The huarache was good as well. It's in a cute little food court and since it's just a few steps away from a Rancho market you can stop by for some pastries after. Stopped by for tacos while in SLC because - wait for it - a Tik Tok influencer told me to. I was glad I had time to stop by because the hype is real. Coming from New Mexico, I am no stranger to good Mexican food. The tacos here are the real deal. The pastor and campechano tacos were the best. The asada was, admittedly, just okay. The asada meat didn't have any crisp/char to it and didn't seem very high quality, so I'd recommend opting for other meats. The meat to buy is pastor all others are just ok busy still good! I just like more char in my meat. The salsa is spicy! I love it, but beware, it's actually spicy. If you are in the area, this place is definitely worth a try! You can eat in the strip mall. We also tried a fruit smoothie which was good but way too much sweet liquid to go with food for me and we had a cheese quesadilla which too was the perfect crispy outside and gooey inside delicious. All the food is made to order so it's always fresh and hot when your order is ready. The location is in an indoor strip mall that's attached to a local Latino grocery chain store. You order at the counter and then call your number for pickup when it's ready. There are tables available adjacent to eat-in or they'll pack everything for take-out. The staff is friendly and was helpful with our questions. We've been back several times since our first visit. read more

My brother discovered this place through a Facebook group and they claimed this spot has the best al pastor tacos... and they were right. At $2.40 or $2.50 (can't really remember) it was a bit pricey for a taco, but honestly they did not disappoint. At first glance the al pastor looked dry. After I topped it off with garnishes and salsa, my worries were soon dispelled. Every single bite was addicting. The thin slice of pineapple really tied all the flavors up together so well. The pineapple really elevates the taco. The red salsa surprisingly has a bit of a kick to it if you prefer a bit of heat. I also ordered an al pastor quesadilla, but it was mediocre and a little on the lighter side. I would pass on the quesadilla. I decided to take a walk in the Latino mall because I was curious what was in there...well, best decision ever! I found this gem inside and I am so happy it's near my work place. It is amazing. Ordering here is pretty simple, their menu is on the wall and you order at the counter. They'll call your number, sometimes in Spanish, but if they know you don't speak Spanish then they'll be calling it out in English. The first I came here I went straight for tacos. What else would I go? Their carne asada is really good. The beef is tender and the tortilla is super good. Even though their carne asada is amazing nothing beats their al pastor. It was tender pork grilled on a stick thing and there a piece of pineapple they top it with...amazing! The second time I decided to switch it up and go for their mix huaraches. It's a huge masa base stuff with beans. It's topped with the meat of your choice (in my case it's carne asada and al pastor) and vegetables, sour cream and cheese. It is amazing. And huge! Eating half of it was super filling for me. Totally worth it. If you want the typical salsa topping, they do have a condiment bar. I visited on a Sunday at 1:30pm, and although it didn't look overly busy, I waited a long time for my food. It looked like many of the people in front of me had very large orders, so that was likely the reason for the hold up. I received my food 30 minutes after ordering, while felt like a really long time to wait for some tacos. As previous reviewers have stated, the restaurant is inside of the Rancho mall on the East side of the building. Parking was a bit of an issue, but not a huge deal. I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and 2 carne asada tacos. The al pastor tacos were, sadly, cold. The meat had a good flavor, but I didn't really enjoy them because they were not hot. The carne asada tacos were not very flavorful, but I imagine they would have been better if I were able to handle any of the super spicy salsas on offer. Overall, I was very disappointed. If I return, I will probably try a torta, or maybe add cheese to the al pastor tacos. There's nothing better than a great taco, and I'm SO sad to say I did not find one here today. read more

Well...what to say but danggggggggg. This is some legit joint. Ordered a ton of food and all were great. Them al pastor tacos were delicious and especially after they throw it back on the grill for a little more crisp. Who would had thought that a slice of pineapple with the meat would be awesome. Add some of that smooth green sauce with it. The quesadilla for both carne and al pastor were tasty too. That cheese is the real deal. We also got the hauraches and it's a larger version of a taco, but the shell is double thick with some beans in between. Different from what I'm used to, but sold too. Also had the guac n chips which were a nice start. The place is located in a mall. So, don't be nervous! Friendly service and plenty of tables. Overall, I would totally return to this place! The cashier was friendly at the counter and can communicate well in English and Spanish. The wait time was around 6-10 minutes, which is worth the wait. You can also grab the necessary condiments at a specific condiment station to really enjoy your tacos. I REALLY REALLY enjoyed the thin strips of pork that were marinated in spices, onions, and chilies. On top of that, the underrated star for this taco is pineapple. I'm normally not a pineapple person, however, this is an exception for this wonderful creation of this lebanese style of tacos. The other layer is crispy and I enjoy every bite of it as the fats and juices drip down my plate. This location is in a small plaza, so not too difficult to find. In town from Las Vegas NV for a friend's wedding. We were craving street tacos and my wife and I found this restaurant on Yelp with so many great reviews. So we had to try this place. We The best pastor tacos and cabeza tostadas. Just remember its located in a indoor mall. Luckily we got there before noon as the line was over 15 people deep. I would definitely suggest trying a huaracha - they're huge and delicious. I'd like to see you finish one (you will thank me).
