Extremely disappointed with their professionalism. The morning my cement was scheduled to be poured…read moreI called to confirm the yardage. Right before hanging up I asked if I could provide my credit card information then, in order to avoid the individuals I had there helping with the pour to have to deal with my credit card or providing them the check. This is when I was then, for the first time, told they only accept cash. Mind you, I had spoken to them at least 4 times the week prior, this is 2 hours prior to the pour at 9 a.m., I am at work, banks do not open until 9 a.m., I have 5 guys at my house from 2 hours away at my house ready to do the pour, and Hunderman & Sons never once mentioned this to me until that moment. If I hadn't asked I would have never known until they were physically at my house to pour the cement. I asked, due to the circumstances of them never mentioning this prior, if I could pay with check - no, if I could do partial cash and partial check - no. It was an extremely frustrating morning and I was required to leave work (thankfully I have an understanding boss), to go get money out when the bank opened at 9. Myself, like the average person, doesn't just carry $1,300 on them at all times. I cannot believe a company in this day and age doesn't have the ability to take a credit card or have the decency to make an exception when the cause was clearly their lack of communication. Also, the cement itself had multiple large chunks 9-10 (probably 8-9" diameter each) within it. Certainly would not recommend them to anyone else.

Just laid off over 50 workers with no notice, terminating their insurance same day. My reviews…read moreposted to Google are not being shown publicly for some reason. Mistreated, poorly paid, exploited workers. Company likes to hire people with poor english and thus are easier to exploit or they lure people in with lies about a BS apprenticeship program that doesn't exist. Company seems to be moving towards an "Amazon-like" model of high-turnover, low pay. They're cleaning house of their long-time employees (i.e., people actually making somewhat-decent wages) in order to bring in cheap, exploitable, labor. The company has a mechanical engineer in charge of their electrical panel department and it's a total mess (to say nothing of the other departments). Workers constantly have wrong materials, not enough materials, outdated build instructions, or no instructions at all. Everyone has to pretty much teach themselves the job because training is non-existent--these are self-taught or just straight up untrained people assembling electrical components. Products are always riddled with errors and mistakes that then need to be caught and fixed. Management are typical sharks who only care about the bottom line and will string you along with BS as long as it benefits them. It's like they think people have only a 5-minute memory with how they contradict themselves telling everybody one week that business is booming, and then laying them off the next Monday. If you know anything about unemployment insurance, you know being laid off on a Monday is a middle finger to and an additional financial burden on the person being laid off as it doubles the time they have to wait to start receiving unemployment benefits. If you're looking for a job and you're interested in doing something electrical related, whether you have experience or not, check out the IBEW and give them a call. With locations in Coopersville, Lansing, Mount Pleasant, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Bay City, + countless more, they offer real, legitimate, world-class training, high wages, multi-dollar raises you can count on, pensions, healthcare, brotherhood, family, and dignity. A career you can actually be proud of. After only 4 years in the union, I've more than doubled my income, with even more money coming my way this year. If you're a current floor employee at Roman, talk to your fellow colleagues on the floor (not management or HR) about organizing with a union and what they can do for you. Real, substantive improvements can be won. If you're looking to be a client of Roman's, well, current clients are jumping ship and Roman is laying off their workforce. Does that seem like a good omen for a business?

I've been in the photography business for over 13 years and used many different printers, all whom…read moreI've experienced excellent customer service until today. I ordered a small 5x7 mini gallery mount on Oct 7th, 2021 with USPS shipping of 3-5 days. It is Nov 10th and I have still not received the item. I called customer service and spoke to "H" about this issue, and she told me that it was my responsibility to contact the postal service to locate and retrieve the item because it was not their fault that they lost print. Aside from a superficial sorry, no other effort was made on their end to show their apology for this month long inconvenience, not even a small discount code. I asked if they would consider reprinting this small item and have it reshipped, but she started telling me how it would cost them $18 plus shipping to resend and it's not their fault that it got lost in the mail. This print costed me $15 plus $5.70 shipping, I know it costs Prolabexpress much less to produce this. Also, I found it highly unprofessional and petty that she told me how much it would cost the company to have it reprinted, and made me as the customer feel like I wasn't worth that amount of money to help me solve this delivery issue. Instead, I have to jump through hoops, contact USPS, track this package down and try to get it reshipped to my client. Totally unprofessional and petty. I've already called my credit card company to dispute the charge because I still have not received the item I paid for. I will not be giving my business to this company again because if your print never arrives, they will take your money, place blame on the carrier and tell you to go figure it out yourself. Other printers and companies that I've dealt with happily reshipped out another copy and offered a promo code for future orders for the inconvenience. Unfortunately Prolabexpress does not believe in customer service first, only the $18 plus shipping that they would have to spend to reprint and ship my order. Shame on you!
