap out and we had to change to our insurance policy covering the claim, but during that whole process NO ONE from the autobody shop bothered to call me or reply to my texts for nearly two weeks. I specifically texted them for updates/explanations and was not responded to for days and days and then I had to call THEM for them to explain to me it wasn't just the cost of repairs that increased, my car was irreparable. This car was only a few years old and had 12k miles on it. I don't know what happened to it after, but I imagine it still had life to it, since it was still perfectly drivable. I don't know cars, but it probably sold well as a salvage car. Sus. Anyway, this shop kept my car for a MONTH AND A HALF, didn't communicate with me for the last two weeks, got paid to store the car while doing nothing most of that time, and wasted my time by not accurately accessing the damage. I am not someone who normally would write a negative review, but looking back I really am dissatisfied with my experience with this business and God forbid anything happens to my new car, I will not be returning here again.

Fixed the dent, but chipped paint to metal and gouged trim…read more The Good: ​Service was cordial initially. ​Timeline was met for the original dent repair. ​The Bad: ​New Damage: My Model 3 came back with new damage to the paint and window liner that was not there before. ​Suspicious Behavior: At pickup, the car was parked so close to a chain-link fence I couldn't check the driver's side. ​Zero Accountability: I have photos from drop-off proving the damage wasn't there. I showed them this proof. They ignored my calls for a week, and eventually said they would not help other than applying touch-up paint. ​I cannot recommend a shop that damages a customer's vehicle and then refuses to make it right despite photographic evidence. Avoid.
