Santo Taco USED to be the well-priced value spot for authentic Mexican food..Not anymore…read more And I'm just not that into what they call a birria taco around here..Too much meat, not enough cheese, and to be true "quesabirria"-style they need to be griddled much more (like Del Barrio does). Plus their consommé was a too bitter for my liking. Al pastor here is the much better option - greasy, saucy, tender and flavorful chunks of pork. But these are average sized street tacos, not worth the $4.00-4.50 per price tag. I also tried their asada steak fries, one of the worst I've ever had. Fries were swimming in waay too much cheap, nasty Velveeta-style cheese, NO GUACAMOLE, and not nearly enough asada meat.***It's hard to believe, but an order of these has nearly quadrupled in price in 6 short years, up from $4 to one of the higher prices in town at $15!! But do keep in mind, an $8 half order is more than enough for one person. Salsa bar here is decent but lacked on salsa options, no creamy green or orange salsas here. They wouldn't even grill me onions when I asked, he instead pointed me down to the salsa bar, where raw onions were diced, unrinsed and very pungent, gag. They do have daily specials that help some with prices. Sunday wasn't even on their list and ended up being 3x birria tacos for $10. So the counter service was friendly enough but not very accommodating. Ease of communication was only so-so. The dining room is small, order in back by the soda machine. Atmosphere is more modern than your average hole in the wall taqueria, complete with photo op for the Gram. I was super annoyed that they only have tall bar height tables. And the speaker blasting music was too loud according to my kiddos. I usually agree with Guy Fieri on his picks, but I just can't do it with Santo Taco.

Everything felt intentional and well put together. I didn't try the gelato this time, but saw a few tables order it and it looked very tempting -- definitely on the list for next visit. I didn't catch the name of the person at the register, but the staff were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and checking in with tables throughout the meal. Great service paired with great food. It's tucked a bit off the main road and down the alley, but absolutely worth seeking out. A solid spot I'll happily return to.

After I grab the alcohol, I stopped in for some food. I really dig the place as it has that nice hole in the wall type of feel. The menu was also pretty interesting as you can mix and match a lot of combos. I was pretty hungry so I went with the burrito rude bull. I ordered the food to go and it only took about 5 minutes before it was ready. The cashier also gave me some coupons when she found out it's my first time visiting the place which is a very nice touch. Now the burrito was amazing! It was delicious, huge portioned and the fried cheese on the tortilla just took it to the next level. I'll definitely try to stop by next time I'm in town for the tacos.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They've remodeled in the past three years and I really like what they've done! Beautiful decor and it's now a sit down restaurant, which I really like!! Menu is very similar, but expanded! They brought delicious chips and 3 salsas to the table! The crème one was my favorite!! I got a Pacifico to drink and my husband got a Corona nonalcoholic. I went for the Chicken Mole taco with a side of black beans and rice! Absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Bean and Cheese taco and the Impossible meat taco with a side of tots! Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

They are putting the street in street taco that's for sure. We went right during sunset, and it was actually so gorgeous with the mountains. I got Al pastor tacos and my husband got Al pastor, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor was soooo good!!! My husband enjoyed the carne asada and also said the tripa was amazing and super crunchy. They have a cooler with toppings and you get to load up the tacos yourself. They also have a cooler with drinks, but they didn't have any Diet Coke. The guys working were super nice and quick. The people in front of us ordered burritos and they let you load them up before wrapping them. I'd love to come back for a burrito. Overall, it lived up to the hype! Worth the stop for sure and highly recommend during sunset.

Staff wasn't the friendliest but hey it's a hot day with a huge crowd so no big deal. The orders were limited to burrito and taco combos, that come with a canned soda, rice and beans. The taco combo comes with three. Went with the asada and boy were these mediocre. Cheapest cut of chewy meat drenched in oil to help enhance the flavor nestled inside of a store bought tortilla. Tiny tacos with subpar meat filled with the sort of gristle you won't enjoy. For $15 I felt ripped off. The burrito was mostly bright orange rice, not the usual light red rice an abuela makes, filled with half melted cheese, and what appears to be canned beans with a sprinkle of that ghastly meat. Not sure what the hype is about but this place is substandard at best. If you're hungry with no options it's better than nothing but really not worth your money at $5 a taco.
